There was is Korpiklaani with more folk. It was called Shamaniac, and preceded Korpiklaani. And it was. indeed. awesome. Before that they were Shaman/Shamani dou, and back than they were pure folk.
Just discovered the Dread Crew by accident and think their great. Revitalised my love of music. Never seen a “Toy Piano” used so effectively ! Wonderful, cheers you up on miserable mornings !!!!
I enjoy the fact that you guys didnt just do a cover of the song but also of the video. Cant wait to go to the ren fair again this year to see you guys.
I absolutely love how you guys also covered the clip.. i was laughing really hard when the mandoline (?) stepped out of that barn holding it waist-high :D
You guys are awesome! I just found out about you yesterday when my friend posted a video of you guys playing "They're Taking the Hobbits to Isengard" and now after watching/listening I am a fan!
Oh wow, I saw you guys at the L.A. Renaissance Faire back in April of this year (2015). You were the very first act I saw when I got there and definitely a highlight of it. Amazing music indeed!
deyvid machado Is there bands that mix Brazilian folk, samba rhythms, etc to heavy metal? I've heard Sepultura had some elements but they were too death metal to me. Something positive uplifting vibe what I'm looking for :)
Caught you guys on the Corridor Digital Assassins Creed video and had to check you out. Love the old fashioned Celtic music covers you guys have going on you earned yourself a new sub.
Had never heard of you guys prior to your tour with Swashbuckle and Alestorm. Eric (legendary pirate king) told me that you guys would be right up my alley; and...well he's not been wrong. Good shit guys.
Yeah, I came to the seattle show. I'm friends with the dudes in Swashbuckle; so it was fitting I'd show up. (If anything to promote my record label too haha) Good show though.
You kick some major ass! Never heard of you guys before, but now I wanna know and hear more! Too bad that folk music (metal or not) is not very popular here in Mexico, I would love to see you guys play. Keep it up though, you've won one more adept!
GUYS! I just watched your version of They're Taking The Hobbits To Isengard and the first thing I thought was "THEY ARE THE KORPIKLAANI OF MIDDLE EARTH" and now I saw you actulaay make covers of Korpiklaani xD Btw I want you to play on my wedding.
Could you please come to the Antwerp Belgium "De quaeye werelt"festival :D we get to see Prima Nocta every year and although they are awesome we are kinda tired of them XD you are awesome!!!
Wish more of your great songs and covers were available on CD!! Saw you guys in Tampa, FL with Alestorm. You guys were awesome!! Bought all 3 of your CDs at the show, and I love them all!! I work at Pirate Fashions ( www.piratefashions.com ) and we added your CDs to our music collection that we play in our store for our customers to hear :) Please come back and play another show soon!! You guys rocked!!
Heard you guys for the first time today and fell in love with the style at once! Great treatment of a great song. I like the fact that you made the video look like the original too. I kind of hoped that you would include the PERKELE! shout at the end though.
Your folky version is so lovely! Different from Korpiklaani, but I like to listen to both versions. Turisas Cover is better than the original for me. Continue the good work!
Absolutely amazing video here. Whatever happened to the original one by Korpiklaani anyway? (That this one is obviously based off of). All I can find is a live version by the band which isn't even CLOSE to being as entertaining.
What? no! These are all totally original shots :-P. Last we heard the Korpiklaani video was taken down last week for some sort of legal reasons in the US. Not sure about right now or elsewhere in the world.
I see, well, I certainly hope it doesn't happen to this one too! Judging by all of your expressions in the video, you must have had a lot of fun doing this though huh? It's certainly fun to watch, that's for sure!
There's men, underground, who have never seen the sun But they really know how to party Little men from underground, who have never seen the sun But the really know how to party They rise their wooden pints and they yoik and sing And they fight and dance 'til the morning They rise their wooden pints and they yoik and sing And they fight and dance 'til the morning And they fight and dance 'til the morning And they fight and dance 'til the morning Tables full, reindeer meat And the camp fire shines and the brick walls are full candles Tables full, wooden pints They don't care about their sins They just wanna get drunk and party They rise their wooden pints and they yoik and sing And they fight and dance 'til the morning They rise their wooden pints and they yoik and sing And they fight and dance 'til the morning And they fight and dance 'til the morning And they fight and dance 'til the morning Long war is now past Only good men have lasted They need women, meat, beer and rom Fight battle full of blood no thoughts about God They just slaughtered killed and tormented They rise their wooden pints and they yoik and sing And they fight and dance 'til the morning They rise their wooden pints and they yoik and sing And they fight and dance 'til the morning And they fight and dance 'til the morning And they fight and dance 'til the morning They just slaughtered killed and tormented! My therapist : The Pirate Korpiklaani isn't real, it can't hurt you
The Pirate Korpiklaani :
hahaha. You win the comments section!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
literally eveyone when quarantine is over.
I'm gonna do what the tin whistler does at 2:10!
😂
Proof that you can put more folk in Korpiklaani and still make it awesome
There was is Korpiklaani with more folk. It was called Shamaniac, and preceded Korpiklaani. And it was. indeed. awesome. Before that they were Shaman/Shamani dou, and back than they were pure folk.
@@RigAJigglypuff Only Jonne Järvelä was part of that
What did it for me was the epic somersault at 2:10.
And if you put even more folk into Korpiklaani, you get Finntroll.

The guy in the front left that's playing one drum with a hammer is my hero.
I like how that guy came out of the shed like the violinist in Korpiklaani out of the house
the unforgotten Hittavainen
Oh man. That zoom in and out on the mandolin. So intense.

Currently listening to: The Dread Crew of Oddwood - Wooden Pints
There's men, underground, who have never seen the sun
But they really know how to party
Little men from underground, who have never seen the sun
But the really know how to party
They rise their wooden pints and they yoik and sing
And they fight and dance 'til the morning
They rise their wooden pints and they yoik and sing
And they fight and dance 'til the morning
And they fight and dance 'til the morning
And they fight and dance 'til the morning
Tables full, reindeer meat
And the camp fire shines and the brick walls are full candles
Tables full, wooden pints
They don't care about their sins
They just wanna get drunk and party
They rise their wooden pints and they yoik and sing
And they fight and dance 'til the morning
They rise their wooden pints and they yoik and sing
And they fight and dance 'til the morning
And they fight and dance 'til the morning
And they fight and dance 'til the morning
Long war is now past
Only good men have lasted
They need women, meat, beer and rom
Fight battle full of blood no thoughts about God
They just slaughtered killed and tormented
They rise their wooden pints and they yoik and sing
And they fight and dance 'til the morning
They rise their wooden pints and they yoik and sing
And they fight and dance 'til the morning
And they fight and dance 'til the morning
And they fight and dance 'til the morning
They just slaughtered killed and tormented!
They rise their wooden pints and they yoik and sing
And they fight and dance 'til the morning
And they fight and dance 'til the morning
And they fight and dance 'til the morning
when i saw the axe chop at the start, i knew it was going to be good
