"I want to be respectful, so I'll just look and walk around. I won't open them up or anything.".......Proceeds to open the door on the StarCar. I laughed my ass off, because I'd have done the same thing. God love ya, man.
When you were at the grain elevator with that cab over I had to laugh thinking one of these days you’re going to open up the truck and a guy is going to yell back at you from the sleeper that he’s trying to sleep.
Those old trucks 30's-40's have soooo much character. Im glad there is someone out there saving them. Too bad all the older stuff is gone, scrapped during the depression and war time.
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my account password. I would love any tips you can offer me
The excitement in his voice you can hear he just loves old iron . I love it too I hope in the future I can restore a Pete or a kenworth . Keep doing what you're doing twinstick love it
That '73 K100 cabover was sweet! It looked mostly complete inside and out too, even had the old KW torsion bar suspension. Perfect restoration candidate.
This video reminds me of when I was a kid and I'd go to the grocery store with my mom, behind the store was a Mack ( like the Convoy truck ) and a Caterpillar bulldozer . Now they were in service someone parked them there but the Mack wasn't locked so I'd climb up in there and act like I was driving it , lucky the owner never showed up while I was in it
I swear I wish that Old Iron could talk, with the miles that has passed under them they would have some Damn good stories to tell. I hear you mention Peg aka Zip ties and bias plys every now and then, ain’t he a damn card, I would love to hang out with him for a day or too for sure and I would also love to follow you around and check out those old trucks, When looking at a old truck I try to imagine it’s story !! Thanks for the GREAT Video and for letting us tag along !!!
I have a 1980 K100, sure would like to find that collection of old trucks you found. I need some parts that were good on the units you viewed. Thanks for putting this out there.
All I can say the calling of the wild. Let you loose for a day & we almost loose you. Love your work. Your number 1 Fan in Australia Louis Kats from Melbourne Australia ☺ 👍 ❤
Cabover looks like the BJ and the Bear Kenworth if it had the big sleeper. Love your content. Always watching! Thanks for sharing your story! 💥💥🐕🐕✝️✝️✝️❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸
Man that's one of the coolest things Ive ever saw..every truck there had its own life and was worked hard for long hours everyday..they saw the country before there was interstates and stuff..back when what we call back roads now wasnt far removed from being old horse and buggy trails and those was your major road ways..just totally awesome stuff man...
I may have to Take a trip from Ontario to Sacratchewan, man thats a heap load of projects. That K100 is a real beautiful project too, would love to build one and relive some childhood memories of my fathers old kenworth
@@deltan9ne306 in Saskatchewan? Someday I'd like to find a resto project k100 to haul a 5th wheel rv trailer. Either that or just to keep safe in toronto traffic LOL
Great vid! The only place to see your dog chase a coyote and see him run for a week is in the Texas Panhandle. Amarillo south oh my word it’s flat and the wind blows 20-40mph every day! Truckers love that drive from Amarillo to Odessa.
That old K100 brings back memories. My dad drove for a company that ran all KW's. They had around a 100 truck fleet and half were W9's and the other half were K100's and all of them had that same paint scheme. They pulled flatbeds and I remember going with him during the summer. I had a blast riding shotgun. Thanks for sharing the videos. I'm addicted to the old trucks.
Wow all that old iron brings back memories. Like I mentioned before, I drove a K100 in the early 90’s. I was a college student driving for my uncle. It was a summer and weekend job. At the time, I thought it was better than working for my grandfather at his diesel repair service center. Both operations were based out of South Florida. It’s shocking to see these old beauties rusting away.
Hey Twin, Watching from Wisconsin. Thanks for the walk and ride along. That was one hell of a collection of old iron. My friend and I could/would easily spend a day combing through that awesome site. Loved that red Kenny cabover too!! That guy was in great shape and had lots of potential for restoration. Amazing... Thanks again!!
So much cool stuff and surprised how much stuff is lying in the open and all the trucks unlocked you lot must be very honest and trust worthy if you left your keys in the ignition over here it be gone even if its chained down it still goes and never leave anything metal lying around the scrapers will jump your fence for it. What your next project needs to be is a massive flat bed trailer with ramps and a winch for when you end up getting a cab over to fix up then you can save on the transport cost and bring it home yourself, loving the hard work and your channel 👍
I spent the better part of my life in a cabover and many nights sleeping on the dog house at a wayside rest stop or a pillow on the wheel to catch a few winks and get back on the road ! I even thought of buying one to haul my 5th wheel but my wife reminded me of why I have a bad back ! Lol. Problem is I miss the OTR watching your videos but I did my tour and now I’m enjoying retirement ! Leaving it for the young to enjoy !
Oh dang I wish you could bring the R&W Cabover home with you.... such a beauty... & the 444 Cummins I’ve got many good memories runnin one of those in an 88 Pete many years ago runnin Home Depot freight outta Houston over to the Gulf Coast 😃😃😃😃
Some real awesome classics. One never knows what he'll find or see on a road trip. Not seen ole zip ties and bias plies for a minute or two.. Now he's got a bed truck? Guess I'd better head on over there after catching up on Twin Sticks! I thought that Peg was on a one off with the Louisville Cement truck..building on a new patch of dirt..can see how a cement truck would come in handy..but a bed truck...look out a bed truck could be a complete new channel of content. Thanks for sharing your video and keep up the build and hunting old classic old school Iron!
That old Kdub cabover is nice! It deserves a good home other than that field. TwinSticks you have a good home..........provided Mrs. TwinSticks doesn't kill ya for bringing home another stray. (That old 63 Ford shortbox would make a nice shop truck/parts chaser while your at it)
It would be a cool BJ and the Bear build. But I think the only way the wife doesn't kill him is if they move to like a 10 acre property where he can have space to park future projects and a big shop to work on multiple trucks at a time.
Another great episode, Mark! Thanks for all of your time and hard work. Your channel is one of my favorites. Also, thanks for taking us along on your truck hunts. You manage to find some amazing old iron out there.
I really enjoy your “On The Hunt” series. Lots of great pickups and medium duty trucks there. I could find many projects!! Love the crooked KW hood bug you have and happy you’re getting the accelerator pedal. Going to look fantastic!!
That's a beautiful hood! I actually liked the headlights molded in to the fenders. We had a fleet of fuel oil haulers in town that upgraded from the stems to the flush mounts when streamlining was just getting started. Combined with their co. paint scheme, polished stainless tank trailers and lighting, they were some sleek looking riggs!
Glad that you found a new hood. I love junkyards, especially TRUCK junkyards! 🥰 My dad used to take me to a few junkyards when I was a little kid, and I could roam as long as he had time to do his business. Really, I love and hate them at the same time. There are many jewels in the junkyards waiting to be saved or salvaged from. I saved a Crackerbox from going on the junkyard once... I the guy an offer and he accepted it 2 weeks later. I was thrilled out of my socks. 🤩 That K100 was awesome...I bet you’ll get one in the future! 🧐 Cabovers rule! It seems that you either love or hate the cabovers. Until next time...the Porter Dude of Ohio!👍🏻
Walking along with you on that was so cool waiting to see more keep them coming! Mike cincinnati oh I miss driving had 40 years OTR had to get out of the truck got bad sick did feel safe not able to walk any more love wacthing your Show.
Dayton wheels, we used to call them Ohio wobblers or Buckeye wobblers or manure spreader wheels. If they were painted white, we called them South Dakota chromes. LOL! I had a 74 KW just like the red white and black one. 903 Cummins and a 15 speed (deep reduction) Wouldn't get out of it's own way. Bad combination. Ran from S.D. to west coast back in the 70's. Great channel! I just found you and subscribed. Greetings from NE MN.
Yeah that’s how they were back in the old 70s and 80s the paint job we’re spectacular I don’t see that much on the road Rob bunch of bland I don’t like him but 68 Kenilworth in touch like that beautiful absolutely beautiful.
If you are ever in BC you have to swing by Thunder valley towing in McBride. He has close to 40 old vintage kenworths. A good chunk of them run and are worked. I personally have seen him work his orange long hood w900A with the 3408 in it. Just a gem of a truck
thank you for thanking the farmers. just found your channel my uncle years ago used to come up by you and buy old farm tractors fix them up and use them on the farm.

