I’ve been jamming lately with a bass player who plays similar to this . We recently performed a funk version of “All Blues”. I was thinking this would be a good tune for us too play . We’ve been working on Blue Bossa too. I’m a woodwind doubler so Sax, Flute & Clarinet, but I really like the bass/flute combination! Thanks

Thank you very much for your kind comment. Rather than a name, I highly recommend you to find who makes you excited musically in the beginning, then transcribe them and move onto new musicians and understand who does what, in terms of difference between them, and the way of their playing (piano players, trumpets players, guitarists)
I just play flute but thinking in different instruments way, as if for instance, I am playing piano... do you know what I mean?

Hi there, first of all let me tell you that I love the way you play the flute. You are awesome. I am a saxophonist, been playing the sax for over 5 years so I'm not a beginner but I still find improvisation a bit hard to quite grasp. Is there any practicle tip or advice in order to get better at improvising? Thanks a lot!
in general other than practicing technique and stuff try to here phrases in your head before you play them and thinking about the shape of your phrases, also if you can listen to a lot of jazz and if you hear a line you think Is really cool try to transcribe and play it back to really understand what they were thinking in the moment

depending on how much time you will spend for the instrument. Everybody's effort is different... I have been playing flute since 1992...
It is also related to how much you want to be a professional at that instrument...
