One thing I really like about this version is that the angel Gabriel actually shows some emotion him (it) self. The bible speaks of angels singing praises and rejoicing neither of which is possible without emotion.
I don't understand why these shows improvise on the Bible, Mary was confused, but never afraid and never doubted the angel, she needed no convenving. In opposition to the father of the Baptist who stop speaking still he knew of his old age wife conception.
If you think that a 13-14-year old wouldn't be afraid in these circumstances, you're deluding yourself.
Can't get enough of Tat Mas. I have never known such an Incedible talented Actress such as her. I really look up to her. She blow's me away every time. Luv her dearly.
This was a fantastic depiction. I actually cried at the birth scene. Goes to show what good actors can do for a story

I'm not remotely religious, i don't believe in God. But i really enjoyed watching The Nativity, it was told in a modern way and the actors were fantastic! Especially the girl playing Mary! Well done BEEB!

But yeah I like that they went for a more natural approach as apposed to a really cheesy attempt at an angel's glory!
