It means no matter what evidence is brought forward you reject the concept of an all powerful being outside this universe.

Here is an interesting point. Before dinosaur bones were discovered if the scientists were asked what has a greater possibility.gigantic creatures flying or a winged horse they would definitely choose the winged horse. Now they believe in the giant creatures flying yet laugh at the concept of the winged horse!
Between the 10-19 minute mark, multiverse theory is introduced and discussed. Sam doesn't quite understand what Muhammad is trying to elucidate. Unlimited means... unlimited. Sam is looking through the scope of what is possible in OUR universe compared to what another universe could do (with OUR universe as the standard -- which you cannot do because in multiverse theory, each and every universe is separate from the other in limits/restraints/possibilities and none can be held as a standard to another).
So to put it in layman terms, the atheist is trying to tell Hijab it can either be universe A or B because if it cannot be universe A, it must be universe B. Hijab asks why can it ONLY be A and B when in multiverse theory the possibilities in those universes are endless. The atheist then responds with an assertion that A must be the standard upon which B relies on (uses the lightning bolts out of eyes example -- if it can't work in universe A because of our scientific limits, then it wouldn't be possible in universe B because gravity would be different = humans wouldn't exist)
Here, I feel like Sam as well as the general public viewing the video would understand Hijab's point more clearly if Hijab stated that "You are saying it can only be A or B in multiverse theory, knowing that the possibilities are endless. I am saying it can be A, B, C, D, E... Z, AB, AC, AD, AE, AGZ, AMXY etc etc."
Even though this example would initially be seen as counterproductive because technically the AB, AC, AD argument has its own finite numerical restraint, it would clear up the smog of the argument and allow Sam to see that he cannot selfishly use OUR universe's scientific restraints as a standard for an unlimited amount of other possible universes.

da best o' da best "why is it not important?" the same reason it is not important to believe in any of the supernatural beings that we humans claim exist, e.g. Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Garnesha, Rama, Krishna, Hanuman, Yahweh, Amaterasu, Ahura Mazda, Ekankar, Elohim, Aphrodite, Zeus, Apollo..etc. No doubt you have no reason NOT TO think it is important to believe in every supernatural being that humans claim exists. My reason for being dismissive of all these claims including your claim is that it is divisive and second it contributes nothing to solving pertinent problems of human existence, e.g. how will we solve the problems of crime, corruption, environmental degradation, starvation, shelter, energy generation, ensuring we have a second home planet for survival redundancy of our species and that of other species that we depend on.
You know I agree with the abolition of alcohol, usury, smoking & the unnecessary killing of non-humans for food. So let us design a society where we do not need to use the threat of punishment as a deterrent to crime, corruption, environmental degradation etc... How would you do that?

I think before we feel bloated and be overwhelmed and agitated why some people have not, maybe yet, believed in God or in what we believe, we should look at ourselves deeply, and see our own limitedness and imperfection. Intelligence alone isn't what gets us to Allah. So please, for those who understand, keep humble and know that your not advantaged because of your intelligence or because you're better than these people. Only Allah knows what's hidden in our hearts, and how we will end in the afterlife. None of us is entitled to anything except by the mercy and grace of Allah.

I think the best arguments are made directly from the Qur'an (i.e. how it's immutable/ its predictions of the future/ the naturalistic phenomenon described within it (much of which were just recently discovered), and the code for ethics/morals it provides. Not saying there is anything wrong using pure logic, but even that has its limits. And Allah knows best.

I can only assume you have also read ALL other religious scriptures, e.g. the Vedas, the Bible, the Torah, the Buddhist scriptures, the Sikh scripture, Tao scripture, Shinto scripture, the Zoroastrian scripture, the Norse scriptures...etc. Of course Muslims insist,that to really understand the Quran one has to understand Arabic, so forgive me but I'm still learning Hebrew, Sanskrit, Pali, Greek, Punjabi, Japanese, Chinese ...etc. Do you see the dilemma one faces about the absolutely truth claims that are mutually exclusive, i.e. if one religion is correct the others cannot be. The only way to know which, if any, is true is to learn the ORIGINAL language of each of the religious scriptures and study them. Given, as Theists insist, our ETERNAL fate rests on thoughts shaped by belief, it would seem that stakes are extremely high to GET OUR CONVICTION RIGHT. I cannot imagine how many decades it would take to learn all the languages of the original holy scriptures religions and then read the respective scripture for a truly comparative study, one would also need to study science(maths, cosmology, biology, genetics, chemistry, Newtonian physics and quantum physics) in order to understand the atheist perspective also. How many years did YOU need to make this comprehensive comparative study that determines your ETERNAL fate? Given what is at stake we all better hope that REINCARNATION is true....lol.

I have deal with these type of atheist before, the reason is very simple of why they don't want to accept God. When I asked them why and found out that I think its safe to say all of them have grudge against God. Example "if God existed why there is suffering in the world", "if God existed, then why didn't he helped the poor child", "God did not helped me when I am in trouble". All of them leads to a single point of which is hatred or grudge against God. Not even a single atheist of this type gave me a different pattern of answer. I think only Agnostic or agnostic-atheist the ones who truly seek the truth, answers. Correct me if I'm wrong then by all means.

Towards the end, I think the reason for the guy to not agree with the "infinite amount of possibilities", is because he assumes we exist because of the fine-tuning of this universe and hence human life is not possible without the same fine-tuned limits of this universe and hence humans can't be any other way in a different universe, because for them to exist, the fine-tuned limits already set what the humans can do, which we already observe in this universe.
they simply don't want a god.... it doesn't matter if he exists ... they don't want to know ... they don't like to follow orders and be restricted in their actions... it is not a matter of proof ..even if god shows in the sky and tells them i am your god they wont believe him and find an absurd explanation to it.

