Changing Faces - Severn Valley Railway Winter Steam Gala 2024

This gala is the first Severn Valley Winter Steam Gala, the Railway’s home fleet is out on full display minus the main guest (that being USATC S160 2253 “Omaha” after failing days prior and at the Autumn Steam Gala), The SVR’s BR Standard 4 (75069) stood in for Omaha and appeared both days of the gala.
Some old faces return for the gala in the form of LMS Stanier Mogul (2968) fresh from overhaul and GWR Manor Class (7812) back from her visit to the West Somerset Railway
We’ll also be saying farewell to two of the Severn Valley’s home fleet, this being LMS Ivatt class 4 (43106) coming out of it’s 10-year boiler ticket and SR West Country Class “Taw Valley” (34027) being taken out for work after the gala.