Your loving these cabovers I can see what's coming
Me too. Good old cab over rebuild
And your the first one there
The look of the oil field bed trucks is such a tougher look for some reason I just love those trucks.
Almost every truck that guy has is sitting on aired up tires, shows he cares about each and every one.

Love the K100s. As a child, they were my favourite truck to sketch.
That last yard......that is one where the old workhorses went to go to heaven. That was nice to see. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I'm pretty excited to what old pegs got in store for us with that KW that guy is a real treat 👌
That '73 K100 cabover was sweet! It looked mostly complete inside and out too, even had the old KW torsion bar suspension. Perfect restoration candidate.
Agreed ... that’s why I’m headed back there to take a closer look 👀
That hood for Old Blue is a great find! Nice job!
That place with the old pickups was a treat.
I love "brown" iron !
The 73 cab over is my birth year, gotta be the one for me.
The 73 Kenworths had a gold emblem for their 50th anniversary
That is a gorgeous cabover the red and white that'd be one hell of a project
man unbelievable....some of these are soo old......nice to see them....
I dig when you say “ minty”. Great Chanel.

Good afternoon Mark
Thanks for sharing all the vintage trucks and projects 😊
Take care always my friend 🤠🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The red cabover is a must keep
some cool trucks, could spend all day looking at that stuff myself

You and Skadill, I love this old iron!
Gotta get the K100!! would love to see a cabover project.
I’m a lover of the old cabovers too. I know a lot of truckers hated the safety of them, but you can’t be the look!
I like those old cabover trucks too and they have a nostalgic look
Your enthusiasm for the old is to be admired. Thanks for sharing.
KW A100 BJ AND THE BEAR! You should do a restore of that after snowman.😄
I would so love to see that. Loved that show as a kid.
I thought that was a BJ rigg! How iconic! Resto for sure! It's immaculate!

VERY cool! Thanks for taking us along!
I like the footage from the camera you use. Looks great
seeing all these beautiful trucks makes me wanna cry
I can only imagine all those trucks brand new off the line... what a sight that would be...not to mention how times change.
Mark, I've heard you talk about the movie, "Iron Duke". I just finished watching it. Thanks for the heads up. GREAT MOVIE.
I love those old Loadstars, really cool trucks

Very cool old trucks. That's the kind of Sunday drive I like to take on Thursday afternoon. Good video😎

cab overs are awesome trucks, Australia is full of cab over Kenworths. K200 is the current model, with the right bullbar they can look tough.
