Juiciest and Tastiest Fried Chicken leg quarters / Simple Fried Chicken recipe and delicious

Ingredients;
5 chicken legs
2400 ml ice cold water
10 cloves garlic
1 onion
1/3 cup salt
Whole black peppercorns
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp ground white pepper
Breading mix;
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp 5 spice
1 tsp ground white pepper

How long to fry the chicken though how many minutes?

15-17 minutes each side. Medium high…covered but with lid slightly ajar for air

If you're like me and really want to make sure it cooked through, you can make 3 or 4 slits in the flesh side of the legs, going across the bone so you don't cut all the way through and that helps make sure the heat gets right up in the middle.
