To be fair that's happened at least....twice. Which isn't a lot but it's weird. Imsa, Portland, 1990 and F1 both had that issue of someone throwing the flag too early
I guess the proper question should go like this... _"What is the music legend _*_Shania Twain_*_ doing here? Man... she doesn't feel like a woman in this one."_
1:30 - Tire Screeching on dirt isn't uncommon actually. If the surface is real hard, packed, and slick, screeching will be heard. The sound is a bit loud in this case though.
Dirt racing could use its own movie, it would really introduce people to the sport so honestly this movie is a good ideaaaaaaaand there's tires screeching on dirt. Nevermind.
The only other movie I can think of with dirt racing was Six Pack. Kenny Rogers played a dirt racer that took on a group of orphaned kids that became his out crew and worked his way up to NASCAR.
As bad as that was, Checkered Flag from 1990 (that looked more like 1970) featuring Paul Page, was absolute ass that Martin Scorsece would've blushed of its awfulness.
My dad's been the lead mechanic for his friend's race team for around 20 years. They got out of dirt racing 3 years ago because the drama among the teams was just about this bad. So, overall, the movie is fairly realistic. Now he's ice racing and kicking ass!
I remember watching this back when it came out on the streaming services and it is the worst. Maybe if they used the budget to hire a racing technical advisor instead of 4 people just for John Travolta's Hair & makeup it could have at least been "Driven"-esque.
Seeing Voegs go from last to second in one lap sent shockwaves throughout those of us on track. The shockwaves were blunt force trauma, but shockwaves nonetheless.
Great video as always man! Definitely going to avoid this one. 😅 By the way, My medical bills from the accident at 13:58 are past due, and the hospital is about to take it to collections. When do you plan on paying out? 😰
At 12:19 Here in Chattanooga there is a medical company called stubbs prosthetics.. It's like the name Stubbs prosthetic shames and humiliates their customers for just going there... Lol
@Voegs2Go i miss playing the sims, but the memories of my save file corrupted when i nearly finished my town project back in Middle School made me too traumatized for that :(
I don’t normally comment stuff like this,,, however. This video was incredibly entertaining, honestly amazing job. Reminds me a lot of Scott the Woz haha. Keep up the good content! Also the collaborated skits were funny 😄
My grandpa has done dirt track racing for 40 years and raced in the same series as the cars from this film even the most boring nothing burger race was more fun and eventful that this movie
My biggest problem is during the racing, it sounds like they are racing a small car motors lol. Ok actually what really irks me is that it could have been so great, with great actors. I love short track racing and this makes a mockery out of it.
Gah! A lot of that was trifling! Im glad I didn't buy this when seeing it on Walmart or whatever. Also Sam should know Canonically that Late Models are uf not the most expensive type of Dirt car there is! And he runs into it with no remorse or thought about it. AND HE SELLS HIS 70 BOSS 302 (without a spoiler) that he probably restored and kept because of his wife! I know it was a deathly accident but he will immediately regret wrecking a Late model AND selling the Mustang. ALSO they could've had the benefits of being friends with bob and completely dissolving a hateful competition between them besides a friendly one! And have a good job and car! AGH Correction: The Guy at the Bar will immediately regret Wrecking two late models! BUT STILL HE SHOULD KNOW HOW EXPENSIVE THEY ARE. Also sam could be in on it we'll never know
I wish I hadn't watched this movie before. Unfortunately, I've watched it before this video. It was pretty bad. I haven't watched Driven yet, but i can't imagine it's much worse than this.
Watching Driven as a kid keeps me from hating it. Racing through the streets was my favorite part of the movie. Even though it was completely unrealistic, and they didn’t get any punishment for their actions. Ignorance is bliss lol
John has went downhill acting wise since Battlefield Earth. He's fallen a long way from do I stab her in the chest three times or one time with the adrenaline syringe. LOL hey Tarantino John called and wants to do another movie with you. Tell him I'll call him back.
As far as I am concerned Days of Thunder was kindergarten-level BS. When I was young it made me think it was simply ”Top Gun” but with NASCAR, but upon watching it again - with decades of wisdom and cynicism - I cannot last longer than 5 minutes before I want to power-puke.
AVGN if he was less angry and less funny
Well, as funny for me lol
I think the proper comparison would be with _Nostalgia Critic._
I’d say less angry, less _outwardly_ funny; he still inspires a few nose exhales from me.
“I know Formula 1! I watch Josh Revell!” Is actually so real
And Tommo and Aldas too
All 3 are top tier

To be fair that's happened at least....twice.
Which isn't a lot but it's weird. Imsa, Portland, 1990 and F1 both had that issue of someone throwing the flag too early
Marty Reid was fired for making that error (after his many other gaffes)
Still doesn't top Bill Weber's spectacular career nosedive. I'm not sure anything can top that
Voegs forced me to watch this movie and I am a worse human being because of it
Well hello my favorite sim oval racer

Sam's gonna wanna come on down pit road and get him four fresh Goodyear tarrs!
Me either 😂
And to boot, John Travolta (who plays as Sam, the dad) won a Golden Raspberry Award for the worst performance in 2019.

Thanks man! Was a pleasure working with you.

Came here to say this.
Was going to say the same thing.
Nice to see a colab with Kyle Larson, how'd you manage to do that?
13:47 iRacing clip there was comedy gold
This was a very well done video. Had me rolling. Keep ‘em coming and I’ll be sure to watch.
I know Formula 1, I read it in a book “How to treat your second driver well” by Andrea Sassetti
5:45 THE SONG IN THE BACKGROUND IS THE GARAGE BAND FREE PRESET SONG HELL NAH💀💀💀
I noticed that too lol

As terrible as this movie is, I still think "3 Weeks to Daytona" is worse.

SHATCAR CUP SERIES
Lucky for you the Internet loves bad things
If the tracks black enough you will hear tires screech
I completely forgot about this movie. It was so bad, it seemed like a fever dream lol
This video has no right to be so funny
It has to be generationally bad for it to be worse than Driven 😭
I tried to watch this, I quit after 3 minutes.

Hey, Trading Pain!
I wish I hadn't watched this movie before. Unfortunately, I've watched it before this video. It was pretty bad. I haven't watched Driven yet, but i can't imagine it's much worse than this.
I own this film only because it's Latemodel racing.
And I thought Driven was terrible

I wonder what would be a good film about dirt track racing.
I like the cant swim shirt. Too bad all that shit came out about the singer recently 👎
Yeah this was filmed weeks before it came to light. So kind of unfortunate. But yeah I was really bummed out by all of that. Really sucks
