As a man who struggles with severe panic disorder and anxiety, this episode was really awesome. It's both enlightening and quite comforting to hear two guys openly talk candidly about their own struggles with anxiety and it's a dialogue that more folks should have. Keep it high and tight, gentlemen!
10:00 I got home from the bar on my birthday last year and I had a thought that gave me a lot of relief and continues to give me relief to this day; “Nobody that you like doesn’t like you” If you consider somebody a friend and don’t have a concrete reason to believe that they don’t also consider you a friend, you shouldn’t let yourself be controlled by the fear that maybe they secretly don’t like you
If you liked this episode, definitely listen to his appearance on the Honeydew. Based on these two podcasts alone Joey Roses will be one of you favorite comics.
Dude I beg to differ lol.. theres an episode of MSSP with Ari and Francis on and Joe decides to crash the podcast all drunk was immediately what made me a huge Joe DeRosa fan. Great episode
Joes diagnosis was spot on. I love how analytical joe is, i first discovered him with taste buds and i just want to see everything he is involved in. Good guy.
DeRosa's FOMO of quitting the night early hits home. I've had so many nights where I pack everything up and as soon as I'm about to leave, the night just takes off into something crazy. If only the crazy-night-to-remember stuff happened earlier in the night...
I have a friend who eats only pizza, frozen foods, just processed foods also he sleeps about 10-14 hours a day. Right now he seems to be healthy but obviously we are concerned for his future and arteries collecting cholesterol. Thanks doc
I saw his 'I Never Promised You a Rose Garden' show in NYC. It was so awesome. Great writing. Beautifully dark and hilarious. Highly recommend catching that.
Joe is the best, along with Drew. I love seeing him on here and the discussion about anxiety really helped me because I can relate. Thank you guys for this episode it was like therapy in a way. Love you guys and the folks behind the scenes too. YMH and Taste Buds collab! 😊
57:09 to like 57:17... My anxious brain would totally be like OMG did I say something wrong😂😂 Dr. Drews's face was telling! Really love how Joe is so open about everything.
Dan soder has to be on. He’s gotta rocky childhood that us campers know and love. He’d be great on here. Love Joe Derosa. His shoulders are looking full today.
@@Monkeymoo1122 you should check out his show with his friend big Jay. It the bonfire on Sirius xm. Been listening for years and it’s hilarious if you aren’t familiar. Also people upload stuff on UA-cam from the show
Ugh I’m literally going through was Dr drew is talking about with feeling feelings and identifying them. I spent most of my life making sure I didn’t feel anything, and now I’m a well of them. Now I’m learning to use the eb as a guide. LOL. Thanks for sharing to you both!
DeRosa? You mean the only host of the hit podcast Tastebuds? The proprietor of Joey Roses sandwich shop? The lead singer of former hip hop group Deep and one half of the duo Salsa Windfall? Love that guy.

Speaking of evolutionary vestiges; I recently was thinking about the leg shaking habit that some people have, and I truly believe it was a survival function of random fast twitch fibre firing that gave a small survival advantage over those that didn't have this habit. The advantage is that this twitching is always priming your body to be on the 'run' even if you are sitting. Just a hypothesis, but I thought it was interesting.
Joe, please stop drinking. It will change your life for the better - mentally and physically! We need to deal with the feelings that bubble up in healthy ways and just let them come. We cannot just try to drown them out with drinking. Whomever does not accept you for being who you are, does not deserve you. Everyone must take you as you are or not at all. The best of luck to you ❤❤❤
I love joe he is so underrated . Hopefully he keeps getting on podcasts and keeps getting more popular
He should be much bigger then he is
one of many of my favorite comedians that is hilarious and for some reason it isnt recognized by a majority of people
Uninformed w him and Bill Burr was great
I've found him kind of annoying in group podcasts but i actually really liked him here.
I thought he was jarrod from subway at first
Joe is so genuine, humble, and relatable. I love this dude

