That box connected to the alternator in that dodge p/u is one of the first 12V/110 inverters. I had one in my p/u in 1968 and we ran lights, skill saws, and other 110 stuff to work after dark. I found a brand NOS in my junk the other day!
Hi from SoCal, Mom had a 78 Magnum XE new with the 360 4bbl white with a blue vinyl top quarter window louvers full power and blue leather interior. It would cost 60 dollars a week in gas in CALIFORNIA. It was traded in 84 for a new Jeep cherokee.
economy will never recover. sucks when people get into resto cars, then the market takes a face plant. if i had the cash, id def drive up to buy something, but moneys tight these days. loved the show, mike seems a cool guy, would be fun to motorhead with for hours!
I remember buying 68's for 800 dollars! Those were the days!
who knew I had so many dodge challengers in the 80s I was practically giving them away
some nice projects there Mike
but to find a serious buyer with the cash and not just a dream
might be hard to find
I'll take the charger
Those are some great cars, I thought the Super Bee was Panther pink at first until you lifted the hood but I bought a 76 Cordoba in the late 80s and it was so faded it turned pink but I actually buffed it and it turned red again.
crazy to not be restoring that Charger right now, they are HOT and yet your doin that other car now instead! you gonna drive this one or save it for the next guy lol!!!
Kinda agree it looks fairly straightforward to finish too. Honestly he’s working on the hardest cars first lol
He’s doing what he wants. Isn’t that what we all do.
I'm dying to have a 68-70 Charger just need a good straight roller
Get that charger in ASAP
Bahaha it's junk dude ..it's a 12g car all day long
BC stands for Bring Cash
I would grab the superbee.
Dukes was 68-69 no 70's were used on the show
I’m pretty sure I remember a quick pass of one hard and there near the end - I’m going to assume I remember incorrectly and there’s documentation etc
That said , the 70 were worth less and still canibalized for parts
People may well ne paying these prices, but wouldn't be me. $40,000 and more than that to finish it. No disrespect to Mike, he says its not really for sale..
Maybe Monday I can come over and see you. Are you looking to keep your cars in Canada?
Wednesday is better
Monday is a holiday, don't think the shop will be open.
really loved your series mate was awsome thanks from down under australia
Way too much got mine for 4k. Chargers are hot and always will be due to desire, apperance, low production numbers there are chargers worth 100s of thousands of dollars but also have 200k worth of work done or survivors. dam, 40k for something that has been just barely started is out of reach for norm people, but the rich as normie i would just finance something already done at that price i dont know anyone with that in cash for a project. Love the show!!!
2000lb. Payload makes the military truck a one ton.
Send it to the general lees graveyard😂
I love dodge charger❤❤❤❤
By looking at truck ill say USN by body colour and style of lettering under hood.
I like your video of cars
We know Mike really well, of he got a microphone so we can hear nim well, show us more details of things and cars he talking about!
Tell Mike that the us government truck should be his new ride
To anyone in the comments that think Mikes prices are to high" he doesnt need the money" amd i will almost bet that the only one he would actually sell " would be the magnum" and his price is ridiculous on it" so not to maney people will bite on it" the same for the crew cab" but im sure he wouldnt budge on the price on it either lol 🤪 But itd be awsum to go visit him and " Haggle" on the price of his VERY COOL SHT" keep at it Mike" 👍🤞
Hi rust 🔝👋👋👋👋
40 grand? He’s higher than a kite he still living in the 60s and 70s😂
How much for the 80s ford silver step side?
2500 he once said it has wooden bed
Wood is good.
I love the smell of sawdust in the morning.
Smells like victory
These are.my cars for sale nope because i said ill sell it doesnt mean ill sell a car 😂😂😂😂😂
You can't change the Vin boys that's eligel
You mean illegal?
You don’t got no a body Mopar s I need one I’m putting a 440 6 pack in one as sooon as I can find it at a good price get a kick out of your channel and I can’t get across border or a 63 64 polars Belvedere all your cars are desirable I’m in Ontario not a lot of stuff here
LOL
If I had the money I would buy everyone but please take your feelings out of putting the price on these cars. I hope you sell everyone of them to people that will finish them.
No hate intended but this is why a lot of younger people (I'm 16 myself) dont want to get into classic cars because boomers are asking ridiculous amount off money on vehicle that needs 20-50k more worth of work
Stick to your civic.
