Great video. Not overly long, like some. Well done. That loop might be a little costly, but I was impressed by how quickly you got it set up. Took less time than unpacking everything else from the bag. I might have to look at that for home.
Hello Greg. Thanks for the video. I really like Meaher and the Five Rivers area. Camped there once, but without a radio. Hoping to get there this Fall when it's cooler. Ken KB4XT
assembling my alex loop for the first time, finding it really hard to get the outerloop to fit, saw your video thinking aha an assembly video, but the critical moment of putting the top loop on its just out of frame. It looks like your pressing down with quite a bit of force, so thinking its as tight as it is and just force it on ?? it looks so tight tho !
in that case a dipole is only a little bit better than a dummy load and people have got around the world using a ic 705 and a Alex loop not bad for a dummy load.
Nicely done Greg. MagLoop always a favorite!

Buen trabajo Greg, buen clima para trabajar al aire libre, un saludo 73!!
You didn't mention your state, but I see it was Alabama. Picking up Wisconsin from Alabama on a portable antenna? WOW. Great job.
Hello Greg - Thank you very much for your video. I wish you a lot of fun and many QRP DXs
I like it, very nice, thank you.

Thanks for sharing Greg! Looked like a great day to be out at the park and be the FIRST to activate! 73, de w0kni
What tripod would you recommend for the AlexLoop HamPack?
Does the alex loop have a 6:1 reduction on the dial? Some looks are very difficult to tune without the reduction. Thanks and great video
The Alexloop has three turns of the capacitor dial for 7 to 30 MHz. So that would be about 6 to 1. The tuning is smooth and easy to do.

I noticed the same. I think it will get easier with use.
"You're really weak, right at the noise level". About right for a portable Dummy Load. An expensive Dummy Load at that.
