Necklace Design with Art Deco - Live Class 9 - Sam's Bead Shop | Rachel Mallis

From Rachel: "The new Art Deco cut from Sam’s Bead Shop got me so excited, I knew I wanted to design a class around them. The sparkly cut pulled me out of my earring obsession, and made me want to showcase them in a necklace. I’m so excited to teach this double-strand, ‘layered,’ necklace design. In this class, we'll go over wrapping the stick pearls with the tiny beads, wrapping the tiny beads directly in between links of chain, and how to construct the necklace."
To bead along during the class, you’ll need:
- Beads: 22 10mm beads, 30 3mm beads, and 11 10mm tube beads. In the example piece I am using strawberry quartz in the Art Deco cut, tube pearls, and blue labradorite. If you are using other beads, the size isn’t as important as how the beads look together.
- Findings: 20 or 22 gauge wire, 26 or 28 gauge wire, 16” of chain (cut into 8 2-inch pieces), 4 jump rings (mine are 3mm, 22g), and a clasp.
- Tools: Flat nose pliers, round nose pliers, flush cutters

I saw the Art Deco cut for the first time today on Brittany, "Turquoise Street's" channel. I absolutely love it! I only really have a few favorite gemstones, but that cut makes even the plainest stone look beautiful! Love all your designs! TFS! 🌺💗

Is there a way to increase her volume a bit? I find Sam's is clearer and louder over hers and well, increasing volumes only makes this more noticeable, but nice things to learn, it's been couple videos I notice the muffly quality on her sound vs his.

Thanks for letting us know! This is an older class and sound is something we've slowly gotten better at (but it's an ever work in progress of course). We actually need a third person to adjust the sound levels and sometimes I don't have that unfortunately. Have a great one! -Sam
