as a trans guy, i think it’s wonderful how dom sings this with such passion. i think dom is the reason i’ve begun to realize that i’m not alone and i will eventually find a place where i belong and won’t be judged for being myself. i’ve been distancing myself from all of my favorite people and artists because i have a strong tendency to drown myself in pure agony during periods of time like this, but i’m pretty sure this video has just revived my obsession with him simply because it makes me feel safe.

@@theirishpotato6588 Not necessary true, you can use a lot of autotune to give a specific tone to the vocal.. Look at this music ua-cam.com/video/VhkwHT54lls/v-deo.html and compare the vocals at 0:00 and 1:21. At 1:21 there's way more autotune, but not because he can't sing, because he was searching for a particular tone to use.
And if the autotune is not done well, that's not really correlated with the singer's hability to sing, if you don't know what you are doing with the autotune you can make the vocals worse and more out of tune than without autotune
There is autotune on this but it's amazing nonetheless. 😍

These are things I have had said to me and I honestly felt like nobody really understood how I was feeling. Before I came out as Non-binary to my school, I was already the unpopular book geek with good grades and that caused people to mock me and after I came out, people have called me a disappointment and laughed at me for changing my name. I wanted to scream and cry and just feel like somebody understood. When this song was released, I listened to it and I felt like someone understood how i felt and I cried so much. I finally felt like I had a safe place to go while in school. I just had to put in my earphones and listen to Yungbluds music and it made me feel calm and not stressed and self-conscious. All I can say is Thank You Yungblud, you've changed my fucking life

I'm also an enby and a lot of the same shit has happened to me. My name here says Tina, but I prefer Wentz and I have also been laughed at for not only changing my name, but naming myself after someone who's music has helped me in my queer struggles. I took my Grandma to crusie back roads with me and blared this song she balled her eyes out and told me if i ever felt like i didn't belong or that i couldn't be myself that i would always have her. i love her
As a nonbinary person my daily life is very hard just being myself and sometimes i just want to give up and I use music as a coping mechanism and songs like this give me hope. As a trans man ,who gets dead-named by my entire fucking family, I really fucking love this -community- family. I really want to thank Dom and the BHC for always being here for me when I need it the most. I have a wonderful girlfriend and an amazing group of friends - who always support me - but sometimes I just need that extra support. I saw the original video of this not long ago, and just came across this live performance of it, and for some reason this time I really struggled to not cry. Coming out as trans was one of the hardest things I did, and I ended up homeless for it. I spent a lot of time feeling alone or insecure, or just hating myself. I still do even though my life has gotten better and I am starting to make trans friends. This song just hits somewhere deep for the losses I've had, and for the people who treated me like crap just because I wanted to be happy in a way they didn't like. An ex-friend even said to me my coming out made her suicidal. It's just really been an uphill battle, and people like Dom are so wonderful because songs like this are genuine and important. When it feels like the world just hates us, at least we have our art and our music to make us feel a bit more sane. I love you Dom.
