Urge to buy salah 😅
I'll be avoiding your advice on Sterling and to go for Mount; @ £2m cheaper. Sterling has had three 200+ seasons so far. Interestingly, (Iv just read on the BBC) since Pep joined City he's had more attacking returns (in all competitions) than any other player. I believe he's this season's Son; a 200+ player starting @ £10m. lol, hopefully Im right and you're wrong. ✌
chelsea defenders cause their only cb atm is thiago silva but I'll keep an eye on their transfer window (ps : i dont rate de ligt)

Wasn’t thinking much of the video until the Greenwood point at the end, so many will overlook that if people start to transfer over the 2 premium forwards, that Greenwood’s price will likely plummet, very good advice there!

Sterling shouldn’t make the avoid list, he’s practically signed for Chelsea and 100% makes the starting 11
But unless you're going no-Salah (bad idea), no-premium-forward (bad idea) or using a wacky 3 premium team (bad idea), there're no way to get him in.
Cameron Archer is a 4.5 forward who will actually get minutes if Watkins and Ings continue to struggle for us
Chukwuemeka too if he signs the contract. Leon Bailey HAS to get minutes as well, at the expense we've put to sign him, and he's only 5M on FPL.
@@RenewedRS 5mill is too expensive for a bench option you don’t want to play though. He’d only be worth it if he started playing consistently

Greenwood is going to get plenty of game time this season as he can play as a striker or midfielder. He's unlikely to start many games but I'm sure he's going to come on as a sub in a lot of matches. Still, you make a good point about his value potentially dropping.

I agree with you on most of these, but I'm going with Pope still. Can play my 2nd goalie when they face Liverpool and City or just set and forget and count on save points, which he'll have plenty, most likely. Newcastle's defence gets better, especially with the new transfers, and Chelsea will be shaky this year in my opinion. Mendy will be exposed this year, that's my hot take for the season.

Now Sterling is pretty much confirmed to Chelsea, is 10m still too high of a price for a dangerous forward in a good Chelsea team. And as Chelsea’s top scorers have been Mount/Jorginho in recent years, Sterling may take that goal scoring role..

Would you still say Sterling is a 100% avoid now that he signed for Chelsea?
Cheaper premium to a son mid can be possible can have Undav as a backup forward aswell will be their best forward and mount can’t even trust considering they still want a right winger but team balance mount still good

The stats are pretty good for Sterling, 0.88 xGi (0.67 xG and 0.21 xA) last season; better than Son, Mané, Kane and Ronaldo to name a few. He is also, at 27, coming into the prime of his career with the motivation of a WC on the horizon. On the flip side you would have to take him missing the odd sitter and not having pens (and not being good at them when he takes them.) Probably will come down to if you think Sterling will get a good few more points than Mount. You'd have to see what else you could do with that extra 2 mil. Personally, I am heavily considering both of them
He's a wait and see. You have to have two from Son, Salah, KDB, Haaland, Kane imo. Therefore no room for Sterling. Going three big hitters ruins team balance, the premium defenders are too good not to jump on

Perisic should be on this list, we have no idea now how Conte will shape his team now that Richarlison has signed, Spurs have literally 3/4 players for that LWB slot. With 5 subs, even if he starts surely he'll get off early. Even at Inter mostly he comes off at min 60++. For the price there are plenty of better options with more nailed-on spots on their respective teams.

Interesting, I was planning to take a punt on Darwin over Salah for the short term. Just got to see how pre season goes I suppose.
That’s a lot more than a punt, Salah is going to be 100%+ ownership in GW1
I would agree with everyone except the Palace boys and Ronaldo. I'm only talking about GW1 but Ronaldo might be a good pick before switching to Haaland in GW2. On Palace, Arsenal have lost there the last two seasons. So, I'm going for Guaita (or Johnstone pending pre-season) and Sanchez for rotation and I might go for Edouard or Mateta up top. But I would agree no Zaha as that price point midfielder is quite important.

This is a myth. It didn't happen with Ben Foster last year, it won't happen with Greenwood this year. He is the best 4.5m striker we have atm

i disagree about pope, there is plenty of defenders you'd want ahead of trippier, cannot say the same about pope.
Also he's very capable of saves and is almost certainly going to get bonus points when he keeps cs and possibly get a +10pts haul as he did many times in the past.
I think he can do a martinez kind of season and possibly even beat the all time record for goalkeepers
Would love another Martinez-esque season. I think Trippier will have a quality season honestly and I'd rather him for the same price, or Mendy for the same price in goal
I also disagree about Pope, I find the comparison with Trippier a bit weird, they don't play the same position. Mendy excellent value but what if Chillwell, James and one of the new players hits a hot streak (sterling/raphinha) then you're wasting a chelsea slot on GK, can't see that being a problem with Newcastle

Decent point on Greenwood although buying a bench player from a top club (Scarlett) means one less Spurs slot.
Why you considered Darwin from Liverpool, I think he would be in the box F and Salah, Diaz will assist to him, Diaz most of time plays LWF but Darwin as CF or SS

I'll probably avoid because you're forced to bench him GW1 and bank that he returns in GW2 or he'll 100% drop in price
About the points you make for Jimenez and Wolves, what would you say for Neto then since everyone's picking him
Could be the same issue with Neto but at least he's much cheaper. Arguably their offense suffered because he was out for a long time
Greenwood doesn't get loads of time but he does get on so the bench boost might get you a few points on a lucky day obvs he's not gunna be in anybody's first team

I'm in two minds as the new FPL theme is blue and green so in this one I switched the logo top right to match the scheme. The logo works in any colour to be honest
I feel like Gallagher is going to benefit from the new 5 substitute rule. I've got him in my team and I refuse to take him out because he's definitely raring to go. Phenomenal player.

