Regarding the Sarah Stern case, I am from the same area of where it happened. They were friends since childhood and even went to prom together. The guy found out she had been left some money from her mother who died of cancer and her father was in Florida on vacation. He had thought she was left a big sum of money but she was only left with roughly 10,000 dollars, and most of it wasn't even usable because the bills were old. The guy killed her and dumped her over a bridge that I often drive over and see her picture there with flowers and and memorial where she was dumped to be never found. Truly sad story
I remember the freezer mom. She tortured those kids. All of them. They told her what she wanted to hear. She wanted an excuse to kill and she tortured them until they said what she wanted them to to say. She abused all of them. This was such a tragic story.
My Father was a Social Worker and a Supervisor of CPS. He said to me once you have no idea...the horror stories I could tell. Report when you see something that just doesn't seem right, you might save a child.
I remember the third one. The one where Andrew Curry recorded his friend. The victim was Sarah Stern. Her mother saved a lot of money I think in cash. When she died, she left it to Sarah. Sarah was going to use the money to get out of town and start her life. But she made the mistake of telling her killer she thought was her friend. He basically killed her for the money. Andrew suspected him because he originally floated an idea for a movie about doing the same thing.
it get worse he knew her since they were little kids if I remember right. and 90% of the money was in her bank account safe from her father that 10 grand was what was left, and it was old beat up money as well, i remember him saying how old and beat up the money was, it was like junky bills like he was disgusted with how shitty the stolen money was. that stuck with me. her childhood friend did this to her. then spent the 10 grand ALL ON DRUGS. I remember him saying he would figure out how to get the rest out of the bank somehow.
The woman who killed her kids says that her youngest son told her that the dead children molested him and she tortured them for an extended period of time and then killed them months apart. But they were never able to determine if the youngest child was telling the truth. She is broken but past abuse is not a defense.
I remember a documentary I saw a while back. It showed that many serial killers and murderers have a damaged or underperforming prefrontal cortex of the brain, which is the part of the brain that is key to reasoning, problem solving, impulse control, etc. and often struggle with anger and aggression.
I worked with traumatic brain and closed head injury patients that had frontal lobe damage. Most were from car accidents, hitting their forehead into car windshields and metal. Some never recover and can be unrecognizable to their families. Just not the same as before. They have the same symptoms as you’ve mentioned.
The woman who murdered her children & put them in the freezer did it because she believed they had molested her youngest son. It is a very dark story involving torture and death.
Yea I was completely confused listening to the story. I thought her son was molested and she killed her son because she didn’t want him to have the same life and problems she had, like a mercy killing except she tortured him and then did the same to her daughter for the same reason. Thank you for clearing that up.
The fact that her children were so young, I wonder if the youngest son told her something that she perceived as molestation but it wasn't the case and she completely snapped. I'm just wondering if she may have had delusions because of her past trauma.
@@sondraj816 At the start of the this video she said her son told her his siblings were assaulting him. She believed him & she killed the older children.
To a psychopath, murder and torture is no big deal. They do it for sexual pleasure or an attempt to feel something. But it never works, bc they are incapable of feeling anything. How they are created has been a debate since we invented the word "psychopath". However, most, are born with a mental deficiency. Then a good number of them have horrible childhoods on top of the mental issues. It's a perfect storm. But there are rare cases where the person has had a "perfect" childhood/life, wonderful, nurturing parents, etc.
What in the outstanding hell is going on with the first guy! While, I can understand being upset for someone touching your children, killing these people did not help her remain home to parent her children. The level of casualness that these people possess in unnerving. The last guy is absolutely a monster. To hurt a defenseless child, have ungodly acts with her corpses and mutilate her is an exceptional level of sick and vile.
Psychopaths have a sluggish limbic system. Their amygdala is also low functioning which is like the seat of impulse control in the brain. So, if you were to witness something horrific with a psychopath, like a baby slowly getting run over by a car, your heart rate would increase greatly, as would your breathing. You'd start sweating, your mouth would get dry, and your pupils would dilate and you'd be filled with strong emotions like dread and horror. But the psychopath feels nothing. They may be a little fascinated by experiencing something new, but would not feel any of the horror and trauma that you do. A psychopath is not created. They are born that way. A sociopath is a different matter. They grow up with crime and extremely low morales in their everyday life, and often their family life. This desensitizes a child and normalizes criminal behavior. If there is abuse, they also are filled with rage that can explode when triggered. The psychopath tends to be more calculating while the sociopath is more disorganized and impulsive. Not all psychopaths are evil. CEOs, politicians, surgeons, and people in dangerous, high-stress jobs tend to have higher populations of psychopaths because they don't exhibit PTSD like normal people and are cool under pressure. They also tend to be superficially charming and have above average intelligence. A good example of a celebrated psychopath would be James Bond 007. He would score very high on the Psychopathic Checklist. He's charming, sexually promiscuous, cool under pressure, calculating, can kill easily and make a joke afterwards; all hallmarks of a psychopath.
I would also probably say that psychopaths rise to positions of authority due to battle in our earlier days of civilization, and it worked out so well for the successors that we just adapted to people exhibiting those charisma qualities guiding society.
He isn’t talking about the carpet burns for sympathy. He mentioned it in the context of how strong she was. He’s painting a picture of the fight she put up
The reasons can be literally anything. I’ve always been fascinated by the criminal mind. I avidly watch crime shows. People have killed for no better reason, than they just wanted to know what it’s like to kill. Or their victims just irritated them. Some will give a sob story about their childhood, only to reveal later that they had a good childhood. Sometimes they never reveal why they did, what they did. We live in a sick world.
The first guy reminds me a lot of Jerrod Murray. Both were completely emotionless and delivered their confession to police without any hesitation or attempt for self-preservation. They lack any emotion or feeling, in a sense. It's just complete, unbridled insanity.
