These got me through the pandemic; I sure hope someday there will be more like these gems.
I just realized that.. i am late to the party 🥳 .. already 2 hours into it . Will be ordering me a mug and a shirt
big nostalgia hit guys! great to have in one handy place
This supercut is incredible! I am on my third watch through this weekend and it gets better every single time. Your take on Bazooka has become the definitive version, and Cobra Commander has NEVER been this ruthless. Eagerly anticipating the next playmotion video! Yo Jo...Burg.
Now this is an epic saga!
Thanks Sarge! 😜
You are Xtremely talented. The location choices, the intros, the music 🎶 themes from the cartoon. Knowing when and when it's not OK to show your hands ✋️. Implementing Star Wars toys and it being totally within the realm. These deserve all the praise you get!!! Hopefully you continue these...
You have got to sell this on Blu-ray and DVD. It would still go in my collection right beside the original series.
This was such a blast to watch!!! Now, I just need the Blu-ray set!!!........burg.
Just like how we played as kids, creating our own sound effects and using our imagination to do the rest.
Well done!
I've rewatched all of these a few times and now in a 3 day span I've watched this video. So enjoyable and inspirational to play with our Joe's. Thanks for doing what you all do.
Better than the movies!!!! Dialog…. Top notch. Seriously, make this your day job 🤙🏽🇺🇸🤘🏽👍🏽👉🏼🍺
2:53 I had that Major Bludd! I'm impressed you've still got these classics!
Never had him as a kid, but I was kicking around a retro toy store in Dublin and pulled him out of a box. There are treasures out there to be found!
I remember seeing this link on Hisstank. Just binged it again it’s so great i love it. Literally sat on my couch and watch it start to finish. Please do more
What an achievement! You guys have built such an incredible legacy of works of art that I have enjoyed so much, and continue to do so. You guys have invigorated owning GI Joe toys as an adult (beyond collecting) in a way that no one else has, and it’s been a big inspiration for me. Even though I don’t make playmotion videos (maybe one day), I certainly get my figures and vehicles out and play out narratives, and you guys have been a huge inspiration for that. I feel like imaginative and creative play as an adult is sorely missing from a lot of people’s lives, and it’s really a good thing that people can do for themselves to reconnect with some ways we used to play as kids... and to do it with the coolest toys in history is something I’m very grateful for. Thank you for all the priceless content!
Keep making more of these sagas love them and thank you
This popped up in my feed because I’m a Joe fan and at first I didn’t know what I was watching but the great story telling and amazing voice work pulled me in. After a few minutes I felt like I was watching puppeteering. The entire vibe is like a mix of a small black box theatre play filmed with great cinematography. The camera angles, soundtrack, different voices and mouth sound effects come together perfectly. I enjoyed this better than any of the newer Joe movies. For me it’s more respectful to the source material and truly captures that feeling I had playing with these toys as a kid. This is the first video I’ve ever watched on your channel and the longest post I’ve ever made on a UA-cam video. I can tell a lot of work was put into this project and I wanted to let you know that work is appreciated. Thanks for taking me back to my child hood for awhile. You guys are awesome
Thank you so much for taking the time to write us such a generous comment! It’s amazing to see this kind of warts-and-all storytelling finding its audience. And an audience of such calibre. YO JOE!
Just found this ! How have I missed this till now. It's totally AWESOME !! - it's exactly the way I played Joes with my friends when we were kids and brings back SO many good memories. Thanks for making this and keep up the GREAT work !!
Glad you found us! Thanks so much and YO JOE!!!
From someone who has been making action figure video shorts for a year. This is fantastic! Great script, voice acting, sound effects and camera shots! Sick Joe collection too!
Much appreciated! I’ll be checking out your channel!
Unbelievable! Grown ass men playing with kid's toys
and they are having a good time and using their imagination. I love it. If you have a good time and it makes you happy, do it. Carry on soldier!
Great job. I dont have time to qatch all, but ill definitely sub and give a thumbs up. So many childhood emotions happening right now i havnt thought of in 40 yrs.
This is really , I mean really amazing, you guys are real artist , great script , great voice over , great editing , i demand more !!!!!!!!!!! Great job pals
I had my dad watch this. He too said that after a while he was so engrossed into the story that he subconsciously started to ignore that he was watching toys and enjoyed it just as if he had been watching a block buster with known cast.
High praise indeed! Cross-generational viewing. Please tell your dad that he made our day.
Love the channel I hope you do it for years to come!
