noooooo i get the americans saying g**sy since no one knows shit about it here BUT SŁAWOMIR??? HES CENTRAL/EASTERN EUROPEAN HE SHOULD KNOW BETTER 😭😭 that made me so sad omg
i know that a lot of MBA seems to be from a religious conservative background, so they probably dont have convos abt slurs a lot, i mean even most ppl dont, especially not with that word.. being european i think ppl coming from europe in general probably dont even think its important, especially when in my country some of these words r slurs to english speakers, but they r the name we have used for certain ethnic groups that no one would bother correcting it, since culturally its hard to shift to saying the actual name (bc so many ppl say the slur, even many of the ppl from said ethnic group do bc they know ppl wont bother/they themselves dont mind identifying with it) to be more specific, in french we use both Rom + "gitan" to refer to them, kind of interchangeably with other romani groups (so like all three sintis, roms, n "gitans" could be referred to as rom/gitan/manouche etc. by someone who doesnt know better) gitan would be translated to g***sy, but like many if not most of them refer to themselves as such here (when speaking french) bc thats the word our language uses for them, even tho it denotes origins from Egypt, which is incorrect many of these "nicknames" we have had for ethnic groups, r often becoming seen in the lens of racial slur usage, now with a more american way of seeing activism in france, so theres a tension between wanting to be respectful + ppl of ethnic groups calling themselves as such jokingly/to reclaim it sometimes sorry for yapping, i just find this part of language use so interesting, im happy u brought it up lmao
since its not their turn but they r also in class to learn, i assume its for them to remember the variation too!! maybe the teacher doesnt have time to individually see all the ppl do a variation, so they mark with the person demonstrating

Hi, could I just ask why there are always other people at the back of class watching or marking
since its not their turn but they r also in class to learn, i assume its for them to remember the variation too!! maybe the teacher doesnt have time to individually see all the ppl do a variation, so they mark with the person demonstrating
