    Hello. How often adjust the 3d sensor? If I have spindel without ATC, I need to colibrate it each time?

    • @tormachinc

      Hello CNC_Handyman, you do not need to recalibrate the Haimer each time it is installed into the spindle. Whether you are using our TTS system or a BT30 the tool lengths are repeatable.

    Thanks for posting this. Mine has been about .07 mm off for a while, possibly since it got bumped. I had dialed in the run out, but didn't know how to get the needle back to zero. Problem solved!

    How do you set Haimer's Z offset? Can I touch off the vise with empty spindle nose to reference zero, then load the Haimer, touch off and zero both needles, and then zero Z axis in Pathpilot?

      Hello Cristian, Thanks for the comment. We cover how to set tool offsets and use the Haimer in our tool offset video. Here is a link for you.

    How to calibrate Z axis

    I thought you just turn the dial face to zero that needle.... I guess mine has always been out 2.5/100ths of a mm consistently ?????! How do you know that the zero on the dial is dead on 12 o’clock?? 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

    • @tormachinc
      @tormachinc  5 років тому

      The preferred method is to calibrate the Haimer and not turn the dial face.

      @@tormachinc - no... it's just the same thing done the hard way.
      turning the dial face is technically the same thing as turning the entire mechanic by using the setscrews.
      therefore the dialface is made to be rotatable

    Yeah, What about the Z axis?

    • @tormachinc
      @tormachinc  5 років тому

      Hello grappler185, we discuss calibrating the Z axis at the 55 second mark. If you are referring to setting the Z axis height for use in the machine, we cover this in our tool offset video. Here is a link for you.

    Is the Z figure just "as is"?

    • @kirkcreelman
      @kirkcreelman 6 років тому

      Rideworks MTB Z is as measured by another device. Same as any other tool.