Thank you so much! We are here to stay buddy!
this was better than 90% of what's showing in theaters
Classic material...
Hey guys, absolutely loving this.....Burg.
Oh wow...big collection.
I'd fear losing parts and accessories in the water. fun watch
This has put a smile on my face... i have shared it with some childhood friends...
Thank you! Glad you liked what we do here.
This is a masterpiece! I’d love to see a Ninja Force themed movie one day
🤩🥷🏻🥷🥷🏿🇺🇸
We’ll get there some day! In terms of toy releases this covered 1984-1988. So expect the Ninja Force movie in 2026 😅
Please make more of these. Possibly a series. These are awesome
Thank you! We do an ongoing series currently as part of our UA-cam Membership benefits, feel free to check it out; feel free to cancel if it’s not your thing 😉
the rated R gi joe, niice!
This is pretty cool. You guys did a phenomenal job... Go Joe!!!
THIS WAS INSANE. 😂 Loved it!!!!
Love your work , EXCELLENT , make more , brings back memories . Great work guys 5 stars indeed!!!
Wow, this is awesome Will watch it in parts but great play motion. Burg👍
I was just at Kokomo Toys today, and I traded all 16 of my 12 inch G.I.Joe Hall of Fame figures for a Vamp Mark II. I decided not to buy the tan 84 Clutch because I already had 2 Clutch figures. One swivel arm one from 83 and one 82 one with my original vamp. I didn't feel like spending more money on an 84 Clutch when I can use my 83 Clutch for my Vamp Mark II vehicle for now, and maybe I'll acquire a tan 84 Clutch later on. I decided to get back into collecting Joe's again since my mom got me a glass case from Ikea for Christmas to put all my Joe's and Cobra's with their vehicles in.
🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏
Y’all have 2 do more!!!
Classic!!!!
Thank you!
Great job guys, the script and voice overs are great. This is better than the resent movie attempt in my opinion.
Love this. Well done guys. Yo Joe!!!
Awesome Hand explosions!!!😂😂😂 same thing I did as kid!
Mouth sound-effects too I hope. Standard!
Yo Joes! And Agents of Cobra Command… this vid has been edited to comply with UA-cam copyright rules. For a better viewing experience, and an hour of extra material, hit this link! ua-cam.com/video/asnSst95jmk/v-deo.htmlsi=CZHyGAv03fzIoQo8
1:15:26 dude I’m am seriously loving the sound effects and the actions performed by hand 🤚🏻 literally
Thankyou for this!! I was having a horrible day but this completely turned it around!! Super nostalgic, the same sound effects I would make 😂😂😂 such simple times. This looked like it was a blast to create. Thankyou for this 🤙🏾 YOOOO JOE!!!!
Thank you so much Julio. It turns my day around to hear that too. I’m sorry you were having a horrible day! But glad we could help.
There were some less than comfortable shooting conditions at times, it wasn’t always plain sailing. But having all of this on record feels great. And yes, does transport us all to a simpler time where all we needed were some GI JOE toys and a place to play.
This is legit amazing. Y’all captured on video the sort of stuff that we as kids would imagine while playing with action figures. $$$
Hey man so I am trying to get ideas on what type of joe videos to create and I gotta say you guys are super creative and I am loving your utube page. Great work please keep them coming these are super fun to watch..yo joe and cobra.
Thanks for putting them all together. I started watching these a few years back, but could never find all the episodes.
What's so funny to me is the"kid" in me is like F&$# yeah, go go go go, the adult in me is like, "your original screws are gonna rust in that water" , that was awesome
Thank you! And don’t worry, those screws were already plenty rusty. I always played in and around water!
Man I missed so many episodes and now I can catch up!!!!
I accidentally discovered this while watching the original series from the 80's. Really awesome! Wish I still had my fairly sizable collection... great voice work too! I guess it's true what to they say: We never grow up, we just get older 😂 . Thanks so much for posting. Cheers mate! 🤘😁🖖🇨🇦
Glad you found us Colin. And glad you’re keeping that inner child alive. YO JOE!
Reminds me of my after school hours :D ...
This is freaking awesome 👍🏿😎😎😎
Bruuuh!! This is amazing!
Thank you! It was a lot of fun.
This is the best thing i have found in the last year!!!! Its the way I use to play. I have found you after watching you guys on Universal toy collector.
We recently had Xazyl on our channel. If i had known u hung out I would bought this up.
