I’m very happy that you’ve been able to carryon with your obvious love and passion for gardening in your new ( and in reality challenging) space! I bet your neighbours get lots of inspiration seeing what you’ve accomplished in such a short space of time! Your sharing of the hints and tips are very much appreciated ❤️
Thank you Lynne
You are inspiring me. I can’t believe how much you can grow in a small space.
Brilliant Thank you
Looks like you've been busy Ivan.
Not finished yet
Thank you Susan
I’ve set my alarm for 10pm slug patrol 😢 especially after yesterday’s rain
Dont blame you as they go through leaves so quick
Good luck with the hunt
Thank you Tom
I’ve planted up more in containers this year, I’ve still got four raised beds but it has given plants more space in them, plus I can put the containers in the best positions for them. You are such an inspiration Ivan ❤️
Thats very kind Thank you Lynda
Love what you're doing! And I like Ben-ho's suggestion, using the roof where you can. I do quite a few containers, too. Keep up the great work!
Will think about it Thank you Gail
You're going to have some great harvest later Ivan. I'm the same regarding container gardening as I've mentioned, I've got all sorts going again this year, I've got two small raised bed which will have brassicas in later. I love it, it's that time of year when I'm at my busiest but worth it aye ..
Very true Carol more power to you
Thank you
I didnt know that about derterminate/indeterminate thk u I've been handling that wrong !
Thank you for the feedback
Caravan roof space? Some trailing plants or even bush toms around the perimeter would receive full sunlight. If you use a hanging style basket you would only need a copper/steel conduit pipe to hook them on and off for maintenance and Im sure you could water them with a small cane shaped watering tube so theres no need for the risk of ladders anywhere. I'm setting up a wire rope in my new small greenhouse to drop twine down for my toms and cukes to climb up after my last project of a diy solar/battery water pump to pump rain barrel water to a tap and belfast sink inside. Would love you to visit other peoples set ups to share ideas and knowledge on a video, Ive learnt so much from you😊
Great idea Thank you Ben
Hang something from your obelisk temporarily while cucumbers get going?
Good option Thank you Tom
Guna av to pinch the wash bowl from the mrs
You are a brave man
Glad to see the slugs are not bothering your crops. I’m sick of them 🥴
Fingers crossed we have a Slug free Zone
Thank you Barbara
Me too, it’s taken ages to get plants in after constant rain and the day after the little blighters have eaten half of them. 🫣 Slug hunting in the dead of night here I come !
I bought a 2 tier garden bed from the range. Thrilled with it. I’ve stained it pale grey and lined like you did and put my seedlings in!
This year I’m growing all determinate tomatoes. Cherry plum and beef and they are doing well so hoping for a great crop. You really inspire me Ivan as we have an allotment but it’s becoming just too much so going over to containers and raised beds. Thanks for all your hard work and inspiring me!
Looking good Ivan. Great idea putting an indeterminate tom next to the lamppost - perfect support as it grows to over 6ft tall! 😂 I'm jealous of your peppers - mine seem to hardly have moved, stupid little things still. By the way, my trial of potatoes that were grown in pots in the greenhouse are giving up to 2kg of new potatoes per pot, great endorsement of what can be done with container gardening isn't it? 👍
Thank you Anthony i will use anything i can to get a result
Thanks Ivan, will be going around inspecting my tomatoes. Thanks for showing us what to do.
Great stuff Thank you Sheila
Lidl are selling dwarf apple trees in a plant pot for £9.99, really enjoy your vids m8 don't stop posting love watching your progress
Great stuff will pick one up today Thank you
Always room for a few more plants 🤣 Thanks for the video Ivan
Sure is Thank you Cherry
You definitely won't be able to see the caravan when that lot gets going 😂 looks ace.
Very true Thank you Donna
Your doing great with your caravan garden. Can I ask you a question, no idea why but my bell pepper's are just coming up,and there still tiny yet.do you think I will get any pepper's off them thanks x
Its late in the season but as it get warmer they should grow a lot quicker so you should get something
Thank you Tracy
If they are in containers try moving them to a different spot. Mine in the back yard are doing great. The ones in the front yard are still tiny. Don't know why but the location seems to matter.
The slugs are shocking in my garden
Yes real pests Thank you Shaun
Everything is looking brilliant Ivan .. everything looks marvellous it's amazing what you and Mrs Ivan (Ginny) have achieved. 😍 the marigolds very important for detering those little pesties black and white flies. ❤ to you both.
Very true and i may get some more
Thank you Deb
Superb stuff Ivan, well done. You look happy now your're sorted with your growing.
Thank you Linda much appreciated
Hi Ivan. Did you know that if you’re short of space/height for indeterminate tomatoes, you can cut the top at your desired height and train several suckers to grow sideways as the plant will put its energy into fruit on these side suckers. I’ve done it in a cold frame which was not very high and grew the suckers sideways with great results👍
Sounds like a great idea i will give it a go Thank you Anthony
Thanks for the advice on tomatoes, my first time attempt seem to be doing ok. Trying to grow lettuce though just isnt working for me, a few straggly bits but no lettuce leaf.
Keep at it Anne you will get there
Thank you
Hi Ivan, quick question where do you get your caravan wash bowls ?

Sweet cherry pie lvan can't wait to see what you come next mate ❤🍒😁
Thank you
Wash bowls back 👏👍
Yes they are
Small space but they did great last year
Thank you Debbie
Nice video Ivan, should you take out the lower branches on a bush tomato (baby boomer) if they are touching the compost? I don't want to take leaves off but there's the risk of pests/disease. Cheers
Hi Sam i remove lower branches from any tomato plant as they wont give fruit but if they keep getting water splashes then that could lead to disease so make sure the base is clear by a couple of inches
Thank you
Hi, had an idea what you could do with your caravan basins, take an obelisk, leave it in sections incomplete and use the sections like plant stands (cheaper), assuming basins fit this will give you height and more space just a thought. I enjoy your videos even more since you moved into caravan. All the best Maggie ❤
Good idea Thank you Maggie
Looking great Ivan. Are you going to harvest outside leaves from your little gem lettuces rather than pick the whole plant?
Yes will probably take some leaves from some and let the others grow on
Thank you Bob
Last year I missed some side shoots, when I noticed them I nipped them off and pushed them into compost and because of the hairs on the stem it rooted and I had another plant.
Yes thats true i also removed one and pushed it into a pot of compost and a new plant grew
Thank you Helen
Pls plant some roses. Its give u More beauty and positive energy
Will do if i can find any cheap enough
Thank you
Super ❤❤
Thank you much appreciated
