I wanted to known why Qianlong didn't like the children born to Empress Xiaoyichun:
- Gulun princess Hejing even though she had the Gulun princess's title she was not treated as. And she got her title just because she was married into a mongolian noble men. Even her dowry was less expensive than the 3rd princess.
- heshuo princess heke was for me the most pitiable amongst all of them. Firstly she had the least expensive dowry amongst all the princesses and even the adopted daughter of Qianlong and secondly she was the only princess in qing disnaty who didn't have the Gulun princess title even thought her mother was posthumously title as an empress.
- Enven thought he became emperor, jiaqing was the only fit candidate to the throne and even qianlong said himself that if he happens ti becane a bad ruler may he died as soon as possible.
All of them have the same mother and were treated worst amongst all their sibling except Yonji so i think we can assume that it was not the children fault but maybe their mother Ling.
Note: Empress Xiaoyichun is commonly known as Consort Ling and was only titled Empress posthumously.
Maybe because this daughter was born when he was in his 60s (which is insanely old) and it had been a decade since his last child was born, hence the deep favoritism. Also what happened to Yongji in real life?
@@asurmenhandofasuryan4610 Even thought she was just posthumously titled as Empress, all the other princess whom their mothers was posthumously titled as well were latter promoted as Gulun Gongzhu.
About Yongji, he is the only son of qianlong who didn't have an official title, he was only a beile which was super low due to the fact that he was the legitimate son and was never promoted again.

@@user-dc4sq9fb4t Yeah, she was Imperial Noble Consort even before she died. More or less became the de facto Empress after Empress Ula-Nara cut her hair.

Correction: The JiaQing emperor succeeded the throne 3-4 years before the QianLong emperor emeritus past on.

I was thinking, couldn’t have the princess asked her brother - the emperor - if she can move back in the palace with her (step)kids due to being in a financial tight situation. Was she allowed to move back even with the kids? Or she didn’t want to?

@@dipanwitadasgupta5221 I know it doesn't sound nice and it is not, but that's was how thing worked back them, you must remember that it was 17 century, china and the society was deep Confusian they don't look the women like very respectfully even if they were high Ranked Nobles and Princes, they actually have some lucky among the other Chinese women's at the momen.
Plus I guess the princess has to allow the concubines first as well but it was actually common that she agrees specially because most marriages were not founded in love and specially the wives need someone to distract the husband is she Didin't like it at all. in any case her son's were the one most legitimate and she has all the authority and status as well.

@@IGUniverse excuse me I think u r Missing my point- where the imperial son in law was a court noble or official he could not keep concubines as he pleased without done form of permission from the Emperor his father- in- law- it was a matter of Royal prestige and 2nd i am fully aware of history 🙄 Where the son -in- law was member of a foreign imperial house like the Mongolian chieftains etc there the sons in law were thems lves princes so they lived faraway and had the right to keep their concubines as they themselves knew the Manchu princess who was married into their family for imperial political alliances etc were to be treated as the highest lady besides her mother in law and legitimate sisters in law born from the legitimate wife of the father in law 👀
The fact that she live okay and pass from murder because of her ugliness that make her going well even though there jealousy too but she did well regard for her kindness back some for her father did to her
