@@bayouflier6641Sarmat's effectiveness is not in question; it's merely that you haven't experienced its capabilities-something we should all hope remains the case. After the USSR's dissolution, Russia's aviation sector saw a decline but has since been making significant strides in a complex and sophisticated field. Since 2011, the Sukhoi Superjet 100 has been successfully operating in the commercial sector, , exemplifying the resurgence of Russian aviation. I encourage you to educate yourself on Russia's aviation history and its current advancements, including the Ilyushin and Antonov aircraft, known for producing some of the world's largest and respected cargo planes, alongside other notable entities like Beriev, Aviakor, Irkutsk Aviation, Sukhoi, Tupolev, Kuznetsov Design, Yakovlev, UAC, and more. Your lack of knowledge and predisposition to negativity reflect poorly on you, not on the reality of Russia's aerospace achievements. The country continues to build on its legacy as a pioneer in space exploration and aviation, holding numerous records and innovations. Russian rocket engines, known for their unparalleled power, are used globally, including in Western spacecraft. Moreover, Russia's leadership in hypersonic missile technology is undisputed, with capabilities the West has yet to match. Disparaging the Russian aerospace and aviation industries without acknowledging these facts only highlights ignorance. Instead of harboring resentment, perhaps take a moment to appreciate the advancements and learn something new. And maybe, for now, steer clear of certain other western aerospace products (Boeing MAX for example) to ensure you're around to see how global aerospace dynamics continue to evolve while witnessing the western demise as it unfolds infront of us as we speak.
Russian aircraft? Give me a break! I don't trust Russian and Chinese aircrafts! You'll never destroy my trust of Boeing and Airbus. They have been tested and proven reliable.
A plane launched in 2007, that still has not one buyer, not even Aeroflot (to my knowledge) is suppoed to be the most revolutionary of all? Even Putin is laughing at this documentary.
Aeroflot group - 50 planes, Ilyushin finance - 50, GTLK/VEB Leasing - 30, SberLeasing - 20, Utair - 10, Irareo - 10. The delivery of the first 6 aircrafts for Aeroflot group (Rossiya Airlines) is planned on the end of 2024 depending on certification of MC-21-310 RUS modification.
The MC-21 and China's C-919 are two up and coming commercial aircrafts with scientific innovation new materials and designs. Good looking and well designed with excellent and promising future.
especially since the comac is so heavily relied on western parts, especially its avionics by rockwell collins. All of which Russia does not have access to.
I don't know how many of them were produced, but I recently saw this plane at the airport when I went on vacation. It's a pity I flew on the A320 and not on the MC21
There are a few problems. The PD-14 is not ready yet for commercial use. In comparison to the PW engines it is less efficient. The active stick steering system comes from France. The composite material comes from the USA. The PW engines are from the USA. All that is under sanction by now. The MC-21 cannot compete with the A320 and the C919. Therefore, it will not be a product that can be sold outside of Russia. This makes it virtually dead.
NO ONE doubt Russian capablities in aerospace. the problem with Russia has always something to do with market (market population, marketing, etc.) I am NOT sure if C919 is better than MC-21 technically at the beginning, but I am quite sure that C919 will have much higher chance to be successful commercially
Reality: The MC-21 is currently 13 years behind the original schedule for series production. Producer Rostec recently announced that no more civil aircraft (Mc 21, SSJ-100, Tu-214 etc) will be delivered before 2026. So far, it has always turned out that Russian aircraft are unreliable and far too expensive to maintain. Sukhoi SS100 has been in series production since 2010 to 2020 and has a market share of 0.0x% outside of Russia. Russian civil products are not at world market level - in any area! Like a developing country, Russia lives from the sale of its raw materials. 90% of export money comes from raw material, steal, aluminum etc.
As pessoas insistem em grandes números de passageiros, se fosse assim era só cada companhia aerea comprar um 747 e resolveriam todos os problemas, nao adianta o avião ter 200, 300 , 500 lugares se nao lota nem 50% da aeronave.
