Grazie for the review! what really concerns me is the battery life of the Note Air 4c. As an eink device, it should last at least a week with reading or note taking but from what I am hearing a full charge does not last more than one day which is really disappointing. I understand that using the BSR technology consumes more energy so I am wondering why not a 5000mA battery instead of the 3700mA.
@@JMaxwell1000 This is one of my biggest concerns with expensive e-ink tablets (running android), they're no different than a regular tablet in terms of battery life (not even talking about the total lifespan which is about 3-4 years in any android device). Yeah you can install any app on them but many apps aren't even optimized for these kind of devices AND using the stylus turns into a laggy fest. You'll also have to find the right settings for each and every app as in: add more contrast with a slider, pick between "A2-normal-regal-ultra fast", close the background apps because it might gets slower, "oh no this update broke one of my note-taking features", etc... typical quirks of Android phones but worse because of custom ROMs they use here.... but they call it "customizable settings" as if it were optional.... "it's not a bug, it's a feature". As for BOOX, they'll drop 5 new devices every 6 months with all the fixes... ehemm... I mean features that the previous versions were lacking, with minimal to non real upgrades (the consumerism in China is way worse than here). I'm not criticizing Android, it runs perfectly well on phones and tablets... maybe if a bigger Western company was making these Android e-ink tablets we would have better hardware/software/customer support in the long term... Like you said "you're stuck with an expensive paperweight" if something goes wrong, and it might happen more regularly than you think, just look at the BOOX related threads on Reddit and many will agree. Basically once you buy a product from BOOX the warranty for it expired on the same day, if anything happens = "user's fault you didn't take the proper care" or "it was intended when manufactured" (lack of uniformity within the front-lights for example) Yeah you can also get a better battery life if you only use it as an ereader, maybe 30 hours of usage with 50% FL, but what's the point of picking this over the other options with closed ecosystems like Kindle, Kobo or... idk... Pocketbook? They all have colored screens alternatives and different sizes too. Yeah you can only read (and maybe take notes) on them but at least you know their customer service and spare parts are available all over the internet... some people still use their old Kindles from 2015 (or older) to the day. I bet not many people can say the same about their Chinese products... if you only found them half the price of a Kindle then I'd be a different story but no... they overcharge old hardware because it's a niche market.
Can you link a close up photo of the GO 10.3 & NA4C for black text and maybe b/w manga? It is hard to see screen quality differences with 1080p resolution. Curious how much crisper the GO 10.3 is over the NA4C. Many people comment the color filter overlay of the NA4C makes text look grainy even with 300dpi b/w mode. There are also some annoyed with the moiré/shimmering pattern at some viewing angles.
@@gabrielebarni can't judge text crispness with those photos on reddit. Too low resolution when zoomed in. Would be better if you take each device photo closeup. Even better if you have camera with macro lens.
Thanks. Is it possible to continuously scroll down on a blank page to extend notes on the same page without having to have to open a new one?

Agreed. And just wait until the whole battery no longer holds any charge, then you're stuck with an expensive paperweight.
Cost, weight, thickness... That's why.
