I have been building my collection for around 10 years now so I definitely didn't buy everything at once. I did need to buy some additional storage furniture and items for my room but I already had a lot of it. You also definitely don't need as many colors as I do to be successful lol. I probably spent around $1500-$2000 on the additional furniture and other various items. If you need more supplies it may be a little more but you also can budget for these things and build it over time.

I have a quick question, so I’ve just started using luminary products & I love them the only complaint I really have is that all my clients experience heat spikes with it even on short nails (when it’s not built up too much) I have a kiara sky lamp & even on low heat mode my clients are having issues with that. Would you say the Akzentz lamp is the same way? I’m trying to figure out which lamp I should invest in before taking that leap. They aren’t cheap! 😩 thanks in advance
Yes the Akzentz lamp will still get hot but I have my clients go in and out to prevent it. Luminary makes their own lamp now with the low heat/flash mode.
I’m trying to figure out a custom sit/stand work desk, and was curious where you got your table top from, or what the dimensions are? Is it pretty comfy and balanced to use with clients?
Katie, is the IKEA lamp all you use for your pictures? Or you use it in conjunction with the slimline lamp? Also, do you position the light on top of the hands or in front/side of them? Maybe you can make a video about taking nail pictures 😉

You have to select the “style” there’s a bunch of different styles under the one listing
I just double checked and it looks like they have the top piece but not the bottom unfortunately. I’m sure there are a lot of similar organizers ☺️

Hi Katie, do you use a specific light bulb for the ikea tertial? I want to get a new light for photos and am hoping to get the ikea one you mentioned.
I do have a different bulb but I can’t remember the exact one. It’s a little brighter I think