Good to see a brand new aircraft, I cannot even remember last time that occurred here in the west. I wish it success and a bright future, lord knows we need some new input and innovation.
Given that many airlines are subject to Government whims, I can't see many European airlines giving the thing house-room. On a similar basis, I can't see many European passengers wanting to fly on it, either.
All Soviet/Russian aircrafts always were obsolete copies of western models and technologies. This "innovative" plane is the first attempt to use the compound instead of aluminum for the body and wings, like Boeing 787. But, surprisingly, Russia cannot buy this material abroad anymore. The technology needs to stolen and factory needs to be built. All of that will happen, undoubtedly. The quality and endurance of the future output of non-existing factory is a huge question. Question number two is the absence of good engine. There is nothing even remotely comparable with get engines produced for Boeing and Airbus. Thus, MS-21 project most likely will be the failure and catastrophe just like the previous SuperJet 100.
Soviet and Russian aircrafts can not be a copy, just because nobody gave a documentation or a piece for disassembling. What technology in aviation was stolen by Russia? And why USA has researched soviet MIG planes? Russia already has created engine PD-14, and is working on other engines. SSJ is not a catastrophe. This was the good jet, the only mistake was the supply of parts. Now it is reworked and almost 100% domestic SSJ New.
Great Europeans, developing great aircraft. The A321XLR is the greatest plane of the decade. Let’s invite Ukrainians and (once the invasion is over) Russians to join.
Look at how the technicians work in assembly; this is technology from 40 years ago. Airbus and Boeing with robotics and a production rate of over 730 planes a year, that's about 2 planes a day. The Russians told us 20 planes a year )))) if that is realistic. MS-21 is nothing new, western technology, western materials and machining, tooling etc. Even the CAD design is not Russian but Western. Russian engines are very bad economically, no one can say how Russians can provide after sales service, they have no experience, no money for after sales service, no idea. Look at this manager, he can't speak any language except Russian))) no education, no culture.
This aircraft made it's first flight in 2017, thats 7 years ago now. In comparason the a220/C Series made it's first flight in 2013 and entered into service in 2016. With the sanctions against Russia this plane wont enter service in the next 10 years either, if ever. This video is just propaganda and there is no point writing this comment because it will most likley be removed.
The only problem is it doesn't exist, it's been 7 years since the first flight, at this rate it will be obsolete by the time it's released, if it ever happens

@@Ljet600 I'm not just know the abbreviations. I even know what do they mean. No Russian planes have or will have EASA or FAA in next decade or even more. And so what?
@@KVentz , The problem is that Russian aircraft have no chance on the international market because they do not meet international standards. Russian standards are much lower than Western standards. The MS21 passenger evacuation test is a case in point. This is not what EASA or FAA requires, it is kindergarten. Would you want to fly such an aircraft? I wouldn't.
@@Ljet600 Russian standards are not lower than Western standards. This is a fake. SSJ-100 and Tu-204 already had EASA and FAA certificates till 2022. To many words, not enough data! For this plane to fly, it needs spare parts at every flight destination. Creating that takes years and can bankrupt the manufacturer. Russians are not known for Supply-Chain excellency. To land in the US, there has to be a certification - remember the Concorde?
I doubt if everything is in order and even if spare parts are made available at every potential destination the likes of the US and EU will issue the required certifications for it's operation in the US and EU. Remember what happened with the newly built Nord Stream pipeline? For no real reason except for political reasons the Germans (at the urging of the US) refused to certify that NS pipelineand intentionally delayed and dragged their feet for months. It was later damaged by explosives planted & detonated by 'persons unknown' 😏
I would like to be sure how much of this MC-21 hype video is from the westernized version, and how much is from the Russian one. The cockpit for instance smells like western tech for a mile.