Brilliant brilliant channel, and i will love watching the rest of these Playmotion vids ❤❤❤👍👍👍
Welcome to Joburg! Good to have you buddy.
Ong I loved Gi Joe when I was a kid. This is hilarious.
😂😘
Whoa....love this stuff
This is an amazing project!
I love and hate that you guys play with all these great toys in all the muck. 👍 Keep having fun guys.
I’m grateful that there are well-curated museum examples of these toys. Frees me up to play with them like it’s 1985! Thanks for commenting!
these videos are so well done man.. do you write before you film? or are you freestylin? improve? i totally wanna do this with mine. I gotta decent collection to make something cool at this point
Most have a script, some are workshopped a bit more. But everything is subject to change when we hit the location and inspiration takes us!
@@gijoburg that's awesome man everytime I see these videos I'm inspired. They really do bring the kid back out of me and I know many others feel the same.
Very entertaining from what i see so far. Very scary Cobra Commander.
This combines the best of the toys, the comics, the toy commercials, and the cartoon series that we all hoped would be in a movie someday. Hollywood came along and ignored all of that which is why I refuse to watch any of their so-called GI Joe movies.
This is awesome!🛫
You guys are great
LOVE these episodes! Watching these were the same feeling like watching NEW GIJoe episodes, a pleasure we haven't had since the glorious 80s!
Thanks for collecting them all here, I'm gonna rewatch them like the old daily cartoons, a little everyday, to stretch out the enjoyment.
I REALLY hope you keep making them, you inspired me to start collecting again, and I love your creative energy!
Trying to capture the glory of GIJoe and the times we lived through is like trying to capture lightning in a bottle, but you do it so well!
Yo Joe ..... Burg!
Fantastic! Real life comics.
Oh wow. I dropped off watching the vids for quite a while. Can’t wait to use this to catchup on the content. Hope you all are doing well.
Welcome back to Joburg! Hope you enjoy!
Earned one more sub for this amazing piece of content. Wow.
Thank you. Welcome to Joburg!
Thanks! Amazing work 👍
Sgt. Slaughter should take out all that venom from Cobra Commander who fails like a viper.
Awsomeness 🍻
Genial brother
Hahahah I liked you made me laught a lot !!❤
The're all great, but i love the Jinx ninja episode!
It’s a personal fave of ours too! Thank you.
Who's still watching this Amazing movies in 2024😮
Flints gonna be heated when he hears about ace and lady jane's beach getaway. 😂
The ratio in the workplace is like 100:1 so I guess Flint’s used to taking turns…
is there anyway to make a shot-for-shot remake of the original Top Gun? Kickstarter?
I’m flattered! Reckon there’s demand for such a thing? Present company notwithstanding!
Question joburg, first off happy new year to you the family and the rest of the joburg team, y wasn't the prelude to blood in the water included
Great question! Our collaborators have made a huge catalog of Playmotion vids (all in the “Special Forces” playlist on our channel, if you’re on the hunt). Troy Smith made the prelude as his first contribution (of many!) But in the interest of keeping this under four hours (just!) and also not taking the credit for anyone else’s hard work, we kept it strictly adventures created by GI Joburg. Thanks for asking!
@@gijoburg thank you for replying
Dam, good episode!!!!!! If only the studio had hired you instead of the uncreative writers from in-house when making the Storm Shadow/Snake Eyes Origins Movie a few years back.
You are using GI Joe Toys, and other 1/18 vehicles yet you crafted a story so good, paired it with great music 🎶 timed just right, mated with compelling dialog. I completely forgot I was watching a movie made with toys as the characters and props.
Do you prewrite the story and actually draw story boards or just wing it as you go along filming?
Thank you so much! I go as far as writing out the script, the action is pretty much worked out on the day. Sometimes I go unscripted and work out the dialogue afterwards; I find that captures the spirit of spontaneously playing with toys best.
Man i was laughing so hard but then I stopped... because damn this is pretty good
Thanks for sharing this video and good job
That Joe at the beginning is an Aussie mate!
