    Hello I'm on my second CubCadet 33 inch the first one got written off in an accident(car ran over it) the belt guide on mine goes right across bolts on the left side and through a hole in the other,it has a Briggs and Stratton 350cc engine I have no problem with the fuel,you will know when the blades are out of time as they hit together,I had 700 hours out of mine before the timed belt bust,the old one had the blade mounts changed 2 weeks before the accident as the timing pulleys are not available separately in the UK, I changed the belt drive belt from an A70 to an A69 it gives a better cut as the belt is slightly tighter on short grass the A70 is fine but longer grass and mulching the belt tends to slip

      @@JonsDailyHustle , one thing that I have trouble with is the blade timing. Twice last year I had to re- time them because they started hitting each other. It was when I was engaging the blades, that they jumped time. It's not a big deal to put them back in time but you do have to remove the springs and one pulley to do so. More of an aggravation than anything.

    Hi Tracy, I have this mower and like it, but right now it doesn't want to start. If I try to jump it with a booster battery the starter just spins. In cars that means a solenoid or the battery. Looking at the battery it has a clip that goes over it, but it's not obvious how you remove this, have you ever had to do that? And if so any idea how the wire clip comes out? Personally I love this mower, its' one of the best I've had for my own personal use on my 1 1/3 acre lot. I also have a cub cadet rider. Both are the best ones I've owned.

    • @tracyphillips3325
      @tracyphillips3325  2 роки тому

      If I remember correctly, I think the wire clip is held in place with one bolt. I did change the battery, but it's been several years ago. I don't remember it being that difficult. Thanks for watching and commenting ❤️

      @@tracyphillips3325 You were right. When I got the mower up off the ground where I could see it (failing eye sight! ) I was able to see the bolt and got it off, now I have the battery on a charger, and hoping it will hold a charge, since they are rather costly. I'm hoping that there is something like a generic battery with the same CCA etc and size through some other sources, if it comes to that.

    Any updates? Just bought a gently used one that’s 2 years old with 53 hours on it. Mint condition. So far it’s been an awesome machine. Only gripe about it is emptying the grass catcher. Bit of a pain in the butt. Was curious if you’ve had any other issues, and if you’re still happy with machine?

    • @tracyphillips3325
      @tracyphillips3325  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Lake! I agree on the grass catcher. The only trouble I've had is the cogged belt will some how jump a few teeth, and the blades will hit each other. It's done it twice in a couple of years. So that isn't to bad. I just re time it, takes about twenty minutes. Can't see any reason for it to jump time. Thanks for watching and commenting 🤝