@@chrisroffel8447 lmfao ok boomer
You're not understanding That when you do $20-$50,000 worth of work you could have $120,000-$150,000 car
@@landyachtgarage no dought your parents made you in the back ov one ov these old skool cars boi your generation is fcked you don't no what yous are I'm surprised your not asking what pronouns the car wants to be called
Beautiful car, great price
I’m 66 and loved the old muscle cars. But the men 45 and younger don’t like these kind of cars anymore. Better sell for what ever you can get because the generation that loves these cars are slowly dying away
Daylight retrofitting new cars there are pieces of s*** and they went all the car shows because they had all this retro BS old original stock cars do not get any recognition
I'm so glad you hopped over to youtube and kept the good stuff coming
where have YOU been ? ppl dont hop
That's a lot of rust for a lot of money!!! 40K? Hilarious
Yea but 68 chargers are super rare
@@makaibyrne’69 is rare thanks to the Dukes Of Hazard but still, would you pay $100 for an old TV that needs a lot of work? Look at the all the work he’s had put into that ‘64 he’s having done! That car has been completely rebuilt with hardly any original parts! The frame had to be worked on before it could be painted! The floors throughout the car had to be completely replaced! New genders or donor fenders all around! The replaced a door! Any sensible person would have taken what the scrapyard would have given them for that junker instead of spending thousands upon thousands of dollars!
There are those that can be restored & then there are those that just need to be crushed & poor ole Mike has a bunch of crusher ready junk!
Let's call this dude what he is Jah who
@@GNewcomb-q9v68-70 chargers are all around equally as rare. And every classic car is “rare” (generally speaking.) the dukes of hazard didn’t even make the 69 charger that much more rare. They destroyed 300 of them when tens of thousands were made.
Let me assure you that unless you have a numbers matching highly optioned car and the vast majority aren't. Even today the fully loaded 700 hp Chargers etc are limited edition. For every one of those they built two hundred automatic six cyl.
Even the V8 manuel is an expensive option.
The chances of getting your money back out of a build is slim to none, unless like I said numbers matching high option.
You are 100% correct. It generally is twice as much to build as to buy. As you said it takes a special optioned or rare car to even break even. The hobbyis makes sense if you do as much as you can yourself. At least a rust free shell removes the complicated part of the build and therefore puts you money ahead over a rusty one that is cheaper initially
@@blairsmith726 best advice I heard is to take a deep hard look at the car. Figure your parts list. Price it up.
Figure out how long it will take.
Once you've crunched the numbers crumple it up and throw it away. Double the parts cost and triple the time.
Mike owns his own shop and has a junk yard.
Like he said thou some parts cars sitting out there are now rare enough they are worth getting back om the road.
Of course we car junkies want the four on the floor, big block V8, 2Dr coupe numbers matching.
The ones that top $100,000 at Barret Jackson.
If you get to age fifty and have a net worth of ten million you can buy one.
For others buying a super clean Satellite MOPAR, with paint you can swim in, V8 hemi swapped 2dr buckets n console for $50,000 is more obtainable,
Bunch of rotted out overpriced junk. For $40K you can get a running and driving 68-70 Charger, this guy needs to put the pipe down.
10k lollllll
Complete running same bring a trailer $5200 U.S
You know he's in Canada right??
My 1st car (in '91) was a '78 Magnum with a 360 in it. Same colors as the one you got. Got it from my grandmother who bought it new in '78. Damn thing would light the tires up quick.
Well , with these prices . kind of pushing people out of the hobby
Is the 67 El Camino for sale ? If so, how much ?
$65 -75 000 is the violation guess
That Dodge crew cab was most likely from the US AIR FORCE . Nice old truck , lot of potential.
Good luck with your prices White Rostaman… you’re a funny dude!
That's RASTA you English Major
Well I understand inflation but rough like that running and driving is 17,000-30000.USD. No big block no four speed no tripac. You're upside down right now without anymore spent.
Good to dream I suppose. If you give the charger a general lee paint job then you can get fifty out of it if you find a 500 cu engine.
How much for the plants behind the shed?
$10 000😂😂
Mike will probably let them go for 5k
Mike the rally dash should go with the charger.the rt should have a 1-15 SPEEDO
Every time the word rare is mentioned the price seems to go up $10,000 😝
Lol the butcherd hood on the satellite is from the R/T
What's Dee Snider doing with a junkyard full of cars???? What you gonna do with your life???
What is the price we gotta pay for these cars?
I'm pretty sure those ol Dodge trucks would go pretty much anywhere you'd want to go cause that wench on the truck was there for a reason and I'm pretty sure they came with everything that's on the truck. That 318 2barrel engine had hells of torque and horsepower compared to most 318 engines. I had a 318 2barrel engine that got 28mpg on gas and I don't know why but it did and it always ran so smooth plus my brother had a couple that got great gas mileage as well plus he'd drag race em and do pretty well but in the 70s we'd race anything that felt strong, even straight 6cylinder engine's did pretty well compared to 2days V6 engine
Damn if I had the money lol. Love the videos bud
Hi rust bros ,I watched all your videos and i eally like them, if you need a mecanic in your itablishment i am at your service, thank you.
