Hubby did OP a grave disservice. Knew how his mother was but didn't warn OP. Then when she kidnapped the baby, he blamed OP.
A very moving story but so very very sad. What a fine young man her son became after twenty five years with a toxic evil grandmother. I wonder how often this happens. I hope this story helps others in circumstances like this?

Yes, I would forgive, but for MY OWN sake, not theirs. Forgiveness is NOT saying that what the person did is okay, nor does it mean that you need to trust or befriend the one you forgive. It’s about releasing a person or situation to the Lord. Some say that holding on to anger and hatred is like drinking poison and hoping the other person would die; as someone who has suffered many injustices in life, I know this to be true. I forgive for my own peace of mind and for my relationship with Jesus, NOT because injustice or abuse is okay.
I would also draw strict boundaries to prevent injustice from happening again or I should say I HAVE DONE this.
