Ward clearly won and had Kovalev in big trouble. The early stoppage was nothing to do with Ward and if anything Kovalev should be blammed for going down like someone who has completely given up.
He should done 1 of 3 things - 1. Clinched 2. Taken a knee 3. Tried to return fire to at least attempt to appear like he was game

Clinching is expected in boxing, where have u been. He never cocked back and fired his head, however if u ever boxed or done any martial art, you would know u use ur head like a third arm. Low blow? Nigga hush, Kov wore his belt line high as fuck, look like an albino Erkle in the ring cause he knew his body was weak. Plus with all the padding and the cup, none of the low blows did more then he was supposed to.

why's everyone Mad at Andre? he stepped up to Light heavyweight and took out the best, that right hand shook kovalev had him reeling across the ring he was legitimately hurt, which followed by numerous left hook to the head and body. whether the ref had stopped it there or not it was inevitable that he was going to get a TKO.
there were no low blows, boxing doc proved it. the belt line was good according to Tony weeks explanation right before the opening bell

Tony Weeks himself was on twitter apologizing for stopping the fight early, and clearly said they was low blows after re watching the fight. Terrible stoppage and even if kovalev was gassed, he should have warned for the low blows and gave him a minute. They wasnt all low, but man there was a couple that would bring anyone down.

RocNation and GYM/Haymon can come together, agree on a deal between the camps, and then take the fight to whatever platform that gives the camps the best deal

Andrew Hagan I say maybe one low blow and the rest borderline. regardless ward right hand is what did the damaged. kovalev should have complained to at least give himself time to recover. no boxing match is perfect. low blows headbutts happen. if it happen its the boxer option to stress there complaint to ref and give your self time to recover. kovalev didn't do that he continued to fight and ward dominat him.

How was Kovalev gassed after 4 rounds? I remember when a guy got tired fast, we used to say he didn't train properly. Now, we're ok with this clown saying he overtrained. During the fight when Malignaggi was calling the fight, he expressed his shock at the low blows. He went further and said the referee was wrong to stop the fight when he did. He gave his reasons why. Then, in Wards room after the fight he never once called those low blows to Wards face and he did a complete 180degree turn and kissed Wards ass. Malignaggi talks a lot but he's got a dishonest streak in him. How the Brits give him work is a slap in the face to British color commentators.
Funny thing is, in another video Paulie is talking about the excessive low blows and here he whips out....
I usually agree with Paulie, but not this time. Kovalev was getting his arce kicked and blamed it on low blows. Toney Weeks warned Ward of low blows in the 2nd round. The other time(s) he deemed them not low. Just go back and watch the fight. For those who are saying his cup moved, if you hit a guy at the top of his cup it's going to move. Kovalev was getting hit right there right at the line and it wore his arce down. If you lost money that's too bad, but Ward won this fight.
This is boxing, shit might get a lil dirty. Ward had maybe 2 legitimate low blows and then 2 right on the belt line. Kovelev kept holding and putting Ward in head locks multiple times. The fight was surely stopped too soon but it doesn't matter because Ward was going to win anyway, Kovelev was spent, done, exhausted. It is what it is.
Man Boxing needs these type of matches. Thank you Ward and Kovalev for putting yall bodies on the lines especially Kovalev I know he still pissin blood RIGHT NOW! And Kendrick Lamar said it best "DAMN"

Andre Ward is the highest class boxer out there. He's got the best skills.
Congratulations to those champs who do fight everyone in front of them, DO NOT CHEAT THE SPORT, earns what they own, love their family and treats everyone with respect. These guys are gladiators but when you start turning your back to your opponent and start looking at the referee while you're committing "borderline" fouls yourself... It's not a good look. Both of these guys are spectacular fighters who will live to see another fight and true boxing fans are thankful both of these fights even happened.

The fight was good for boxing, super entertained and full of action. Kinda rooting for kovalev and had him ahead by one point or at least draw before stoppage. The stoppage was kinda premature for me, but regardless, kov was gassed out and it could turn uglier later rounds if he stayed like that. nice win for ward, gotta watch it again and learn more
I feel sorry for Kovalev losing a great legacy but Ward prevailed so, tho I don't like him much (arrogance), I got to give him credit for stepping up to take on the long time champ and winning...especially after being away from the sport for so long! I do think that in both fights there was a certain luck element that went toward Ward and against Kovalev, but still, two times? I can't deny that Ward is a great boxer. Hopefully Sergey will rise again, altho I see a lot of talented guys in light heavyweight division coming up now. I think it'll be hard for both guys to stay on top, especially considering both are in their mid thirties.
Anything can happen in boxing.... Kenny Bayless would have deducted a point from Ward for 3 low blows and given Kova a breather to continue the fight..... Ward did not need incompetence of Weeks to win.

As Andre showed bravery to do what he did, I give a lot of credit to Paulie to go to Ward and speak his opinion that the stoppage was premature. The is fight was very controversial. Very hard to word a opinion like this without getting a fighter defensive.

Richard Steele robbed Andre Ward of a true boxing talent win. Andre was robbed and his legacy affected negatively by a poor decision by a referee as I think Andre was well on his way to a decisive victory by HIS boxing ability and elevated power in this match.

Paulie is right. Ward's dirty tactics cost him a clear and definitive and great win. We'll never know how much the low blows earlier in the fight affected Kovalevs stamina and its a shame because Ward fought a brilliant aggressive tactical fight, and he didn't need the low blows to win, his legal body shots were taking their toll, but because there were also low blows we just don't know that he would have got the stoppage without them. I think it is obvious he had worked Kov out and would have won by points at the very leastI learned two things in this fight:1. Kovalev spent 7 month sooking about the first fight and he took that cry baby attitude into the ring with him, making him a cry baby bitch, and a front runner who cant handle adversityand 2. Ward is a dirty fighter. I've defended him in the past, saying his headbutts vs Kessler were more careless than deliberate but he continues to throw his head around, press with his elbows on the inside, and followed up the low blows vs Barrera with multiple low blows here. He's dirty and when you consider his over the top bible thumping, it makes him a total hypocrite, a god botherer who doesn't practice what he preaches
