The Pulsar mice are a great alternative to these though for $80. I was using the viper v2 and my hand was just cramping too much trying to claw it for long periods, so I picked up the pulsar and I'm not disappointed at all. I claw with my pinky curled back and ergo actually works well for that.
I actually think the xlite pulsar is better then the g pro superlight because they got the exact same specs just the pulsar has better clicks and I like there mouse feet more too and there cord is better as well so for me the shape works and it's $80 much cheaper then the superlight and a bit better then the superlight too spec wise
No usb C, is not the least to think about, remember the premium that is paid for a mouse like this. I hate looking for the Logitech cable to charge my mouse since it's the only device on the house still with ancient micro usb connection.
Just sold my g pro superlight, I'm not an esports player, I don't play FPS gamesoften. These "esport" mice are like racing seats, makes me uncomfortable, not suitable for daily use
DON'T DO THAT TECHNE! The noise is the battery GLUED to the top of your palm on the Superlight. It's partially loose. The heat of your hand loosens it over time, and your battery will just fumble around inside until you take it apart, fix it, and add new pads.
Shape is king. I have both and I don't like how slippery the G Pro feels. The coating along with how small and short it is, makes it hard for me to hold onto it and I constantly have to adjust my grip. I don't have to do that with the Viper.
Such a great review. I have the same conclusion, currently sticking to the logitech because of the shape, its such a great shape imo. The Razer is better made though and 100% worth buying as well.
@@magnus6683 Better sensor (higher DPI and better accuracy), better switches (no debounce delay), better plastic texture that won't wear down as fast, also less surface area on the glides so less friction
@@jakefromstatefarm2.045 The Viper V2 has a rougher plastic surface, both good for grip but mainly for durability. I know this from many keyboards I had and from my GPW which all got shiny very fast. The Razer will get shiny much slower because the texture is rougher.
For somenone who has the FK2-B as main, how is the feel of the Viper? I want to get one but since it has slightly bigger measurements than the fk2, i'm a little worried that it'd feel too much different.
@@lightwrld1020 Yeah bro, i think that's gonna be the way if they feel different because the specs from the viper v2 are great, but you know, i was hoping to find a new main that suits me without the adaptation time hhahahahhaha
I know plenty of players who play on a 240hz monitor at the highest level who don't use optical switches or speed switches, I'm one of them and I use a custom. It's a huge misconception that you want speed switches at a high level, because it doesn't matter in the end. It doesn't give you an advantage
Even though I still really like the Superlight, the V2 Pro is really the perfect mouse for my style of play. The Superlight's hump was slightly too high for me as a really relaxed palm gripper, and the Viper shape is just perfect. The Superlight's side buttons were also always too mushy for me, not tactile and responsive enough, and I never liked that gap between the two buttons cause the mushiness mixed with that gap made it feel even more finicky to go back and fourth between the two buttons when rapid firing them. The side buttons on the V2 Pro are not only more tactile but more pronounced and nicer to press in general. And then other smaller things like the paint they use on the V2 Pro having a slight rough texture as opposed to the Superlight's super smooth texture made it much nicer to hold, the scroll wheel being slightly lower makes it easier to press it in without fumbling during the heat of the moment, and the mouse using Optical switches so it has even lower latency than the Superlight, all while being 1 gram lighter like damn how did they do it. Like it really is the perfect mouse for me, even though still really like the Superlight, it's just gonna be hard to go back to it after finding what feels like my Endgame mouse period

Same here, the hump makes it more comfortable too while doing a relaxed fingertip or claw and you could get away with palm grip too. It's rlly the best mouse.
I am sorry. "Logitech = Double Click" I had the same problem with 3 Logitech mice before. I will never buy a Logitech mouse from now on. What's funny is my hand doesn't touch even the hump on the G-Pro. They are tiny and I only finger tip them. My problem is I'm worried about double-click. Does the superlight have this same issue as the First G-Pro?
I hope i can play with the Superlight cuz im currently using the Deathadder V2 but i dont like the Shape anymore and cant stand the Left and Right Mouse Button Shape anymore. 6:26 a higher scroll wheel actually perform better because you don't wanna press the middle mouse, it gonna hurt as fck for the long run (especially 3D designer), you want it to be like stop block so you can tilt it from the side
Great review! You just earned a sub 😁 I honestly couldn't decide which one to buy, but it seems the GPX is more suitable for me as I have a palm grip and most reviews claim the GPX has a better feel overall. Viper also has some QC issues.
