- First day on the Nürburgring with my new Porsche Cayman 718 GT4 MR and Manthey Racing has done a perfect job setting up the car! As soon as the MR package is ready for the Cayman GT4 RS it will for sure get the same treatment! The 718 GT4 really is a joy to drive with the MR package. The car is on regular Michelin cup2
Great driving! Smooth, fast, great timing and rhythm. You will get really quick in this one 🙂
I saw your car like 3 weeks ago or something at the Spa Francorchamps museum, can that be right that you where there? Btw you car was so cool in real life
Yes I was at Spa 🙂👍
Hello!
Great lap 💪🏼
Which tyres?
Do you have a reference lap without MR package?
Its on regular Michelin cup2, I dont have a referens lap unfortunately.
This was my first time with the car on track, it was sent directly from Porsche Malmö/Sweden after delivery in november to Manthey-Racing so its only 1600km now.
It feels fantastic and really easy to drive, looking forward to the next Nürburgring trackday. There is a lot more time to cut.
@@niclasphilip I was there on the same day with my R56 Mini on Italian plates.
I own a 718 Spyder which feels already great on the Ring in stock form (except MR alignment), so I am wondering if fitting the KW suspensions or not 🤔
@@matoncars6713 I thought I recogniest you car 😀 you had a quite load exhaust on that Mini right?
There are some updates on valves and springs on the MR dampers compared to the KW but its very similar since its the same manufacture. The biggest differens if you change the stock dampers is that the car gives you more confidence and its smooth over the parts on the track where the stock dampers bounces more. I had KW competion on my 718 GT 4.0 and it was very good 👍
Yeah I meant the KW by MR : )
The Mini has a nice deep exhaust note ua-cam.com/video/YIjQlYCU-7Q/v-deo.html
@@matoncars6713 I was just looking at your lap when you wrote 🙂
nice driving and it really look great to 👍seems to be good car for the track!
he could definitely push it harder but probably chose not to?
This is my first trackday of the season and it was only 3° so even if it was dry I didnt go 100%
