Bluetooth Adapter For Becker Monza radio

- Hey folks,
Recently I returned my not working GROM Bluetooth Dongle (BTD) for a replacement. Also GROM told me they don't make modules for radios with 20-pin Mini ISO CD changer ports like my recently purchased Becker Monza.
So while I'm waiting for the BTD replacement (and honestly Idk how long I'll have to wait) I decided to gamble a bit and ordered two Bluetooth adapters: ther first one is small and cheap adapter that doesn't allow making calls via Bluetooth and the second one is YATOUR with "Becker-style" connector. YATOUR module will be delivered on Thursday.
Amazon delivered cheap Bluetooth connector within hours after I purchased it. Fast shipping is truly amazing! In this video I did a quick unboxing, installation and showed how to use this module. It's very cheap and it works! Music quality is pretty fine. Don't comlpain at all. Do I need to make calls? Probably yes, but I don't mind to have such tiny, cheap Bluetooth adapter just for music. It's almost 6-7 times cheaper than my GROM module with BTD and USB cable.
Here is a direct link to the Amazon page where I purchased it:

In case they change that link here's how it's called:
HRB Car Bluetooth Adapter for MB with Becker Radio, Wireless Car CD Stereo AUX Music Interface for MB 1994-2002
ASIN: B07MFY77V2
Manufacturer: HRB
Price: $32.99
PS: there may be other even cheaper Bluetooth modules there on Amazon and other websites. I'd suggest doing a price comparison before making a purchase.
The Grom with the red 10 pin iso connector is for the factory Mercedes Becker radios like Becker Special and Becker Exquisit, used in w124 and w126 Mercedes.
Yup, I purchased Grom for my stock Becker 1492 radio. But later I found Becker Monza with 20-pin mini ISO port (for 20-pin connector) and I had to purchase Bluetooth adapter with an appropriate connector.
How did you manage to turn on the aux mode in this radio? I have the same one but can't find a way to activate it
Good day, in my mb radio from w202 99' I don't have aux. Will it work on CD mode without a CD? I don't know why but I have only tape radio and there's still CD mode lol
Hey, it's my other account. I think if your factory head unit has port for a CD changer on the back then you may be able to use such Bluetooth adapter. It simply needs to be inserted into a CD changer port.
Fantastic solution , that is thinking outside the box. If you have static , you need to add another ground from the Becker to the chasis and and that will eliminate it
Yup, thank you! I'll try to run an extra ground wire from Becker's ground (socket A - pin 8). I wonder if I can I run an extra ground wire from ground wire on that Bluetooth module that is connected to the Becker Monza radio?
@@NoWheelDrive I would run a brand new ground to radio frame from the car chasis. If you still have static then ground the bluetooth adapter as well
@@ashwinramadhar7757 Thank you! At least I could quickly test if it works by connecting the frame to a bolt on the door.
@@NoWheelDrive right you are
@@NoWheelDrive What type is your other radio?? Becker Classic? Special? Exquisit?
Did you find a way how to connect it, that it isn‘t permanently on, respectively in standby and sucks battery power?
Hey it's my other account in Russian. Unfortunately, I haven't done anything with this small project. Actually I forgot it stays on. Idk how it actually impacts the battery. At this moment I'd like to try a Continental radio which looks pretty close to an OEM radio. I hope to get a Continental some time in 2023 or later. Just don't have enough time for car projects at this moment...
Are you still having issues with static noise?
Probably yes. I didn't pay attention yesterday. I know that I could make my music loud enough so I won't here that static but ideally I'd like to get rid of any static noise. I'm sorry I didn't reply to your previous comment in my other video. I left that UA-cam email notification unread to make sure I return to it a bit later.
@@NoWheelDrive thats great you got the new radio to work with bluetooth.
@@zach359 Yeah, thank you. I think I'll stick to Becker Monza for now and won't purchase aftermarket radios like Continental etc.
@@NoWheelDrive Yea i try and stick to Becker and OEM models. The quality is never the same if you don't and it is an absolute nightmare wiring wise if you use another brand. The older models w123 & w126 etc... were the hardest, they used the fader switch as the ground and wiring that system up with no factory was so hard. lol truly a test
@@zach359 Yeah I feel you. Trying to marry old propreitory tech with new aftermarket tech could be a royal PITA. So I'll wait for YATOUR that should be delivered on Thursday and then I hope to make a quick decision on which module I'll keep in my W140.
Отличный трек на 6:32
Спасибо! Последнее творчество Децла мне понравилось. Жаль, что он так быстро ушёл после этого. Сейчас бы возможно подарил бы миру ещё массу отличных треков...
