The fact that this hidden diamond was only hired because of the outcry over no Asian cast members goes to show how snl doesn’t just hire because of talent because if that were true he would have been hired years ago.

It’s crazy they only hired more black women in the show after that one sketch where Keenan had to dress up like a dozen different black women. I wonder if it’s because they’ve had the same leadership for a long time and are kind of not into changing

Bowen is the guy version of Kate. He comes up with great characters that kill every time.

Mine too! I remember it was the first time I ever saw Bowen in a skit and I couldn't stop laughing uproariously at that line. I kept saying, "I don't know why, but the way he said that was just hilarious!" 😂

he NEEDS to be a future comedy icon. He actually brings life and passion into his deliveries. Even if the script isn't funny sometimes he just makes it entertaining as hell to watch
This guy will be a nobody in 6 months. To be a comedy icon you have to be funny and this guy is absolutely terrible.
He was amazing in Fire Island! If you haven’t seen it I highly recommend it, it’s a gay modern Pride & Prejudice and he plays the Jane role. He’s hysterically funny but there’s also some super moving depth that I hope his future roles capitalize on!

the performers write too! he probably wrote, or co-wrote, most of the sketches in this compilation. it's just a matter of what gets picked to be on the live show.
Writing has been so good- also he is responsible for some of his own writing .
@@jccota08 in my opinion, I think the writing has been weak way at the beginning when Kim Kardashian hosted the show. .it did pickup when Jake Gyllenhaal hosted but the show has not been consistent.

I freaking love Bowen so much! Rewatching his stuff to tide me over until Fire Island drops and I’m just randomly remembering this one totally bs criticism I keep seeing about him in SNL comments which is that all his characters are “the same.” For awhile I couldn’t figure out why people kept saying this and it just hit me. It’s because most of his characters are unapologetically queer and these commenters see gay men as a monolith. Anyway, happy Pride y’all!!
