- In this video, I take you through all the silversmithing processes of raising a bell from sheet metal and as a little bonus, how to make a domed ring. Trust me, the result has a nice ring to it.
That was amazing!! I love watching these videos. I always learn something. You are very talented. Beautiful Bell!!
Thank you. Glad to hear that Cheryl. 😊
I love this video. I’ve been attempting mini bells with 925 with no success.
Thank you for sharing!
I'm glad you do and you are most welcome. Just keep trying. :-)
One bell to rule them all... Nice, and that domed ring was cool!
"One bell to rule them all"... that has a nice ring to it. Yeah, that is a neat trick. Og godt nytår til dig og familien.

Stunning. You must have invested 100's of hours into this. Incredible work buddy 😁😁😁😁
Thanks my friend. 😊 It did cost a few hours. Actually, I think I spend more time on the project than video this time. 🤣
Beautiful noise :)
Thank you. Yes, it is. :-)
Metal 💜💜💜
Abba sung about it...:-)
That reminds me, I’ve got a brand new sheet of copper waiting for my next raising adventure.
Let it have the hammer! ;-)
Fascinating, as always. I love your work and have also been trying to raise a copper cup - Hahaha - I am stuck at the bowl. I cannot get my head around the act of hammering being used to crunch the metal in on itself and not appear to stretch the metal which is usually what happens. I am now re inspired because I would love to make this beautiful bell. Thank you so much for sharing, I do hope you and your lovely family have managed to keep safe and well
Thanks, Viv. Yes, it is a fascinating process. Just keep at it and make that metal yield to your mind/hammer. Thank you, we are all good. Happy new year. :-)
Beautiful, thank you, I learned a thing or 10:) Very generous of you
Thank you, you are most welcome. 😊
Excelente!!!
Thank you. 😊

@@andyt3233 I will, just need a bit of time. ;-) Sounds good. I about to make a chassing set myself... perhaps I could make that into a video...
@@ShapingSilver please I want to see what you use
@@andyt3233 I'll see what I can do. :-)
Great video. What was the thickness of the silver sheet pls?
Thank you. 😊 It's 0.8 mm.
Fantastic, how did you finish off the hook for the hammer at the end? You make great videos , keep it up.
Thank you. 😊 It's a bit difficult to see, but I cut the wire in half and bend them to each side. I'm probably going to revisit that, cut a thread in the wire and put a small nut in the end. Thanks for watching.
12:40 well... I didn't expect this to turn up so... naughty 😳
Well, neither did I. 🤣