I gave a glorious model o and i palm grip it, its about the same size as the razer viper v2 and it suits my hand, and is very comfortable i personally think that the viper is very similar in shape to the model o and since im used to that shape i would like it a bit better than the gpx. Personally the two mice are on the same level in both performance and looks but shape matters to me alot so the viper is my personaly the mouse i would go for.
The razer viper scroll wheel is my biggest complaint. I've had 3 vipers and they have extremely flimsy plastic mechanisms to reduce weight every one i have owned the scroll wheel mechanism wears out making it not work and when it goes out the clicks don't work as well either. Each one i have owned has gone out in about a year and a half. Extremely disappointed to see that the v2 did not upgrade this as when i received mine the slightest pressure when scrolling there's a lot a creaking showing they did not upgrade the mechanism even with the premium price for the new model. This mouse is great for gaming for about a year or so if the lifespan is a issue for you go with the logitech superlight.
same.. even though i hate micro usb and think its time for a refresh i just recently bought the g pro x (again lol). Fucking sick of razer quality. I got the deathstalker v2 pro as well and it started great and now pings on all keys around "i" and feels different key to key so fuck that also back to g915 tkl. Used both logitech mentioned when they came out then jumped ship to razer because i liked the viper ultimate so much, then got another, and finally v2 pro. Keyboard always was g915 tkl yea theres issues but not ever QC or usability so ill overlook it. I feel you.
Viper pro v2 is fantastic but the RAZEr dongle are so badly built mine is no longer recognised by pc been trying to find a cheap one eBay but they’ve always unbranded and from China for 40 does any one know if any razor dongle could be linked to the v2
I switched to mouse and keyboard about a year ago and when I did I bought both of these. I love gaming and I play at a pretty high level on Overwatch, valorant, and fortnite. with that being said, my primary focus is aiming and how well the mouse feels. I also use an artisan zero mousepad and if ykyk. the viper v2 has better build quality and buttons. the sensor is better and it plays better for most grips. I use claw so it naturally fits my hand. gpro is great but I hate the side buttons and it feels much slower. it’s probably dpi deviation between companies but I will say I am able to have a faster sense using the razer but still have the same control. I still go back and forth between them because most the pros I watch do use a gpro so I’ve been trying to fall in love with it but I just can’t lol. also I use 2000hz polling rate which is only achievable via the razer 4k dongle. which actually gets up to 8k now!! I found that 2000hz polling rate responds a tiny bit better paired w my 1450 dpi.
I want to try the new viper because I used to own the first viper and while it was great at the time the extra side buttons kinda irritated my pinky. The only thing is that price ain’t worth it for me, I’ll wait for a price discount or maybe someone local to me will sell one for a good price 👌
How about the software? I didn't see any comparison there. I like somftware that allows me to make in-depth macros and also assign profiles to the applications upon launch.
Personally have both of the mice, and I believe that the superlight is a better bet. Especially given how expensive they are, the superlight has a much safer shape that most people will find comfortable. Out of the 2, I find myself picking up the superlight way more.
Personally don’t find the side buttons on the superlight I problem like most people do, the side buttons on the viper are overall clickier and maybe a bit higher quality, but the superlight ones are easier too push in and I like that.
Let me tell you guys that the best feature of GPX about the versatility: When you are working, you can palm it or relax claw it. When you are playing like super concentrated, you can claw it. When you feel super highspeed in game you can fingertip it. So no matter how your daily wrist fatigue is, or your muscle memo fails you. You can adjust your grip any time and feel the same control of this mouse. That's we call the future of the mouse.
I agree with this fully. I didn’t realize how much I appreciate the hump until I was doing stuff other than gaming. It’s an all around workhorse of a mouse.
Ive had both, went with Viper at first, the left handed buttons bothered me, had to get use to them and the low profile just didn't sit well with me, I need the hump as well, loved the G pro super light almost immediately.
great review. can you tell me if the middle mouse click down on the razer is as smooth and quick as the Logitech? i ask cause i use the middle mouse for apex legends enemy pings and need a quick double click with middle mouse
Is there something cheaper than the Razer Viper V2 Pro (closer to the G Pro price point say) that has USB-C? - I like the G Pro but I cannot bring myself to buy a MicroUSB device in 2022!
