Long story short, basically the main character is having nightmares about the three things he loved the most in which he lost: the ball, his stuff bunny and his dog. At the end of every dream he was able to retrieve those things back except for his dog which was the hardest for him. However, at the end of the game we see him as an adult with his head melting. This symbolized the usage of drugs. He was using drugs to take him back to the places that made him “happy.” And because of this, he never got out of the cycle of his past traumas. He never grew up mentally. This is where we see him as a child again banging on the glass. He draws a smile because that smile represents that he wears a mask all the time and he had never overcame his past traumas. It’s a very sad story.
