Earning the love and trust of a cat is a completely different feeling than dogs who just love you for the sake of having all the love to give. Not only that, but you have to continuously maintain that trust. It’s rewarding in a way that having dogs just can’t match. I’ve had both, and while being able to hug and hold onto a dog was definitely something I miss, I will never get tired of my cats coming to comfort me when I know they would never do it for anyone else and that I earned their concern.
If you get a cat, you’ll never regret it! I think you should start with an adult cat, (mine was 5 years old once I first got her) because kittens are still growing so they might scratch you!😢
