Honestly the best thing you can do is just go through and replace all of the suspension bushes with mostly OE stuff and a few select powerflex ones, get some quality tyres, service it including gearbox oil and these are the perfect B road machine. Had mine 6 years, not had any major issues, will never sell it
Bought my first 182 a couple of weeks ago but am just waiting to do the belts and dephaser before I start with some modifications. I've also come from years of BMW ownership (mainly 02's, e21, e30 inc track prepped e30 M3 & e46 M3) so am starting over with front driven hatchbacks. I only paid £2k for my Clio but belts etc are adding another £650 or so, but still pretty happy with that. Anyway, looking forward to seeing how you get on and have subscribed. Mark
Thanks for that fantastic reply. There's a great vid by a guy with a £100 182 who's just put up how to do the belts and dephaser which is worth a watch. I also have an E46 M3 which is my baby but am loving the 182 which has surprised me. We probably paid the going rate as you can get them for 2-3k but both our cars had the timing belt and dephaser done as well as being relatively standard which was what we were after so we could modify. Next installment will be up very soon, we've been dealing with holidays/work and I've been fairly sick recently so that has put a delay on filming. Thanks for the sub and hopefully see you on the track! :)
Looking forward to this. Hoping to buy a Clio 182 myself in the near future. I hope you don't both go the PMS short shifter, as the rattle is a deal breaker for a daily/road car in my eyes (or ears).
Thanks Drew! I myself (Ryan) have come from E46 BMWs and can’t say I’m a FWD fan at all but I absolutely love the Clio. I definitely think you can get examples which have been modified a bit for a lot cheaper than we paid for 2-3k but budget 4k for a mint one with full service history. Belts and Dephaser being the most important things to have been done. I have lots of parts on order but not yet received, hence the delay in filming but I have gone for the PMS as there doesn’t seem to be many, if any, short shift options. We will have to do some research for a cheap alternative for Rob’s option.
@@ShedLifeUK Thanks Ryan. I actually have a similar history. Learned to drive with a BMW e30 before moving to an e87 130i for the past few years. Now looking for something a bit more fun and silly. I will be interested to see how annoying you find the noise from the PMS as a road car.
Thank you! For anyone reading, we’re working hard on organising the next episode so it shouldn’t be too long for those who are waiting. Thanks for all the subs 👊🇫🇷🚙💨

Definitely intending to get some powerflex bushes on there for sure! Glad to hear you've had 0 major issues in that time.
Looking forward to this series
Wow, the algorithm brought me to this video and channel. For a sub 1k sub, production is good. Premise is good. Looking forward to more.
Thank you, we appreciate it 👊
This was awesome! Can't wait to see how you develop these 182s!
Check out the rest of the series!
