I’m kinda mixed about it, definitely could have ran another major to see potential due to Seth departing. Business opinion: liabilities outside of competition and inconsistencies in game with low performance when needed. Money is money and time becomes of the essence for Illey, great guy and due respect. Not like this but that’s business. Personal: I don’t think the CDL or gaming at a high level and for large, large audiences, changes are needed and it’s time. A new era and hopefully gamers around the world can make more of gaming than being a viewer. So I’m all for changes and the drama. It comes with success in this world unfortunately. It is tough tough
I think illey being dropped was a great move. Illey went negative in almost every respawn matchup. Weather it be hardpoint or control. He's amazing in s&d and you could argue faze did the same with slasher he is amazing at s&d which I'd argue yes but optic doesn't have the tiny terrors. They got huke and shotzzy, and they both go negative usually in hardpoints and I get it aggressive smg I play objective smg but I'm aggressive too and I'd say that's great if they get time but I rarely see them over a minute and a half. Like with surge mack is the objective smg you can see it. He gets 2 plus usually when they are playing good so if optic had an smg like a consistent mack, then yeah it'd be great to keep illey. I like ghosty from what I saw in pro 8s octane stream he looked good I hope they get pred in the off-season maybe sib if they can get him that'd be great pred, shotzzy, dashy, and ghosty I like that lineup I think they'd be dangerous.
I believe that illeys problem is that he doesn't listen to in game critique. There's no way they were telling him to run snipe still round 10 round 11. They need a young guy that will take orders and do what the will of the team is.
I am excited to see if Ghosty can rise to the occasion. I imagine he is under an immense amount of pressure entering the league and immediately joining one of the most storied organizations. Sad to see Illey go, and not sure if this is the change that was necessarily needed, but from listening to Huke on the eavesdrop podcast with H3CZ it sounds like this is the move the players thought collectively was needed. So, just going to trust their judgement on this one and hope for the best as a fan. I'll always be an Illey fan wherever he goes, as I am of Envoy, Arcitys, and others who have came through OG in the past. Illey will no doubt be just fine, and any team would be pack a punched by picking up the pope. Great vid!
Huke and Shotzzy's bonehead plays costed however. However there are two things I like from this move. Fist off I am glad to see Optic finally take a look at some of the up and coming talent and taking a chance on a potential star. As opposed to always watching them go to other teams. Secondly I'm not sure why the fanbase is acting like Illey was untouchable. He was extremely inconsistent, when he was good he was good but when he was bad he looked like a bottom tier player, and was an overrated leader. As often he sounded the most frantic. Ghosty was wanted by several teams and there was a pretty wide consensus that he was by far the best Am talent on the come up. Optic pounced and quite frankly it's refreshing to see them take a chance. If Illey wasn't the first guy out the door he would have been gone at some point in the year. Atl least this way they get a potential impact player in his place.
I feel like Dashy and shottzy are both IGL now and they didn't need a 3rd IGL. They needed another slayer and I think it's a great move. Now was it a good move befor there home major? I'm not sure. But for the long run I think it's great. GL to illey and his future. He's definitely got to get picked up.
Idk how this will work. Team work has to click pretty fast. More interested to see what they do with illey. What if they trade him to Boston for beans. Then sib and pred walk on over to optic at seasons end. Gonna be a lot of phone calls to optic and first on list would be Seattle. Check mate. Speculative obviously
It doesn’t matter if you have cdl experience or not, leadership can and a lot of the times is a natural trait. It has nothing to do with experience it’s a personality type. Experience definitely helps though
Band0 land0 🤝shake my hand. Also, I been fcking with ur commentary as of the recent major. Top notch! Also, with ghosty, he seems “alright” in scrims, but tbh idk, I feel like his repetitions will determine how well he does with pro’s but he’s been having peoples numbers in 8’s, let that be known FSHOOOOO! I’m optimistic about this kid, but we willl see. As for illey, idgaf because that’s a shit show and I feel bad for him, but it is what it is.
iLLey was a sore loser when he lost. We seen it in "The process" last year. Breaking his controller, talking back to Rambo. It's not a good look and I can't imagine how he made his teammates feel.
Was OpTic Texas dropping iLLeY the right move? YES OR NO?

The amount of people out here defending a guy who is bottom 6 k/d in the league and someone who wanted and plotted to drop Dashy is mind blowing.
That’s what I’m saying man

In the listen ins I hear dashy alot making calls and taking a leadership role and I think he is getting pretty good at it
Appreciate you for making this content Lando!
Good to have you back to uploading Lando!
GOAT IS BACK BABYYYY
Great content Lando.
LandO back? Great way to end the week 👏🏽
Love the content totally understandable you have been busy. Keep it coming when you can
will there be a vlog for this major
Dashy didnt go aggro on that control map, ge was hiding from a player pushing behind because illey wasnt covering
Idk how this will work. Team work has to click pretty fast.

Love the content, keep it up. I hope to see a post major 2 recap and or tier list.
It sounds so dumb hearing people say optic need a veteran voice. Like shottzy and Dashy arnt vets at this point
Like for real brandon been around awhile now

I am not sure if it was a great move , it will work or it will not. Wait to see how they do, this has been a crazy year so far. Growing pains again!
WANDO!!!
I’ve always said illey was not good enough to be on this roaster and I’m glad optic is taking a chance on a promising challenger
I think Seattle should drop accuracy and pick up illey

One could argue that optic could ended up top 6. If had it not been for dashy heroics on a certain hand point vs Boston.
Nothing to argue it's fact.

👍😎👍
If Seattle wants Inder from us i would run the price up on purpose just like they did to us
TBH, Optic was pretty good. I don’t get the sudden change (best of luck and blessings)
They won’t allow him to surge after the pred situation
They struggled to get top 4 not only that but they wanted to drop illey anyway they did it last season.
Illey was igl, why does everyone keep saying he’s the only talker and leader they have
It’s crazy to think of OpTic didn’t hesitate on illey/Dashy offseason drop we could very well be looking at a Scumpii/Shottzy/Pred/Hydra lineup
I think they did but who's knows I'm just a stoner that likes watching cod
Dashy had to move to that spot because of shotzzy dying that shotzzy play is one of the worst plays in cod history
Stupid dropping illey
The IGL thing is soooooo overrated