Hello! Im about to buy a new mouse (i have g502) and i dont know if i should get the gpx or the viper v2 pro. In my country the gpx is around 30-40 euro cheaper so im not sure if the viper still eorth it.😊
Just heard that bloody rattle in G Pro at 0:57... I just got mine yesterday and I'm having same issue here. Its very common as far as I know. In my opinion it is a great piece of gear but If I had received it like that two years ago for 150 I would immediately send it back. I paid 90 with postage so Im happy with the product as it is but I'll still get it fixed. Apparently it is the battery that is not glued properly. When it comes to build quality I think Razer wins. Not saying that viper is worth 150 because its not and theres no question about it. Logitech is not bad either. My Master MX3 kicks ass in every aspect. I also own Razer Naga Trinity and Basilisk V3. Those mice are brill but not without the faults. Trinity after 3 years ( wasn't used much as I was gaming on Laptop and PS4 back then) started to loose signal. Maybe it was sensor or cable, I dont really know. Then I went for Basilisk V3 and after a month or so I had double click on the right button. So again you never know what you gonna get but for 150 you MUST receive a flawless product and I think Logitech didn't deliver it in my case and opinion. I'll get Viper v2 when the price gonna come down to see what really those two brands deliver in top tier mice segment and what is the experience.
I think if you're on a budget get a razer viper mini. Its dirt cheap and youre literally paying all the extra for the wireless. Its honestly as good and i won both
With Logitech you don't have to use the worst SW for any peripheral ever - I'm looking at you Razer, how did you manage to make something that needs an account and spams you with installation every time I plug in the dongle?
Personally i hated GPX, i have 19cm palm, but i hate the hump, i gave that mouse away to my nephew, then got the "Starlight-12" witch broke like 3 times, got it fixed every time but then spilled some coffee (that parts on me) and ruined it, shape was good build quality not so much. Getting a new was was a pain in the ass so i went for the V2 Pro, so far so good, shape is great for me, loving the switches (ESPECIALLY THE SIDE BUTTONS, never had such excellent side buttons) performance is great, though battery life in not even close to GPX. Buta again like the man says guys first try the shape its more important then all the other things combined.
Superlight shape is so much better to my hand however the clicks are much better in Viper V2 Pro, tbh superlight clicks feel cheap, especially the side buttons, they're mushy...... We need that Viper mini wireless mouse I feel like it's gonna be perfect for my hand
Well you can compare the pricing to other mice. Then decide if its expensive for what you get. Like if you get most of it with another mouse for half the price then its probably an expensive mouse and not worth it for a majority. The people who can really make use of that extra bit they get probably know and are willing to pay.
Hi Techne! I wonder how many months do you replace your mouse grip tapes? Coz mine started to lose its glue(6months). but its hotline games griptapes the cheap one.

Woah, I didn't even know you uploaded. I literally clicked on your channel when you commented on Boardzys new video, and it LITERALLY uploaded right when I got here. Wow.
lol
Thank you for the compassion sir! Still using the g pro superlight but still might pick up that v2 if it ever goes on sale
If you claw grip the EC2 or Deathadder, the Viper feels like that, but without all of the extra bulk.
100%
The Pulsar mice are a great alternative to these though for $80. I was using the viper v2 and my hand was just cramping too much trying to claw it for long periods, so I picked up the pulsar and I'm not disappointed at all. I claw with my pinky curled back and ergo actually works well for that.
I actually think the xlite pulsar is better then the g pro superlight because they got the exact same specs just the pulsar has better clicks and I like there mouse feet more too and there cord is better as well so for me the shape works and it's $80 much cheaper then the superlight and a bit better then the superlight too spec wise
I had the v1 xlite wireless for 5 months and now got a double click issue 😑
@@abdulmajeedal-hadeethi458 ok. well that happens on the GPX also which is $150 so that doesn't invalidate what I said.
although I know logitech is pretty good about replacing faulty units, and I'm not sure about Pulsar...
@@aaronwhitmanmusic I'm pretty sure any mechanical clicks will have double click issues eventually
Viper V2 Pro is so damn good, my go to mouse now.
Bruv a simple match in for its would ruined the mouse
Shape is king. I have both and I don't like how slippery the G Pro feels. The coating along with how small and short it is, makes it hard for me to hold onto it and I constantly have to adjust my grip. I don't have to do that with the Viper.
Such a great review. I have the same conclusion, currently sticking to the logitech because of the shape, its such a great shape imo. The Razer is better made though and 100% worth buying as well.
How is it better made
@@magnus6683 Better sensor (higher DPI and better accuracy), better switches (no debounce delay), better plastic texture that won't wear down as fast, also less surface area on the glides so less friction
@@pasi123567 thats a lie, viper v2 has worst coating while gpro x superlight has a better coating
@@jakefromstatefarm2.045 The Viper V2 has a rougher plastic surface, both good for grip but mainly for durability. I know this from many keyboards I had and from my GPW which all got shiny very fast. The Razer will get shiny much slower because the texture is rougher.
The Logitech price tag is actually miserable, with the most cheap Omron switches start failing after a couple of months.
razer good
For somenone who has the FK2-B as main, how is the feel of the Viper? I want to get one but since it has slightly bigger measurements than the fk2, i'm a little worried that it'd feel too much different.
