The trick is rudimentary. What I love is, the performance and story telling takes it to another level. This shows how even a small effect can bring out the best of the reactions. Kudos...

I like doing the basic card through, then have the selection put back in the deck and the deck back in the card box. Then wrap the entire box and do it again, with the selection penetrating box AND handkerchief. And now with these added tips it will look even better. Thanks Chris!

My father-in-law owns a out of print bookstore which held a large selection of magic books. I cannot make my hands work the necessary moves (I'm a chef with knife skills instead) but I still loved grabbing one of those books and reading through it. You could almost feel the magicians of past reading the book with you. Love you channel Chris, the Magic and Puzzles. Thank you

I have always loved magic and as a kid had svengali magic props( bought from the state fair) I miss the allure of magic, some has been ruined by artists such as the masked magician but the difference of your channel, even though you give insights to the tricks, celebrate magic and puzzles and the wonder us 90's kids have. You are bringing magic back into the hearts of your viewers.

Yes, definitely more of these, and thank you for your continued efforts to keep the history of the art alive. I truly believe that the survival of magic in the digital age can only happen with one eye on the past as well as an eye on the future, especially as more and more of the classic methods-good, valid, important methods, with the power to fool even seasoned magicians to this day-get left and forgotten on the bookshelf when they could be helping to shape the next generation of illusion. Looking forward to the next one!

I loved all the styling and props, great narration over the top as well! I haven't looked at my "The Expert at the Card Table" for quite a while, and always found it quite hard to track with it's abrupt nature and tendency to cross-refference techniques in other chapters; but you have made this trick really accessible and much simpler to understand. yep, sometimes the simplest effects are the best. Looking around secondhand bookshops you often find really good magic books in unlikely places. Some of the best ones imho are the ones that are in thin booklet form, not hardback books, as they are the ones published exclusively for clubs and groups. Look for keywords like 'impromptu' and 'dinner party' and 'magic with every day objects' for easy to perform effects using what was on dinner tables of the heirarchy and gentlemens smoking clubs. 'The Gentlemens Guide to Entertaining Friends' is the sort of title youre looking for. Theres some real gems of tricks out there that are all but forgotten. Lets keep the magic alive!