This is great to see this side of Joe DeRosa.
Honestly 100%. Was never a big fan of his but this has definitely changed my perspective on him for the better!
@@alistairwalker1109 I started off that way also but I appreciate his comedy more and more I watch his podcasts.
Him and Bobby Lee have a great episode
God I love joe. Such a good dude
joe was the vet in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul! He does not get enough credit for that.
Woah, that was way before I knew him as a comic
🤯
I was late to Better Call Saul but, when I finally watched it, it felt so good to see him!! He was great!
He wasn't on BB, only BCS
@@wayninginterestpodcast that's true, my bad. I think the small book with the phone numbers was in BB, but not Dr. Caldera himself.

“No matter what happens I love you” makes a lot more sense from taste buds now 10:15
i really needed that section about anxiety right now so thank you :)
I love Joe!!! ❤️ what a wonderful episode.
Joe looks like he's dressed to go ride with his Silicon Valley biker gang
Like a character on the new Saints Row video game.
Lmao
He's joined Hans Kim's scooter gang
Yeah they’re called the Hoagie Riders
@@pppp5425 or the Rose Pedals 😂
Please go on taste buds Dr.Drew, and witness some chaos and ridiculous arguments!! It’s always fun times!

39/F, started having panic attacks at 18. Relate to this episode HUGE. ❤
"I am Bert Kreicher without the support of a family" 🤣🤣💀
love every time drew has to explain some of the show jokes, also joe was great
Joe derosa is one of the funniest comics in the game. I’m going to make a pilgrimage to NYC this summer just for lunch at the bar! ❤😂
I have a friend who eats only pizza, frozen foods, just processed foods also he sleeps about 10-14 hours a day. Right now he seems to be healthy but obviously we are concerned for his future and arteries collecting cholesterol. Thanks doc
Joey answering the phone question had me cracking upp!😂😂

Lol shoulders bahahaha
Dr. O'neal already did that.
What shoulder disease?

Joe is the best! I started watching tastebuds bc i knew Sal, but Joe's attitude and honesty is so refreshing. I'd love to see him on more podcasts!
Time to get Dr Drew on Taste Buds
Truly I recommend all of Joes old stand up albums. He has some of the best thought out bits wrapped into pure comedy and silliness

Love Joey Roses on everything he does!

Tuned out of the show for a while, but have been loving the recent string of East coast guests
DeRosa is the best - one of my fav guests to date
Joey Rosa is growing on me lately, top 10 forsure!
DeRosa’s face when he asked why do they call you Dr. Hitler was priceless. 🤌🏾🤌🏾
Derosa has really grown on me over the years. 3 more weeks, 3 more weeks!
Joe DeRosa, I always say, so much contempt but a good heart. Good guy.
This was one of the best After Dark episodes yet! Joe was awesome and I totally related to him in so many ways.
Derosa needed this conversation with drew. loved this
Joey Sandwiches is great, nice to see him on here with the doc🙏

"Defeats alcoholism, opens sandwich place" tale as old as time
This is gonna be fantastic!
Joe is seriously my favorite comedian that’s built like a worm.
"Why did he call you Dr. Hitler?" LMAO. Peoples justified bewilderment to that greeting still cracks me up.
I was introduced to Joe on Gutfeld and I absolutely love Him ❤️
Great guest! Love Joe
I glanced at the thumbnail and wondered how the hell Dr. Drew had Jared Fogle on as a guest
Btw I typed Dr in my phone and apple predictive text suggested Drew! So congrats on being the worlds Dr

His story with medications and anxiety is almost exactly my experience as well. Many of my friends too. You very rarely find one that works right away
Joe is one of the funniest on the spot, just being him, no shoulders having comedian in the world.
We need Joe to answer more voicemails!!!! Joe was great on the last Kill Tony but I'm never shopping in an irony mall.
I love Joe. This should be fun!
Love Joe! Can't wait to see him on YMH!

Wow DeRosa open up so much 👍🏻
Dr Drew tried to console Derosa but his hand just slid right off his shoulder.
Big love to Joey Roses!
