During my time with the C5 Corvette, I've tested out the various headlight options available for it at different price points. Halogen, HID, LED, you name it. But THESE are on another level, as they are the most powerful headlight option available that keeps the factory pop up look. There's no comparison between these and stuffing an HID or LED bulb into the factory housing. While those have great light output and look pretty cool, they just scatter the light as the housing was not designed for those bulbs. As I've learned today, there's a HUGE difference between lots of light, and lots of quality light strategically spread in the correct places you need to see in the dark.

I was laying down getting ready to go to bed I started thinking about my c4 and how the headlights flip up by the switch and i started to smile and continued too smile for 5 minutes I swear I've never felt so much joy 😂

Good choice, I had the ACA HID headlights and upgraded those to bi xenon using the existing ACA housings.

Amber drl's are where it's at. I remember seeing the c5 rolling for the 1st time and the amber drl's gave it a really gnarly presence imo. Definitely getting these style headlamps though. They are a necessary and perfect upgrade and give it a very fitting and current apperance without looking custom or ricey. I have the same color as yours and going to perform most of the mods you've done so far. They are just tasteful and keep the car mostly authentic. Great job 👏

I put a set of these headlights in my C5 a few years ago. They are the best investment I've made for that car. Like you, I tried every thing else and there is no comparison. These are simply the best headlights you can put in a C5.

Looks nice. I went a different route for my headlight upgrade, but it's the end result that matters. Trying to get any good beam pattern from the stock housing is worthless. Rotating the motor by hand is the easiest way that I found to get that arm back in the slot. Also, taking out the painted headlight cover screws located in the back is easier with the headlight is down. I hope you won't be kicking yourself a little later for not changing out the headlight motor gears while you had that all apart (if they haven't been done already) Keep up the good work!
I just went with the Ebay version of the C5 projector lamp housings with the Halo ring - which cosmetically look identical for $200 - and then the HID bulbs with 55watt ballasts from HIDextra.com @ approx. $70.
Totally happy with the setup, looks awesome and is plenty bright for nighttime driving.

I just installed a set of these in my C5. They are amazing! They also come with the bulbs installed now. You also don't have the ballast either anymore!

Glad you took other drivers into consideration, many don't and don't realize how dangerous they make it for them and the other driver. Bad headlight mods can cause head on collisions.

I gotta say, you’re a natural at this. I don’t know what you do for a living, but if I were you, I’d look for some sponsors to do this. And give reviews on Corvette products, shoot, maybe Chevy will catch on and make you the face of their online advertising campaign. If they were smart, dude, they would.

Got these a couple months ago, huge improvement! Even if they put out the same amount of light as the stock ones, they simply look badass and I still would have got them! lol
I installed my ACA when it’s first came out $1200.00, in 2006? I used Philip HID bulb and ballast and still going on strong at present time. Philips HID on low beam and fog lights.
LED license plate lights are a must because the lighting upgrades you have done make the factory bulbs look really yellow.
easy retrofit and getting a quad high with it nice ide change them projectors out for some morimoto mini D2S and rock oem ballasts
Good video I brought the lights hooked them up they all work but when one headlight goes up the other one goes down any suggestions?
I am running through your C5 videos and what a joy, my ONLY complain is I just wanted the car to be a C6. Could you be so kind and next buy a C6 Z06 and give it the same overhaul as this nice and functional working and looking C5. About the HID bulbs and led yes you are spot on you want the correct reflectors behind the bulb. About the ballast, the manufacturers want them to be mounted in front of the radiator if possible to keep them cool. Big thanks .

The ACAs are def the nicest pop-ups but with the halo tail lights... should have went with the RadioFlyer C5R non pop ups with Morimoto projectors... def the nicest headlight gor the C5 hands down...

not that you are going to acknowledge when I called you out for putting HID's on stock headlights, and told you to do this, but now you are doing it right.

What’s the best way to adjust the beam level to get them even? I recently got a c5Z that had these headlight already installed and they’re not level at all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I know that these work well but I think low rise projector setups like Sun Guns, 4eyeC5, etc. look significantly better, and of course create much less drag, while not being a fixed setup that doesn't belong on the C5.

Just had projectors installed today the bulbs burnt the lens and housing under a minute. Can you tell me why. And it was from professionals well body professionals

phenomenal video. As far as the video itself, maybe don't make the volume difference between elapsed time music and your speaking so great. You would be explaining things and then all of a sudden the elapsed video would begin and the music during that time was extremely loud lol. I have a huge sound system so it was a big difference. Great video otherwise. I am excited to put these on my Z06

What are you going to do with the old led 👀👀?!?!?
I like the look of the product, and the more powerful beam that it put out. But having to use double sided tape to secure the ballast in place doesn't inspire confidence. I would prefer hardware that mounts more solidly with screws/bolts of some kind. As time wears on, and heat takes its toll, the adhesive that holds this securely will break away.
Your lower foglights are clear with no yellow led? Who makes these fog leds?
Projector housings make a major difference. You could probably put LED bulbs in those housings and get a similar quality of beam.
Installed these headlights along with the halo lights. Now I don't have dashboard lights, no turn signals in my halos. Also my headlights don't want to go down now

I like the look and how much light it throws out but not for me being I rarely drive my C5 at night time. My ‘99 Coupe with an original 37k miles on it is more of a Collector Car today so this is not a important mod that I feel I need to do.

Just installed mine, and the drivers side low beam won’t come on :(. Wiring is all correct i checked it a bunch of times. Think the lights may be faulty. Anyone else have that issue or have any recommendations?

GTR lighting is expensive but worth every single penny.I put them in my 2000 SS Camaro and when people pass me they cut their brights on before they even get past me.They light up night like day.$240 for the low beam led bulbs but worth every penny.

Cheaper and easier just to put LED's in the stock housing. Auxbeam is what I went with ~30 bucks.
same i put low beam led's and they are great. I dont see how i functionally need any more. And if i really need those high beams I can still use the oem ones fine.

They look Great, I question how long that 3m sticky will last. I only drive my c5 in the dark when I take it to work. Not often enough to justify a $600 upgrade with no performance gain. Just my opinion.

No that is how they are supposed to be. The driver's side low beams are always cut off lower so it doesn't blind oncoming traffic. This is how all factory headlights are designed and good quality after market should be as well.
CMJ115 each projector has a cutoff that’s not a flat line, it’s lower for not blinding oncoming drivers on the left and then transitions to higher to able to reflect signs to the right of the road. That upper line is what I’m talking about should line up. If you look at any new car from the factory or dealer, you’ll see this is the case.
You seem to be mechanically inclined which is fortunate for you. Not everyone has that ability. Nice job. 👍🏼🍻