You will get used to it I moved from viper mini to g pro superlight and got used in like a week you got it man totally worth it
@@lightwrld1020 Yeah bro, i think that's gonna be the way if they feel different because the specs from the viper v2 are great, but you know, i was hoping to find a new main that suits me without the adaptation time hhahahahhaha
I know plenty of players who play on a 240hz monitor at the highest level who don't use optical switches or speed switches, I'm one of them and I use a custom. It's a huge misconception that you want speed switches at a high level, because it doesn't matter in the end. It doesn't give you an advantage
Thx for the video! Do you have a Viper vs Deathadder?
EK that "techne" is a fake, these are going around everywhere

@@EKOddLinkyou still using the viper v2?
@tinocabral4201 That or Death Adder V3 Pro, which is basically just the Ergo version of the Viper V2 Pro
@@EKOddLink, I bought a DeathAdder V3 Pro and it's not the perfect mouse for my big hand (I use fingertip grip), that's why I'm thinking of replacing it with a Viper V2 Pro. Do you prefer Viper V2 Pro or DeathAdder V3 Pro more? Viper V2 Pro's perfect for fingertip grip, right?
it's simple if you're a finger tip go for v2 pro viper but if you're a palm or claw you can go for logitech gpro i have v2 pro and a finger tip player and happy with it
but even if anyone is confused go check your favourite player you look up to and copy him and look at his grip and mouse you will get your answer instantly don't put much thought on it
Because of course you guys are smart enough to follow the guys who have similar hands like yours and similar gamestyle so you have your answer there don't make it complex for yourself guys.
Thank you iv been trying to figure out between these two for a long long time, much appreciated for the content it did help me make a decision on the Logitech G light bc my hands are larger and i desire a better fit for my hand.
GPX feels so much more stable to me so I had to to return the viper v2
Same here, the hump makes it more comfortable too while doing a relaxed fingertip or claw and you could get away with palm grip too. It's rlly the best mouse.
Love the content as always techne!
thank you so much
I am sorry. "Logitech = Double Click" I had the same problem with 3 Logitech mice before. I will never buy a Logitech mouse from now on. Ergonomically, I think GPX is better, but because of the optical switches, I would prefer the Razer Viper V2 Pro. I am currently a Viper Ultimate user and I am very satisfied. I'm following from Turkey, greetings 🙂
I'm still using my g305 lithium AAA battery mod with hyper glides. Superlight is 100$ more, and I still don't see that big of an upgrade.
Another great upload techne. Love the ending lol.
I've used so many different mice, back in the days. I always was a Palm Grip user and used heavier Mice most of the time. I hope the Superlight isn't too light for me. What's your recommendation for me? My hand size is 19 cm x 10.5 cm.
superlight is good for you, i was a palm grip user, bought ultimate and struggled with it for 2 months because i cant get used to clawing the mice or fingertip
Hey what are those grips you're using on the g pro in this video? Is there a link for those somewhere? I have the superlight and it does get harder to control with sweat on my hands after long gaming sessions.
It's Corepads grips
Viper pro v1has been the best mouse I've ever used. I hate plugging it in to charge so the dock it has is a game changer.
The V2 does not have a dock, you have the V1 which does come with a dock and rgb
@@Tak_09 I found the rgb an hinderance tbh you never see it anyways since your hands covering and the dock is just whatever waste of space useless feature.
@@potatopotato4028 yeah thats why Iam currently using the V2 Pro.
You dont know what you have😂
@@potatopotato4028 my dock broke after 2 weeks of usage
the viper flares out at the back, very much worth mentioning. the gpx feels more slim in the back, but the viper feels fat in the back and the end of it makes contact with my hand in uncomfortable places
Quality-wise, it's the Viper by waaay more than most are willing to admit. Shape is subjective, but damn, I returned 3 gpx's that had excessive button wobble, uneven shell seams, and cheap side clicks. My Viper Ultimate and V2 Pro were both perfect on the first try. Not even close.
Which one feels smaller on hands?
