My thoughts exactly I was going to have to pay the state out of my tax refund but I'd still have enough left over to do what I need to. This is just an excusable it didn't like they didn't know tax day was coming.... But there's not a damn thing we can do about it.
You know, the public is required to pay their taxes by a certain date or we go to jail. And we pay the govt. I'm still waiting and I'm North Carolina. The IRS sent me a 5071c form in the mail stated that I needed to verify my identity. Okay, I called in and they asked me questions pertaining to past and present tax returns, w2 forms ,etc... They stated it would it would take up to 9 weeks. 9 weeks came and gone still no tax refund. I called the tax advocate line and they looked into the system , it stated that I needed to go in to a tax office to verify my identity because it didn't work over the phone. All the tax office are booked with appt. Where I stay. They wanted to go out of town. I told them no , I dont have a car. Now, 9 weeks done passed. I called the fraud line back , they stated that I would have to mail in all my information to them and it will take 16 weeks. Listen, I was soooooo bad. If I had never called the tax advocate I would have never found out I had to resend my information in after waiting 9 weeks.
We filed electronically on the 5th of March. For weeks it stayed saying processing. We finally get a hold of irs they informed us about a 10 week deadline and if it doesn't come by then to call back. We call back on the 13th week and the lady put us on hold because she couldn't understand why our taxes are still in processing stage. She comes back to tell us they tried to pull out taxes a few weeks ago but the department didnt send it and that they will try again. Like huh!! Ok yall behind i get it and the error was on H&R Block because they took both 2ws and combine them together which they never did before. After straighten that out we still stuck at waiting for the processing part to finally push threw. In all this is crazy as heck and thank god during this whole covid mess we didn't or don't rely on the government but damn umm that's my money.

I had my taxes done april 24th and still havent gotten my refund. Plus, I have advised the IRS I was divorced in 2019 and sent in the form to separate my stimulus payment from my ex husband. I havent received none of my payments or my the children that I am raising. I filed my own taxes for 2020 though. Now I'm afraid they may send the CTC payments to my ex husband if they do not show I claimed the children myself. I'm praying i get my refund very soon. I have a household of 4 to take care of.

My first tax preparer claims she sent it in January 2021 but when I called the IRS, IRS claims they never received taxes so I went to another tax preparer so mailed again in May. If you contact the IRS about your refund, its too obvious that, like everything else about the Gov, the IRS has NO IDEA where your tax refund is, has no way to look it up, and the tools are merely a useless distraction to this issue. Add to this, they've had several "emergency" directives to spend weeks correcting various IRS errors to unemployment refunds and other correction type issues, pushing the backlogs further and further into the indefinite future. IRS tools and advocate phone calls are useless. And, the news hype about stimulus per child is all bullshit as well, since until/unless they get to your refund, you're not eligible for stimulus. :-(

You should, and it should come no later than a week after your refund. But I was told by a irs rep. That it would all be on there at one time. But another rep told me that it would come the following week, but you might have to call them. (Irs and let them know you haven't got it yet
I filed THREE months ago!! THREE! The federal government needs to get it together. I got my state taxes back a month ago and they never pay me before federal...so annoying. Some of us took huge pay cuts during the pandemic and are depending on that money.

I'm still waiting and I'm North Carolina. The IRS sent me a 5071c form in the mail stated that I needed to verify my identity. Okay, I called in and they asked me questions pertaining to past and present tax returns, w2 forms ,etc... They stated it would it would take up to 9 weeks. 9 weeks came and gone still no tax refund. I called the tax advocate line and they looked into the system , it stated that I needed to go in to a tax office to verify my identity because it didn't work over the phone. All the tax office are booked with appt. Where I stay. They wanted to go out of town. I told them no , I dont have a car. Now, 9 weeks done passed. I called the fraud line back , they stated that I would have to mail in all my information to them and it will take 16 weeks. Listen, I was soooooo bad. If I had never called the tax advocate I would have never found out I had to resend my information in after waiting 9 weeks.

We filed electronically on the 5th of March. For weeks it stayed saying processing. We finally get a hold of irs they informed us about a 10 week deadline and if it doesn't come by then to call back. We call back on the 13th week and the lady put us on hold because she couldn't understand why our taxes are still in processing stage. She comes back to tell us they tried to pull out taxes a few weeks ago but the department didnt send it and that they will try again. Like huh!! Ok yall behind i get it and the error was on H&R Block because they took both 2ws and combine them together which they never did before. After straighten that out we still stuck at waiting for the processing part to finally push threw. In all this is crazy as heck and thank god during this whole covid mess we didn't or don't rely on the government but damn umm that's my money.

I had my taxes done april 24th and still havent gotten my refund. Plus, I have advised the IRS I was divorced in 2019 and sent in the form to separate my stimulus payment from my ex husband. I havent received none of my payments or my the children that I am raising. I filed my own taxes for 2020 though. Now I'm afraid they may send the CTC payments to my ex husband if they do not show I claimed the children myself. I'm praying i get my refund very soon. I have a household of 4 to take care of.

I am waiting on 2019 and 2020 tax returns plus the 2nd and 3rd Stimulus I have not received and I reside in Georgia. My first tax preparer claims she sent it in January 2021 but when I called the IRS, IRS claims they never received taxes so I went to another tax preparer so mailed again in May. So now I am waiting even longer. The kicker is the IRS gave me a pin number and they rejected the pin number IRS gave to me!!! This is bullshit and inexcusable.. Right now there is No information about my tax returns because it has not been process.. Need to do better. Hell people need jobs offer more positions this is not helping!!!

If you contact the IRS about your refund, its too obvious that, like everything else about the Gov, the IRS has NO IDEA where your tax refund is, has no way to look it up, and the tools are merely a useless distraction to this issue. Add to this, they've had several "emergency" directives to spend weeks correcting various IRS errors to unemployment refunds and other correction type issues, pushing the backlogs further and further into the indefinite future. IRS tools and advocate phone calls are useless. And, the news hype about stimulus per child is all bullshit as well, since until/unless they get to your refund, you're not eligible for stimulus. :-(
