I pretty much exclusively wear these pants because they have 4 features that are crucial to me: 1) they are comfortable 2) they are appropriate in almost any situation I find myself in (hiking, dinner, around town, etc.) 3) they have elastic bottoms 4) they have multiple zippered pockets. The fact they can be waxed is a great bonus. They’re durable enough to wear daily for years without showing signs of wear, and when they do, Fjallraven does most repairs for free or a small fee. Honestly can’t think of anything I would change about them except a second back pocket.
I own Vardag and Vidda Pro Ventilated and like both a lot. If Fjällräven would put the pockets off the Vardag on the Vidda Pro that would be the ultimate trousers.
Absolutely love the look of these trousers but I need a 36” leg at least! Can’t get away with the high ankle look. Flashbacks to school “Has your budgie died mate….well why you flying your trousers half mast?” 😭
Thought I had a long inside leg at 35"! It may be worth looking at the Barents Pro from Fjallraven which is supplied in an uncut length. You can then choose the length of the leg and cut/sew to size. Harry
Based on this review I bought the Fjallraven Vardag but I directly send them back! They were not strechy at all, more a stiff trouser like a tight jeans. Moving around felt I was in a harness. So not my choice this trousers
Theoretically the thickness should be the same as they're both G-1000 (albeit one standard and one stretch), but they do feel a little thinner. Not by much though.
I find these much more restrictive fitting than the Keb trousers, especially the Keb Agile. Mine are not the tightest size so I have some stretch otherwise I'd be forced to walk slowly everywhere.

Content wise great video but visually, if you're doing a product review show more of the product in different angles and up close, not a wide shot where I can't see much.
Yup, plenty. Two good options here... Rab Kinetic Pant - Feels like a softshell but fully waterproof. Stretchy, comfy and soft. Good for changeable conditions but not really designed for constant heavy downpours: www.trekitt.co.uk/clothing/trousers-shorts/rab-mens-kinetic-20-pant-beluga__41883 Montane Pac Plus Pant - More of a traditional waterproof trouser with a Gore-Tex membrane. Only weigh 325g and pack down to the size of an apple: www.trekitt.co.uk/clothing/trousers-shorts/montane-mens-pac-plus-xt-pant-black__43605
I'm afraid I don't know and Fjallraven haven't currently got this info available. It may be worth dropping them an email: www.fjallraven.com/uk/en-gb/customer-service/contact-us

Are they thinner than the Vidda pro ventilated?
Obviously they're lighter with less pockets etc but they look thinner on the screen?

How warm are these (with and without wax)? Looking for a warmer all-round pair of trousers for winter
They're not insulated, so won't provide much warmth besides keeping the wind off you.

Great review! what color are you wearing here?

Do you find the fjallraven trousers ok. I’m a 34 waste but I can’t fit in there sizes for some reason
Look at trousers in EU50, this is the equivalent to a UK 34" waist www.fjallraven.com/uk/en-gb/customer-service/size-chart

Do you stock any lightweight waterproof trousers for men? Preferably not the bin bag type ones. Many thanks!

Do you know if they are tick and/or cleg (horsefly) proof ?

They're the same as all garments made from G1000 material - no bugs will bite you through it. Tried and tested for over 10 years.
What is your height and weight ? Thank you

Just wondering, are you a part of Naturkompaniet or did you just steal the logo?
We're part of the same family.
Love my vidda pros although they are overpriced but I don't rate these at all. Not worth the money for what they are.
Different kettle of fish. Vidda's are workhorses; these are far more casual. Pricey but nicey as they say.
@@trekitt fair point but my other softshells are fine for that job and I hate elasticated bottoms. Great reviews though. 👍