What crazy timing I just order the GPRO X today, after using the viper mini for 1 year now, only mouse I’ve ever used, I woulda bought the new viper but I wanna try new shapes and sizes instead of using the same shape pretty much
your gonna love it, the gpro is a must own mouse
im completely the opposite, i love my v2 after having a g pro for almost one year. u gonna love the shape tho ! the viper for me is really the better one, after bering curious about the viper shape
@@mindofmxz also it has better specs then the g pro superlight so it justifies the price a bit better compared to the superlight a lot of mice have the g pro superlight specs but no mouse has the viper v2 specs like there senor and there clicks so for me the viper v2 pro is a better mouse spec wise
@@TheTechne I bought a superlight after using viper mini as well, but I absolutely hated it surprisingly. scratchy skates on my pads , random jitter in game and worse performance
Just bought a Viper V2. Im pretty hyped for those new side buttons. The viper ultimate always gave me issues when trying to press them.
random mouse but for those looking for one, consider the za13c, holy hell mine just came in and im instantly feeling more control and already getting better results in val
Just ordered the razer, and the only reason was because I use a fingertip grip
well, it is really amazing to see how each gamer is different!, some gamers need the hump, and I personally find it really really uncomfortable, I love the low height of the Viper.
Hey what mouse pad is that? Thanks
Gpx has some sensor spin outs too.
U Need small hands To Palm it
@@Jerham the hero 25k flagship sensor when my cheap ass 8k Mercury sensor doesn't spin out? Definitely not.
both mousefeets are bad
I gave a glorious model o and i palm grip it, its about the same size as the razer viper v2 and it suits my hand, and is very comfortable i personally think that the viper is very similar in shape to the model o and since im used to that shape i would like it a bit better than the gpx. Personally the two mice are on the same level in both performance and looks but shape matters to me alot so the viper is my personaly the mouse i would go for.
I ordered the razer seen lot of bad review on Logitech side...😊
Love the energy!! Great review lol
You deserve every sub you have. Always great content
The only thing is that price ain’t worth it for me, I’ll wait for a price discount or maybe someone local to me will sell one for a good price 👌
dude my pinky killed on the ultimate, v2 pro is soo good though
well good news its on sale for $127 instead of $150
How about the software? I didn't see any comparison there. I like somftware that allows me to make in-depth macros and also assign profiles to the applications upon launch.
Personally have both of the mice, and I believe that the superlight is a better bet. Especially given how expensive they are, the superlight has a much safer shape that most people will find comfortable. Out of the 2, I find myself picking up the superlight way more.
Personally don’t find the side buttons on the superlight I problem like most people do, the side buttons on the viper are overall clickier and maybe a bit higher quality, but the superlight ones are easier too push in and I like that.
I would never recommend the Superlight to anyone. Terrible mouse.

Let me tell you guys that the best feature of GPX about the versatility:
When you are working, you can palm it or relax claw it.

Ive had both, went with Viper at first, the left handed buttons bothered me, had to get use to them and the low profile just didn't sit well with me, I need the hump as well, loved the G pro super light almost immediately.
what mouse grips on the superlight?
great review. can you tell me if the middle mouse click down on the razer is as smooth and quick as the Logitech? i ask cause i use the middle mouse for apex legends enemy pings and need a quick double click with middle mouse
Prefer optical switches. Double-clicking problem sucks.
The superlight doesn't suffer from any doubleclicking. The old gpw did
Is there something cheaper than the Razer Viper V2 Pro (closer to the G Pro price point say) that has USB-C?
For a quick summary
Logitech=palm grip
Razer= fingertip grip
It's personal preference what is great is that we got something to choose from
I think if you're on a budget get a razer viper mini. Its dirt cheap and youre literally paying all the extra for the wireless. Its honestly as good and i won both
I see you have the gardener's tan at the wrist. xD I have the same thing, hehe.
With Logitech you don't have to use the worst SW for any peripheral ever - I'm looking at you Razer, how did you manage to make something that needs an account and spams you with installation every time I plug in the dongle?
Owned both, one in my bed room and one at my gf’s bedroom, i can definitely say i still suck at fps games.
Is the Razer Viper V2 Pro good for Xbox series X? 🙏🏽🌞
On the Logitech you don’t have to press it down you can side click it. Never used the razer so idk if that would work on that too
I love Logitech but they need to get with the times and make everything with USB-C
Yes, any recommendation for G Pro like mouse with USB-C? - I am not buying a MicroUSB mouse in 2022 lol
im a razer fan and recently bought viper ultimate for £65 with the dock. But between these two i would get superlight since it is £50 cheaper
just got the viper v2 pro and it is honestly the best mouse i have ever bought
a good pick up for sure!
Gpx is now 99e. Still worth?
yeah
I just bought G Pro X superlight 1.5 month ago :)
1.5? Just say a month and a half lol
And the XM2w?
I'd say that bouncing thing on the gpx is the tension mechanism for the switches
G pro superlight vs deathader v3 pro ?
i prefer the superlight over the v2 for one reason and one reason only: the powerplay
"Shape is everything" THATS WHAT SHE SAID.
And then bought the Logitech GPro.