MAAAAAATE!
damn, Recondo has crazy reaction time! Dodging bullets and hip firing center mass for a kill shot?!?! Hell yeah! I just discovered this today myself. I enjoyed every second of it. I'm going to be making films soon. I have to write the script and I'm going to use my Classified's for up-close story shots because of the detail and for vehicles, I'm going to use my 3.75 joe/cobra vehicles. I hope when I get mine done that you guys will help critique my work. I'm new to it, so keep that in mind, LOL. I enjoyed your work and how it reminded me of my brother and I playing together. We would use He-Man figures as evil monsters from space that were tough against our weapons and could regenerate and we'd didn't play Joe/Cobra, we played to Country's military forces working as allies to stop the invasion. Our guns had "bullet maker" tech that used oxygen from the air to charge the magazine which was a plasma charge "bullet" that never ran out. You just had to baby the weapon a bit as to not overheat it and shut it down. Sorta like in early Mass Effect's overheat mechanic. We had the same for fuel cells for our vehicles. Our armies fought everything from dragon toys to Predator and Alien figures and more! I'm much older now and can write stories and storyboard so I'm hoping my skills as a storyteller have grown. Again, loved your work and can't wait to watch more!
Smart bullets? Canonical Joe tech from the Dwayne Johnson movie! 😅
@@gijoburg LOL, awww yeah!😅😆😁 You def. earned my sub. btw.
@@BaronNate thank you! Welcome to GI JOBURG!
Maybe in these ridiculous boots had me howling
On a sidenote: my dream as a young child was if I were ever super rich I would dedicate a very large room to a GI Joe world, one end Cobra and bases etc and the other the Joe's and bases etc. Imagine a Very large room, remember I'm rich haha, and all types of landscapes etc. You pull this altogether in a better way. Couldn't fit all this terrain in a very large room haha
Buddy, the amount of time I’ve spent crouching in a fetid swamp getting chowed by mosquitos and keeping a vigilant eye for crocs wishing I was in an air conditioned studio… but I guess the juice is worth the squeeze. Thank you so much for the kind words.
I'm not sure a studio could out do what you capture. 🤔
I guess with an unlimited budget it's possible, but I don't think you realize how good these look. You have the perspective of knowing what's going, and from experience that greatly diminishes what the eyes can also imagine. Keep in mind, we don't see what you see, not by any means. Our imagination helps make these shoots more realistic than not. Hope that makes sense. Thank You 😊
@@Kashmir23 I’m delighted that (hands and all) your suspension of disbelief allows you to go on this adventure. Thanks again man, it always makes my day to hear feedback like this.
Question. The removable Campaign Cover/"Brown Round" (Drill Sgt. "Hat") Sgt. Slaughter (Wart Hog IFV Version) has. Does it fit on any of the Zarana figures? Thought it would be a fun Easter Egg/reference to an incident in "Arise, Serpentor Arise!" Serial.
Dang! I’d love to be able to answer that but my Zarana is in Aus and my Sarge is in Africa!
@@gijoburg No hurry. :-0
Me personally I would not do that to my gi joes
What were the Blackhawk, abrams and hummers from? Those were awesome.
They have various names but all produced by the same Hong Kong based company. When I got them they were World Peacekeepers by Power Team Elite. I believe in the US they’re now called “Click And Play”?
You know at first I started watching this because I thought it was funny seeing Kronman playing with toys. But then I started to watch it and honestly, it was better than the last two G.I. Joe movies and the cobra law movie. I don’t know if that’s good or bad, but I enjoyed it, it was definitely more G.I. Joe than G.I. Joe is now
It came from a place of lifelong devotion to Joe. So I’m glad that it feels legit! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Yes, Cobra Commander is going to pay with all those BATs. He loses and gets severely injured enough to suffer for eternal hell in mental ward.
Muito bom 😲👏🏻 🇧🇷
Obrigado! 🇿🇦
At 4.15, what kind of mate drags you up a cliff face by your ankles 😅...oh, he's the enemy, and Australian, so that's ok 😊.
🦵 🇦🇺 💥
Was this shot in Bandera Texas it looks like where I use to live in pipe creek Texas
It was shot in various locations, but I’m afraid Texas was not one of them! Now I’m curious to visit Bandera…
Who is the inside man Fox is referring to feeding them intel?
Ooooh deep cut question! Who is the double agent within GI Joe? That should be a saga on its own! I’d like to think that choice bit of info was slipped from a Cobra operative. Get those Corps to do the dirty work.
🔥🔥🔥🙌🏾🙏🏾
Are these episodes in order?
Chronological story order; not order of release.
Fucking awsome
😊
Well, they have done it again. Another instant classic. Well done!
It’s not always about quality. 😊😊😊😊
King Bong 🦍
rambo first blood
That rock 11:5 looked Iike a croc.
Seen this vids many times; never caught that detail. Good spot!
@@gijoburg thanks
How much for allll your gijoe stuff
Not for sale. Thanks!
