Great video! I really enjoyed the benchpin modifications since I don't have all the deep draw technology. Thanks!

Hiya, Happy New Year & thank you. A great video full of information, tips & tricks. For example I never thought about inverting the GRS bench pin like that. I've just got one & I imagined I would have to remove the peg from the holder. What beautiful work, such skill & craftmanship I love it. Stay safe...Steve...

Great video well demonstrated. Could the blank remain square with the dimension equal to the distance between the screws to aid alignment. As the finished part is cut at the end does it need to be cut round to begin with.

Thanks John, I can see using the Swanstrom 2 and a half inch disc cutter to make a circle, but it would make the vessel a bit smaller. What do you think of this idea or do you have to always use a 3 inch because of the size of canister?

Great question! The deep draw tools will require you to use a metal disc the right size - this will allow the tooling to hold the disc while stretching the metal. Unfortunately, a 2 .5” disc will not hold in the tooling properly. Please reach out if we can help further!

I'm curious why you spent so much time showing and telling how to set up to use a manual file to refine your disk when a small inexpensive belt sander would be a lot faster, a lot more accurate, and virtually zero set up after your initial set up. I do understand that fine adjustments are required in your field. But in this case, with very little practice, you could achieve much more accurate results much much quicker.

Many of us prefer the more manual approach for a variety of reasons.