Love the content! But I don’t think Pope is a bad shout, let alone an avoid. He’s more nailed than Trippier with his dodgy injury record and has posted great keeping numbers in second half of last season. He now plays in a better team and more importantly in a better defense (if Newcastle keep up the form from the end of the season). Let’s not forget how good of a shot stopper he was a few seasons ago. My only concern is Mendy at the same price point.
Fair point, but ignoring Trippier I'd still rather grab one of the 4.5m defenders over Pope for 0.5 more. Botman/Schar. Mendy makes far more sense for 5.0 imo
@@FPLFocal Yea, I agree. Mendy is the better pick! I’m just not so confident about some of Chelsea’s “green” opening fixtures in terms of them keeping cleansheets. But GW5 onwards they’re looking very appealing!

Just on Greenwood price potential drop. It is not based on transfers out but percentage transfers out. If a low percentage owned player has high percentage transfers out the player can still drop.
What are your thoughts on Areola? Just been made permanent at West Ham and honestly think he could be their number 1 keeper this season and at £4.5m he seems a good option if he plays.
He will inherit the spot from Fabianski eventually. It remains to be seen when that is the case. He is a good pick in my opinion.
Agreed for GW1. But, I'm unsure about Nketiah. He's a decent finisher fighting for a spot with (probably) the worst one in the league, Jesus. With a kind schedule and the 5-sub rule in place, Eddie might surprise us again.

How can i change formation?
Sub in players of the bench who are in a different position. So for example if you're in a 433 sub in a midfielder for one of your defenders to get a 343
I've gone with Rodri for my city midfielder, I know he's not as attacking as foden or mahrez but he did get quite a lot of game time last season under pep, Also he is sort of the main player in his formation. He is also very cheap compared to others pricing only at 6 million.
Rodri plays at cdm for city so he will barely score any goals or get assists . I’d go for Bruno guimares or Martinelli at that price. Plus city slot is taken up with Rodri
Nketiah will end up starting over Jesus, bookmark it.

Also, City may be dominant but with more of a high level of team work than anything. At Chelsea, they'll just go directly for it which favors Sterling. No taking the time to pass sideways, etc. Sterling will have more opportunities to run with the ball at Chelsea than he did at City.

If he ends up a nailed starter he's great, but it's unlikely and it's a lot to spend on a rotation player. Hope to be proven wrong and he nails down a starting spot
My avoid (for GW1) is Haaland. He’s a ‘wait & see’ for me.

But most likely I will transfer in Haaland for Kane in gameweek (2)

I am Norwegian and have seen Haaland trouhout his early days too and I am saying to get him. If he is confirmed gameweek one he will most likely start most og City's first 5-8 games and be feeded the ball a lot. If you also watch him play, he is not like Ronaldo who takes and makes incredebal shots or dribbles alot. He is more at the right place at the right time guy and shoots quicly, and he runs even quicker! His playstyle makes him more likely to score more goals early and will probably not need time to settle in... I would compare him to a prime Jamy Vardy, which in itself is incredebal! Om my first draft now I have both Kane and Haaland with Salah as a 3 premium. Yes I know, heavy, but I think it can work because of the great fictures! So final thoughts: If Haaland starts gameweek 1, he will score multible goals in his first games, and will probably have a really good outing against bornmoth! I am a higly ceep, especially if he gets alot of starts, if he does not you can take him out, split the money or go Kane, but for the first weeks, he will play alot, and score more!!!
Thus far i agree with all the players listed but " Pope" and " Nketiah" I think like Dean Henderson Pope will play and Nketiah is given a new number so he should be involved more.
Couldn’t disagree with Darwin Nunez more. Darwin Nunez is a phenomenal young talent who is tailor-made for the Premier League given his athletic profile. He’ll play, he’ll get plenty of chances, he’ll get goals.
You might be right but I see Robertson, Trent and Diaz representing better value over the season, plus Salah is a lock for me
yeah but there are safer options. I think Haaland is prem proven and Jesus is a guaranteed starter. That kind of does it for me.
@@FPLFocal Diaz shooting distance is more feet away on average than Salah or Jota. Jota isn´t fit which will give Núñez the nod at the moment. Expect Jota & Diaz to fight for the left starting spot. Núñez offers more aerial threat as well. This shouldn´t be forgotten. My money is on Trent, Salah & Núñez in the first 8 GWs. The schedule is an easy one with only ManUtd & CFC down the line.
I have sven botman and olise. Botman has terrible 3 and 5 fixtures, whereas olise has great 3 and 5 fixtures.

I got dane scarlet 4.5 which now play for portsmouth . Owned by 0.3% . His price won't fall to 4.4
I think Sterling becomes must own if Sterling goes to Chelsea. He would be nailed. Darwin at 9.0 is nailed imo, a 9 mil striker that I think will get over 200 points.

He just might be but I’ll be avoiding initially. I like the other premiums more and as a third premium I feel he takes too much money out of a premium defense
Thing is I have both pope and raya who for now can alternate each other for good fixtures. Is pope still an avoid there?
Not a fan of Pope + Raya, I'd rather Mendy over Pope and a 4.0m backup. That's my current plan

Whatever you do, do not avoid nunez. He is a bargain for 9.0.
Considering that sterling is going to chelsea he might be somewhat useful.