Say what ya want about the 18 i had a 78 caravele. I beat and burnd the the crap out of it even 80 k.m reverse burn out lol .
I really like that 69 crew cab Dodge and if it's still available next march on buying it
I am trying to find out about the Morris minor… don’t know how to get ahold of Mike
Bad time to sell. These all should have sold 10+ years ago when the market was burning hot and stupid prices for full resto needed cars. The 30-40 year olds who had money have moved on to newer cars or have bought their dream car already. A 20+ something aint ever gonna buy a resto needed car too many nice newer cheaper faster cars out there. Good luck. I hope the show comes back
hoarders sell when they want!!not the market!!
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Im a 30 something and im looking for 87 Monte Carlo SS Aero coupe to restore lol
😂😂😂you crazy
10 years ago Mike had 400 and something cars, so I think he probably already knows that.
How do you register a 2020 Honda with all the bells and whistles and go to a car show and when that's beyond me with all bolt on BS
Man when he talks i keep clearing my throat,😂😂😂 ❤
I was just thinking the same, he needs to get that checked out
That exhaust system sounds really bad😂
Sounds like my speakers are blown.
Build that charger next!
We’d all love to see you finish that
theres a fellow in our town that does the General Lee shows at fair grounds..he has destroyed so many of these cars it's unreal
If only you delivered to scotland 🏴🍻 have a bonnie day 👍
If you truly wanted to buy you just call freight and it will delivered wherever you want
You know I like the show I like the videos, but I hate to use the word. But it is now so unkempt and it’s everything I mean everywhere you turn things just look junkie. I watch Blair working in such a mess he must have so much patience. I mean really who wants to work in or around that clutter.
You would be surprised.
I love the serial number under the hood of the crew cab Dodge!
Hola xq no ponen traducción al español ,gracias
Should have kept my 68 charger 383 magnum
40 G's for a roller that Mike thinks it's rusty I can just imagine
dreamer on those prices but i respect the hussle
The prices are Canadian for one and fairly reasonable these days for the vehicles shown.
shipping the dodge crew cab to switzerland😎 🔥🔥🔥
I couldn't see the clutch pedal, only a brake pedal. Still kind of scratching my head there. Wonder if someone needed it for something else.
I think it was a push button automatic
Im gonna come up and see you.let me know if you want any rust free stuff.
Mike that fender was from me Dave in az
Vegas was fun
Is this the next project after the Malibu is done?
I wish I had money to buy one. Love old Muscle Cars
Way too expensive!!! 😨😨😨
Are you sure he didn't crawl out of a hole.
I really need to save more money!!
Yeee Yeee!
BC!
BCTGV bring cash to get violated.
Awesome work guys
Dukes of hazard was 68 and 69 they NEVER used a 70. Very cool car I hope he don’t sell it and gets to drive it one day
You can tell us all you have done but what’s seen is very little! Also you have to realize you have had these cars sitting outside with no windows or windows rolled down! The snow & rain up there will take its toll! You have to factor that in & realize you will have to take a loss on most of these! Lots of love Mike but there are many cars you have that many U.S. body shops would take one look at & tell you to scrap them!
I understand Mike's train of thought..but with the amount of old cars he has hed need two lifetimes..to thin the herd..hopefully his kid understands these cars need to move..they arent getting less rusty...good luck and fortune my friends
Sounds like a number of bad seals and decisions led to that you now have too much money in each car. Anyway, hope you get what you want out of them.
The General Lee’s were all 68’s and 69’s dressed as 69’s
They never used a 70 the fenders and quarters are slightly different.
And they never used a hemi car.
The crew cab truck I wood buy
I’m instead in the 69 super bee do you have better pictures of it and can you clarify if you have the fender tag? Are you guys going to Carlisle?
Be cool to build as shop truck
It would be nice to be seen but not heard who is be hind the camera should speak when spoken too just saying from the U.S.
Cover them treasures up Mike.
have 68 and 69 Nova in yard ?
Nice ride dude
If I were you I’d be driving that charger every weekend life is short let them sell it when you croak 🐸
thought my computersound had a problem... Hope he'll recover soon
Bring Cash, Nice
Id love to hear more about that 68 Buick GS. I think Mike said it was a 400 4 speed?
Dee Snyder and Ron Jeremy.
Do you have any 69 Mustang GT or they sell like hot cakes , all you have are Dodges
Changing Vins again eh
Wouldn’t let that charger be rusting away. Sell it if ur not going to do anything to it. Besides yard art.
