Major effect of any mantra can only be felt after total eradication of ones past bad karma. This can better be illustrated by following example:
Well known swami Madhavacharya underwent rigorous Sadhna involving chanting of 2.4 million Gayatri Mantra annually. This would work out chanting 66 malas (rosary of 108 beads daily) which would take roughly 6-7 hours of time daily. He continued his sadhna for a period over 12 years without noticing any effect. He was very sad and disappointed. In his frustration he gave up following his Gayatri sadhna and instead began sadhna of Bhairav ( sort of a tantric powred divine personality) who appeared behind him in only after few days and offered boon to Madhavacharya. When swami asked Bhairav to appear before him, Bhairav said that it was not possible for him to appear in front of a Gayatri Sadhak. Hearing this the Swami replied that he does not want anything from entity that is not even capable of standing in front of him. Instead he asked Bhairav to explain the reason of failiur of his 12 years of Gayatri Sadhna. Bhairav replied that Swamis’ sadhanas have not failed but have helped in eradicating 12 major bad karma of killing 12 brahmins in his previous births. He advised Swami to resume his Gayatri sadhna for visible effects which he did and swami who was an ordinary weak person later became a recognised authority on Ayurved and wrote book on Ayurved named “Madhav Nidan”.
I hope you will have grasped the essence of the above real story. I would say that chanting of Gayatri Mantra never fails the person. I have chanted this mantra since past 50 years in disciplined regime and can recommend it to you to see the result for yourself. Amount of inner purity will have effect on results.

@@bishuprusty2153 Brother ....radio sai changed my lyf ....i belong to family of sai devotees from my maternal side...vibhuti , honey manifestations continues in my mother home village in punjab...she had witnessed all these but not me...but being a software engineer n going through very rough times...i discarded baba as bhgwan even scolded my mother.....but this channel changed my life in a positive way....but still some people keep on calling bhgwan as mere jadugar...but dont know how they will justify manifestations at devotees house at distant places....thanks brother thanku so much for connecting us to bhgwan...words fall short🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Sairam i had some difficulty in the depaartment where i was working. i was chanting Gayathri 108 times.very sincerely for some relief. As son as i finished at 10.30 pm . i got a phone call. i was surprised when the caller was one of my high ranking officers . i was little perturbed being late night . but He told me thta i was transfered to another department.. and that he said that he was calling at that hour since he wanted to inform me since i will be too glad to know it . This is one of the benefits of Chanting Gayathri. I was working in the new department till 2014 without difficulty
Sairam. After watching this series of videos on Gayathri mantra, I got inspired to chant the same for 108 times.
I chanted the Hanuman gayathri for 108 times.
Immediately After that I got the energy & patience , to clean a very cluttered part of my house.
I was surprised .
I had spent 2 hours on this cleaning but did not feel exhausted.
In fact, felt refreshed and peace at heart.
And the energy was still flowing in me to do more.

Swami has largely spoken about the Gayatri Mantra which is vedic and ancient in its origin. It is the Mother of all mantras. All the other gayatris are derived from this main mantra. This is addressed to the Universal Intelligence. All the other Gayatris refer to a particular aspect of the Divine. Ultimately, it is our faith and sincerity which matters the most. Sai Gayatri too can be chanted. It is the same Divine Principle.
