Hello. I was looking for someone who took the Yellow Fever vax. Since that was 5 months ago for you I wanted to ask for myself if you've had any issues later down the road after getting injected(if you don't mind me asking)?
@@ivri7191 Sure no problem.. No side effects at all...and I not only got the Yellow fever but I got 6 additional vaccines that my doctor recommended. I got the typhoid, Hep A, Hep B, meningitis, tetanus, and polio. Total cost was about $1,100.00. Ridiculous I know. The day I got the shot I felt tired and had a headache for about a day. After that I felt fine and was ready for my trip. My trip went well. The doctor also gave me malaria pills that I had to take during my stay. I toke one every day. Those mosquitos in Ghana do not play. Those pills may have stopped me from getting malaria and or yellow fever because I got bit up a whole lot. Over all I feel fine. I'm planning my return soon..

I've been to Ghana several times and my husband is Ghanaian. They have public and private hospitals there. Based on my experience there I'd rate their care 7/10.

I spent almost three weeks there last year and didn't feel so welcoming. The minute they hear your American accent, you are a dollar sign to them. Most Americans do not have $25,000 usd for rent. We can barely afford $900-$1200 a month here for rent. I will just stick to visiting Ghana and making USD.

I’ve been to both nations, am retired and want beach front property. Would love to move to West Africa, but it’s not an option, even on a $8000 USD month retirement budget.