They had trouble moving tiny girls bodies!? I’ve moved three grown men 160-190 lbs to revive them (different times) for cpr, completely unconscious from od(they all survived).. and I’m not especially strong, but that adrenaline should kick in if ur normal. Something’s wrong chemically if u don’t get that rush to move that 115lbs of weight..
Right. I worked as ekg tech and later xray tech. I had to move very large "dead weight" (unconscious or immobilized unable to move) patients to get the job done. And I was about 115-120 lbs. 🤔 🤷♀️
The guy who killed his childhood friend did it because she had just come into an inheritance after her mother’s death. That’s why they stole her safe. They thought her money was in there. They were pissed that it was only $10,000 because she had been telling them it was more.
Yes there is a certain thing in the brain for psychopathy, its our empathy. We develop in in childhood years I forget the exact age range but if someone experiences trauma (and many things that we may not consider trauma as adults still can be traumatic in childhood) usually a prolonged kind, it will stunt the development of empathy. This might not have a lot to do with this but as a former paramedic it was drilled into us that in most cases someone who is suicidal or tried to take their own life isn’t necessarily against killing someone else so when we’d be transporting one of those patients there would only be one of us in the back of the bus with them and we’d be vigilant about not turning our backs to them. I guess I wanted to mention this because most serial killers are, or have been suicidal. Please remember that as you go through life
The last part of the video where suspect #1 was shown was hard to watch because the video footage was really awful. Hopefully that police department invested in some better cameras.
That first kid’s mother said “I don’t want you to but if you’re serious about it, I can’t stop you.” As for the case you asked more about, yes, they were friends for years & they wanted to kill someone is my guess. She had a large inheritance that she’d just received & that was the catalyst for her 2 supposed close friends to decide to kill her.
Im not an expert but current research seems to indicate that psycopathy, that cold lack of empathy, is not just an emotional detachment but may also be a structural detachment between regions of the brain. Put simply the parts of the brain responsible for feeling empathy dont form neural pathways to the reasoning centers of the brain. Some of these people physically cant comprehend other people as people feeling real pain. In some cases its a genetic abnormality, in others its caused by substance abuse by their mother in utero or physical abuse that caused traumatic brain injury. Without specific testing using MRIs or fMRI its very hard to detect before something goes horribly wrong. But even in this video there is clearly a spectrum of feeling and emotional understanding, not every single one of these killers is exactly as cold and devoid as the next. Some are certainly play-acting, make no mistake, and that complicates things but the woman that was brutalized as a child stands out as the obvious outlier. She clearly felt and felt deeply. What she did was wrong but on some twisted level she thought she was sparing her children her own experience of suffering. Every one of these cases are as unique as the people they involve and they always involve at least two people: the perpetrator and the victim. Complexities upon complexities. So some of it is structural to the brain and how it develops which could be genetic or environmental, and some is purely how someone is treated once they are born. Some people are born this way but make no mistake a person can be forced to become this way if hurt badly enough.

U should watch the video with Mitchell Blair in court...u think she's evil in this video well she took it all the way there in that video..that woman is full of hate & rage
I try to steer clear of the word "evil" because of the overly simplistic, all-or-nothing, and supernatural overtones. As if it's all somehow down to a demonic birth and there's no such thing as mental illness, childhood trauma, traumatic brain injury, lead poisoning, drug reaction, etc. I'm not saying such cases should roam free or escape all consequences, just that "evil" is a purely emotional and unhelpful way to talk about it. As for the all-or-nothing implication, there's no such thing as a person who is pure good or pure evil, only degrees of good and bad. The word "evil" implies "pure evil", and hence ventures into the mythological
I would have to respectfully disagree with you. While I do not know anyone that committed murder, I do know if someone that, in everything they did was nothing but evil. They did not show or act upon anything that wasn’t evil. When being around them, you can just sense it. You feel very uncomfortable and have to watch every word you say. They show no remorse for anything they’ve done. And this person I knew is a woman. I’m thankful I will never have to be in her presence ever again.
@@TexasRose50 I respect your right to use whatever words you choose. I avoid "evil" because of the religious overtones and a rejection of the concept of "pure" evil.
No. I read and understood exactly what you wrote. You reject the objective ideals of good and evil. You believe yourself to be beyond any religious concepts. You are an evolutionary cul-de-sac, dragging down humanity through your lack of belief in anything greater than yourself.
Your listening skills are terrible, Kabir. The victim at the end of the video was 10 years old. The killer had no intention of trying to "date her". There are so many other comments you made that prove my point but I'll leave them alone.
We have to remember that God allowed Satan to roam through the earth Satan is real just like God is real, people don’t believe in Heaven or Hell this is your evidence of Hell (pure evil) and Heaven/Hell do exist. Get your life right with Christ Jesus because one thing is definite we all will die one day, the question is where do you want to spend eternity, Heaven or Hell?
The second person, the lady, doesn’t belong in this video.. what she did was rather logical, illegal but not really immoral, totally understandable, not so evil
Oh she definitely belongs in this video. She’s a an evil, manipulative liar.
@@aleatharhea Perhaps you admire evil?
@@neshobanakni perhaps you didn’t actually read what I said?
Ok calm down dude …I didn’t know she was 10 till I read your comment either
Don’t be rude if you don’t like Kabir then don’t watch
She not only tortured her two older children before murdering them but she also tortured and abused her two surviving children, the children she claimed she killed for. The surviving children confirmed the were never sexually abused by their siblings
…in all seriousness, did you miss the part where the 9yo boy and 13yo girl she tortured and murdered were her own children?
Luckily none of these disgraces took place in California or New York or they would still be walking free.
