South C has indeed changed, tall skyscrapers everywhere, hope the county Government is doing it's part of expanding, roads, expanding the sewage pipes and increasing the water supply to accommodate more residents, kudos for the info. 😅
I remember the old South C gated community we used to live in during the Moi era in 1994. The place has changed big time and Nairobi in general in terms of growth. I missed the old days of Nairobi. Good memories.
No, we need to have been smart enough to be able to copy what the contractor did. We will never BBC benefit fully from our projects if we don't move towards doing it ourselves. The more you do it, the better you become.
Dolphin, you've been so consistent in promoting these structures. Why don't you go further to engage owners so aa to earn by marketing their structures. You've a large viewership base. Subscribers lets bitch for her, she deserves as a marketing platform for these structures. She uses her energy, money, and time to put those wonderful structures into the limelight.
Hi Dolphin. I was born in this area in the 70s. My Mother who was working as a secretary in Nairobi, got a mortgage to buy a house in Nairobi West. This was actually a Government Sponsored housing program that saw many estates built in Nairobi, including South C South B, Langata, Buru Buru and many others. Kenyans should not oppose Affordable Housing, as this same program built many of the famous estates in the 60s all the way to the 80s. I left Kenya in the 80s and have lived abroad ever since, so every time I come home to visit I get lost as my old neighborhood has really changed. Anyways thank you so much for the video. You do an awesome job.
How will Nairobi Sewer and water systems support all these ongoing infrastructure? Mind you besides these high rises don't forget the Affordable housing program whereby older estates are being cleared for new housing meaning more people will require water and sewer services. IS nairobi staying abreast this situation. We do not need Slum high rises
I have just seen on ntv kilimani , kileleshwa lavington developer are not observing distance between one construction to another some are even as close as a half a meter, imagine you not seeing light the whole day
After they have sold you the apartments and pocketed the profits they will leave you the individual owners of the apartments with all the problems which will come after. No one is anticipating the problems as the highrises keep being build.
Aping the USA too much, this country!! Agriculture should still have remained the backbone. Real estate has been handled badly and misused. We're throwing away our heritage. We need to asses our environmental state
Any investor now first thinks of a mall or an apartment block, no matter the oversupply. Consumerism is driving our economy when we are still a developing economy. We need to see more industries or plantations/greenhouses. But with the cost of production and bureaucracy in Kenya, sometimes I don't blame them.
That Somali music is so lit Dolphine 👌👌👌

I think Kenya has decided to go the china way, high rise apartments. Is it good or bad?
It's a good thing to utilise space above rather than eat up land space everywhere