@@antwainebarkley9765 Jealousy? The question is the usual Russian hype "we're the best" videos full of falsehoods. If Russia has advanced avionics why does the "brand new and very advanced" iteration of the IL96 has a cockpit with avionics similar to the 60's IL62, that even needs 3 in the cockpit? And yes that can be seen clearly on the official IL96 video just a few months old. Can Russia engineers do good things? Yes. But the sad fact is that they're decades behind the western companies in civil aviation.
Designing an aircraft is the simpler part of the story - manufacturing it is the harder one. Especially when the fascist Russian Federation is cut off of Western supplies of chips, jet engines etc. I'm really sorry for the designers of the MC-21.
MS-21-300 (western engines) and MS-21-310 (russian engines) have different production dates. MS-21-300 was supposed to be produced since 2022, but now it won't be. MS-21-310 should be produced since 2024-2025. There is less than a year left before the release of the first MS-21. There are already about 20 airplanes on the production line. The hundredth MS-21 will be released in 2028. The thousandth MS-21 will be released in 2040.

It seems like the only company with the expertise to make a plane the same level of A320 and B737Max is Embraer. Also the only company with the necessary worldwide reputation to compete Airbus and Boeing somehow, imo
Russians can build safe efficient modern airliners, their problem during times of better relations with the west was their support network, they didn’t have the supply chain or the logistics to get replacement part’s delivered in a timely manner. The ssj failed in mexico and Ireland because of this. Like waiting 2 months to get a gasket.
@@stephenfazekas5054 exactly. They had a big chance with the SSJ and didn‘t meet expectations. Without any sanctions. Also production rates are very low, they will need all for the domestic market.

Russian propaganda as always likes to say hop before they jump. Everything they plan to do is "innovative" and without "analogy" in the world😃 as Tavarish Putin says. This aircraft will be innovative when they sell 11289 airplanes as the Airbus A320, and carrying more than 11.5 billion passengers and having accidents with only 1505 fatalities. The same applies to Boeing. If you look at the accident and fatalities records of USSR/Russian-built airplanes you will be surprised by the large number of accidents and fatalities from a relatively small number of aircraft built. Good luck with the "most innovative" aircraft😃. By the way how "innovative" could be something that started in 2007 and is still not ready to fly? For comparison, the Airbus A320 Neo development started almost the same time, in 2006. Until now they have already produced 3163 airplanes and have orders for 10354 aircrafts. The Russian MC-21 has a total of 175 orders, all from Russia and only one from Azerbaijan. The aircraft was denied European certification on March 14, 2022.
I would love for this aircraft to be successful, however I am concerned about the western sanctions being imposed on Russia because of the Ukraine war and how it has impacted on the development and production of this aircraft - Will western airlines be allowed by western governments to purchase this Russian made aircraft because of sanctions and embargoes?
Russia had to develop its own composite materials for this plane since sanctions cut access to Western ones, same with the engines and many other parts. It took time, but serial production is starting up and almost all parts are Russian made now. Western airlines most certainly won`t get this plane - for political reasons and most of all the production is not that big and all built planes will go to domestic airlines for quite a while.
The systems no longer available due to US sanctions can’t be magically built overnight in Russia. The fix would likely be go without. You don’t need WIFI etc.
@@Роман_Гришанов a lot of the components used in these modern air transports are single sourced. Meaning that there is one company controlling the production of the component. What is innovative about this plane?? Designed in 2009 - presented in 2016. Since 2016, 150 orders have been received from Russia and Kazakhstan (10). The plane had 97% imported components - in 2021 it still had 50-60% and it is hoped to get it down to 20% by 2025. 2 have been produced - one that sometimes flies on a route - but in it 90% of the parts from other countries. A third is being built. It is estimated to be able to produce 72 aircraft in 2029. The problem now is that many of these subcontractors in Russia produce war material instead of parts for civilian aircraft. Russia has little national debt, but hundreds of billions of dollars are needed to be able to produce aircraft on a large scale. Russia's 130 million people have a smaller gross domestic product including oil and gas than Italy with its 65 million.
The MC-21 and China's C-919 are two up and coming commercial aircrafts with scientific innovation new materials and designs. Good looking and well designed with excellent and promising future.
