- A short tutorial on wrapping vintage baby rick-rack with stitching, also known as couching. I'm using 3 strands of DMC floss, but you can use whatever you prefer. Pearl cotton works well too.
Want to learn how to make a vintage pincushion like the one shown in the video? You can purchase my 1 hour and 20 minute, pre-recorded video in this link. It's $40 and you'll own it forever. You can jump to any segment and re-watch at any time. There is also a private Facebook group you'll be invited to join once you have purchased. That link is in the first segment. So creative! I love the Rick rack tips. Beautiful needle keepers and pincushion!🌸
Adds a nice touch to the project!
So cute thank you
Pretty!
That's darling!
Love this. Thank you.
Thank you for talking instead of just music with no explanation. I have not hear the term wrapping and thought you meant wrapping it over the edge and hiding the cut edge. Now, couching, I understand.
Wrapping, seemed the natural thing to call it, but guess the proper term would be couching. ;)
Thanks, Kelly! I have a few cards of baby vintage rick rack but had not used any yet. Now my head is spinning with a few ideas. And isn't that what you love to do? Get us inspired?
Thanks!! Inspiration is the name of the game!!
Did you stitch the rick rack down first?
Hi Paula, forgot to mention that! Just a small bit of Elmers glue, heat set that, then stitch. Just enough to keep it in place!
@@KellyClineQuilting thank you, I was thinking of doing that.
