In hindsight, it's interesting to compare Grant and Tiffany to Trevor and Little Mo. Wheras the audience was encouraged not to humanise Trevor and to rally for Mo all the way, in Tiffany's case, the Grant character got to abuse her, cheat on her and claim her daughter without any repercussion. It still disgusts me 20 years later how it ended for Tiff... it violated every dramatic convention there is. You don't put one character through that much suffering only to kill her at the end of it.
Absolutely agree. Tiffany suffered and suffered and after all that, her daughter never gets to know her beautiful mother or how hard she fought for her. I always wanted Grant to be the victim of some calamity - not to die - I love Ross Kemp too much for that. But Grant never truly paid for the way he treated his wives. Even Max got buried alive!
@@chiedu90069 With all due respect Grant treated Tiffany like crap but she just kept running back to him over and over. Beppe loved her and would've treated her with respect but still she seemed to love Grant more.If she had been smart she would've run and never gone back.
@@DAN985 but sadly that's often how abusive relationships go, it's a psycological thing, it can also be a self esteem thing...we accept the love we think we deserve 😔
Gotta love all the white knights sticking up for Tiffany. She can have another man's kid but Grant isn't supposed to be upset about it? Give me a break.
grant wasn’t evil he was just damaged emotionally he didn’t know how to love so when he did finally find someone he just controlled them and physically manhandled them thinking that’s what you do when you love someone, but it wasn’t. like when courtney was born how he was with tiff protective, sweet. he was a broken man who was damaged he wasn’t evil and no matter what tiff still loved him and grant didn’t understand why, but at the end of the day you can’t help who you fall for and tiff fell for grant with all his flaws she still loved him.
Tiffany and Lisa's scripts ended up writing themselves- Grant/Phil are physically or emotionally abusive towards them, cheat on them (with someone close to them) and they just say 'but I love him,' and burst out crying
Eastenders will never be as good as this again!
Eastenders went downhill post 2005
To me it was 03 04 when it basically finished should have got axed though
I was on Grant's side with a lot of his arguments with tiffany. This one especially....the fact she kept partying and drinking while being pregnant.
I was on Tiffanys side
Only because you’re a bloke! 🙄

seems he got it bad with sharon and then this.
all that fuss and grant was the father after all
The guy was just hanging brain, I mean, what's all the fuss? If that's flashing, then lock me up.
Bully Grant 😏😪

Ended up being his kid tho
Um it was his kid and ended up having an affair with her own mother in
Grant was an awful husband to Tiffany. He was strict, abusive and slept with Tiffany's mum who was a middle aged woman. Smh