The comac c-919 doesn't offer any innovations compared to airbus or Boeing. Its listed price is not competitive too.
especially since the comac is so heavily relied on western parts, especially its avionics by rockwell collins. All of which Russia does not have access to.
Nice clips. how many was produced so far?
It’s a new plane. How many do you need?
I don't know how many of them were produced, but I recently saw this plane at the airport when I went on vacation. It's a pity I flew on the A320 and not on the MC21
One and half
5 MC-21-300 (with PW engines) used for tests, 3 MC-21-310 (with PD-14 engines) used for tests too. More 18 in production.
NO ONE doubt Russian capablities in aerospace. the problem with Russia has always something to do with market (market population, marketing, etc.)
I am NOT sure if C919 is better than MC-21 technically at the beginning, but I am quite sure that C919 will have much higher chance to be successful commercially
Russia has the market of former USSR, Africa, India, Latin America
Great aircraft, thank you for the video!
Always thought the MC21 looks great just like the Airbus 220.
I really hope to see more of this aircraft at Asian airports.

"Military novelties"....those novelties are doing significant damage.
The aircraft looks very promising, and it’s a beautiful design MC-21

The Russians told us 20 planes a year )))) if that is realistic. MS-21 is nothing new, western technology, western materials and machining, tooling etc. Even the CAD design is not Russian but Western.

The question is whether they manage to build housing, pay pensions and keep up a war for 10 years - so where will the money come from??
_"Russia's 130 million people have a smaller gross domestic product including oil and gas than Italy with its 65 million"_
1) Russia's *150* million people
2) Russia's GDP 5.3 billion $ and *4%* growth. Italy's GDP 3.2 billion $ and *0.7%* growth.
3) Russia does not need dollars, Russia uses rubles, the Russian economy works differently.
4) Russia's manufacturing sector grew by *7.5%* in 2023, Russia's service sector index grew by 5%.
@@vladykaSavron Where do you get the data? Russia itself has reported the following to the UN and the World Bank. GDP 2022 $1. 87351 billion - Italy 2.197415 billion. The figures are from December 2022. Russia does not use Rubles - it was just something they wanted in 2022/23. All raw materials Russia exports to all other countries are calculated in dollars. No one can use Rubles because no one knows the exact amount of money. It only has a psychological value like Bitcoin. The increase in GDP is mainly due to production for the State via the State Budget, where 52% now goes to war materiel. I assume we use Russia's own information when we base such important figures and not conspiracy theories.
russian airlines fleets are made of Airbus and Boeing….MC-21 first flight 2017 with P&W engines…
So?
So six years later it’s necessary to change engines, avionics, and try to certify in réality a new airplane…@@timur3505
1 has been assembled
Test flight in the near future
175 have been ordered by Russia and others
Did I miss anything?
Все пропустил, их много собрано и они уже несколько лет летают
Yes, you miss. 8 has been assembled. 18 in production in manufacturing facility. Test flight started long ago.
2024 here...how many have crashed so far.....?!@@KVentz
Ok thx, I also read it up on Wikipedia now, first flight in 2017 and commercial operation should start in 2025
@@raptox24 Yes, they had to redesign the aircraft in 2022 to replace all western components. Initially MC-21 should be with P&W engines, it had wings made from imported carbon and all western equipment.
An old battered hand-held jigsaw 😂
sure it would be the most innovative as it’s already 10 years or more that it’s been in design and development. one plane has been actually built. when I see babushkas designing such an innovative plane one thing is clear that it will fall even oftener than super jet
Сейчас их 6 штук летает и 18 производятся
It already in production. And it is absolute modern and competetive plane, as you can see in video.
SuperJet did not have crashes because of quality.
How much have you been paid to say us this shit?
Oh a Bandera-troll. How's the war going Mr Bandera? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Soooooo…. Let’s talk about this big elephant in the room now……. 😅
From Where ?? Russia ? No thanks !
737 max is definitely your choice
