Here is a theory, they probably know which box it is under by hiding a secret camera in the back and then under their masks they might screen where they see the camera. When Simon gives the envelopes, there might be multiple papers in the envelope and they might switch it by using finger speed like other magicians do. There are many tricks they could've done to do this, I can think of a lot of theories that could work if done right. I don't think you should be scared that this is some witchcraft lol.

They could have just left the stand outside for the guy to place the sword and stand in one of the boxes. If they did then they probably primed him to put it in a specific box and then set up the draw to make sure that box doesnt get chosen.
