That's great to here man I'm a recovering alcoholic and I also laid it down.I started writing gospel music.So you are right man God is amazing. He has a plan for all of us.
Just the fact that I lived not even ten minutes down the road from them and I knew their sister kind of brings me hope that even from a little insignificant town like ours, we can still make it big in music. That really brings me hope with my music on here.
My mother unexpectedly passed away a month ago. Shortly after she passed my dad found a post it note with the name of the band and the title of this song. I played this song at her memorial. I have never heard of them before but have been listening to it since she has passed. It gives me a lot of comfort. She passed away with a radio next to her playing Christian music. So I know she went in peace. I know she wanted to see this band before she died but they aren't playing in my area any time soon. I feel she lives through the music. May sound corny but it helps me cope.
Ask and ye shall receive! I asked Jesus to show me my pride and dishonesty, and He did. Then I asked Him to remove it. Then when I was able to be for real with myself and Him, I asked Him to show me my sin. Then I asked to wash my sin away with His blood. Then I asked Jesus to show me the fears, doubts and scars I had in my heart. Then I asked Jesus to take it away. I could not do any of this myself, I had to ASK HIM to do it. He did. And then HE ASKED ME to tell others what He did for me.

So much thanks to Need To Breathe and Rick Beato for this song. This song means so much to me because it was a dedication I did at my father's funeral in November 2011, when he went home to Jesus unexpectedly. I'm so comforted to think that this song is what he and Jesus are saying to all of us. My dad (Grant Hammond) was an incredible musician that I had to joy of playing guitar with for many years. Like Rick, my dad could just write music like most of us speak language. He was always tweaking and perfecting sounds and genuinely LOVED music. I will always feel grateful and connected to Need to Breathe and Rick Beato for this entire album, but especially to Lay 'em Down. You guys are incredible, and evoke the emotions and thoughts of a lifetime of love and forgiveness that my father showed me and many others through your music and words. First heard them singing Lay Em Down at 3:30am on the God Channel in New Zealand, almost to the day!, when life was really challenging and I didn’t know if I’d come through the storm.
Loved their music and the band since then!
Now back in the UK and got a ticket to go see them in September!
14 years waiting to see them in concert is totally worth it and a Godly desire answered!

This music , this band in particular ,all of their songs ... this all just touches my heart so deeply in a way I can't quite describe . A good way, and I'm okay with not quite being able to describe the feeling because I'm going to ' just be' , be still, and allow God, this music to flow through my mind body and soul. These guys are great vessels for the Holy Spirit, their music always seems to really make me feel closer to God.

There are no "worst sinners" in the eyes of Jesus. The bible says that "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of the Lord." That is precisely why God sent his only son to die on the cross for our sins! The blood that he shed on the cross washes away ALL our sin if we just say we are sorry, walk away from the sin and worship him. Just a prayer and promise to follow Jesus and our slate is washed clean!

I remember when I heard this song.. I was sitting in my car and I closed my eyes (dealing with stress and life choices) tired of feeling and being broken.. I lifted my hands up and began to pray and feeling my burdens being lifted . My shoulders literally felt lighter.. I love this song so much .

NEEDTOBREATHE has helped me though so much. I discovered their music several years ago and have since been to 2 of their concerts. I will never forget those experiences. I hope to get to another one very soon and actually meet the band. I wish I could tell them in person how much they have helped my and some of my best friends through our hardships. There is a song of theirs for every situation. I listen to them constantly and never get tired. Would people stop arguing about the religious aspects of the song and the band? Just enjoy the music and leave everyone else alone please. I am Jewish and just enjoy the music for what it us. Religion in general, no matter which it is, teaches people to love each other and that it is what we should do. If you can't do that, then please just don't insult others on their beliefs and ideas.

I'm an atheist, but regardless of faith or religion, good music is written from the heart and from what speaks to the heart. Whether or not that is God or Loved Ones or a basic faith in the beauty of humanity, appreciate that music as it is something someone believes in. Whether or not you believe in what they believe or if you think they are wrong should not effect how you view the music that is on the screen above. I love this song My Aunt died 2 years ago and one of my last memories of her while under hospice care was still clapping and stomping her feet whenever this song played.

This was the first song we heard from you. Christian Cable on our shabby TV. It blared as loud as possible I cleaned up after a 4 and 6 year old while they were at preschool. We will be there Thursday, August 6th, 2015 to LAY EM DOWN with you and so many other amazing believers. Our daughters are now 10 and 12 year old. They have grown up with you in the background. We saw Taylor Swift in California as a family. When you were one of the opening acts, their parents (us) went wild. Ever since then, they have adapted your songs as their soundtrack for life, sharing you with their "tween" friends. We cannot wait for Thursday!!!!!!!