Amazing point being brought up. I wanted to see Br. Ali get into it about uncertainty and peace. Also I think the whole "more evidence" thing from the one in blue would/should have been questioned more, like do you consider evidence and what IF it happened/shown to you would convince you of this independent thing.
The atheist does not concede the point of contingency because of the problem of induction, he later on doesn't concede the point of the infinite multiverse theory where everything (hypothetically) is actualised because of yet again his problem of induction, though it is a hypothetical example where all possibilities can be actualised, so induction is out of the picture.
He applies (the atheist) what he has seen and knows in this paradigm and cannot comprehend another paradigm/paradigms with different features. He presupposes that in the other (hypothetical) universes the same constructs of life and laws of the universe are the same, whilst the theist is clearly stating otherwise with clear logical reasoning. Infinite universes which means an infinite amount of variables and thus an infinite amount of outcomes.

Your contingency argument could also be applicable to disproving evolution theory (at least) with out creation at the basis.
3:30 he’s now bringing in black swan into the wrong context. The argument is that anything has finite variables, then it is dependent. If we travel to another planet, it would still have finite variables. Now you could say “what if we travelled to another dimension, and it didn’t have finite variables” is like saying “what if we were all actually purple watermelons by the seashore” yeah sure you can “what if” all day but that doesn’t reduce the strength of the initial argument. Yes you cannot absolutely prove there is finite variables, but you cannot actually prove anything. That’s what brother Hijab keeps calling these people out on, in every other science, everyone accepts strong evidence as acceptable until falsified, but when it comes to religion alone, atheists keep pushing the bar by saying “it’s not strong enough, it’s not strong enough” instead of actually just trying to falsify the argument the way you normally do in science. And what’s frustrating with these guys is that they know they can’t falsify it, they admit that if they accept the strong evidence, they are one step closer to believing in Allah, but then they go back to their strategy of “what if”, “it’s not strong enough” and the silliest one “I just don’t like it”. How can these people consider themselves intellectually honest or rational?

17:00 this guy just doesn’t get it. In multiverse theory, there is an be a universe with different rules. In this guys head, he literally cannot perceive a reality with different rules. He just keeps proposing realities with the same rules with slight changes. He doesn’t actually understand multiverse theory. He keeps thinking that the human creation is unique, but that’s just because humans are unique according to the rules of this universe. Human beings can be anything in infinite multiverses with an infinite amount of different rules. It’s not so hard to understand, even little kids who watch comic book movies can understand this.

this one have a flawed in it.. the reason the prophet can go above to heaven cause he have a ride.. and tht ride arent from this realm.. it have different attribute which enable it to cross space travel which to us seems impossible yet to it no problem at all.. should use other example like rationality equal to hv faith equal to believe in religion(one god) only of part which makes sense.. thts y some of claimed religion(hindus,trinity) have part which makes no sense to believe.. ur task to makes them believe in religion(one god) and able to show sense and reasoning in all part including some of the unseen part of the religion(one god)

scientific in the Quran is called prove and miracle(knowledge that is reveal ahead of time) which give enough reasoning and argument for those who have decent sensibility and decent mind to accept reasoning and understanding to believe in it.. and those who rejected/denied it.. we should have no qualms whatsoever of their choice (although most of them the unbeliever will lash out nonsense to support their mindset[they hv set their choice so tht anything else come they will reject it])

Actually i don't agree how there can be infinite possibilities, if you believe in a multiverse.
Taking our universe, there cannot be an infinite amount of possibilities. Because, there is only a finite number of ways for matter or energy to be arranged. Impossible things cannot exist or happen, such as a squared circle. Impossible things may exist in other universe's but not in this one. Taking the isra and miraj example, according to known science, this cannot happen even if the universe is infinitely large and existed for eternity, because impossible things cannot exist or happen.
There is not an infinite number of possibilities. Matter and energy can only be arranged in a finite number of ways, that cannot contradict with the laws of the universe.
Why do people debate something that no facts are given for? Why debate a personal subjective experience or faith itself? I have no time for useless conversation.

May Allah bless our brother doing open dawah on Islam. Hope this heard by our brother doing the dawah which one of our ustaz/scholar giving analogy of the isra mikraj by giving example of an ant travelling probably 500km in one day is possible. Well, to an ant it may not be possible to travel such distance in such period of time, but to the human who bringing the ant in his pocket and flying with let say aeroplane or helicopter, it would be possible for the ant to travel that distance back and forth in one day. Because the capability of the human possess. And so as well the israj and mikraj, is the capability of Allah power and it should have not been impossible to isra and mikraj to happen because Allah is the AlMighty and can do whatever He wants.
I think causation is better and simpler to understand than contingency argument.. I don't know why br hijab is not using that..?

unlimited universes doesnt mean that the impossible is now possible, it also doesnt mean 'every outcome'. we can't know what is possible in another universe, but we can know that the laws of logic will always apply.
he just said infinite number of universes means infinite number of possibilities i.e. anything can happen ..he didn't say every outcome is possible in another universe.. he said that for each imaginable possibility, there could be a universe (among those infinite number of universes) that actualizes that possibility. As they agreed that all the universes will not be exactly the same they could be different..
It's a bit funny and sad how this Sam bloke fails to understand the concept of infinite possibility in the theoretical multiverse framework.
