He is very open about being sober now. He stopped drinking and smoking around 2019. His girlfriend Lisa convinced him he’d be better if he was more focused.

Man I'm so mindblown right now. I went down the rabbit hole of HM vids again and kept wondering (as I'm high out my mind) if he ever use to smoke and stopped so that he could get better. And here's the answer in plain sight for me. What a sign from the universe 🙏
He talks about that he used smoke, but it started to make him feel paranoid at some point and was making him second guess his music and his abilities, so he put it down to lean into his career. He makes it a point to only speak his experience on it though; I'd go so far as to say he's an advocate for it, for the people that choose to use it. In other words, he doesn't have an agenda on either side of the issue, he accepts peoples' choices regardless and is honest about his own experience.

Yes, being clean and sober is part of H Mack's thing. He used to smoke A LOT of green, but it made him really anxious and paranoid, so he quit. He's been clean for a long time and he's very open about it.

What harry mack did in this is just pure insanity. No wonder he is so amazing at freestyle if this is how he practices.
I remember listening to his live 10 hour freestyle, falling asleep to it and having crazy dreams then waking up in the morning with him still going doing mostly double and triple speed ludicrous lyrics
He has been obsessively practicing for 23 years as well since he was 11 and he is 33 now. Wordplay Wednesday is definitely something he can utilize to practice but it’s more for just fun and shit. He practices using word generator too and he practices rhyming couplets, and his Setup/Punchline technique. And he also practices using less filler words and sentences, which could be reducing how many times he says “HMack” and or other things.

I used to come to your channel exclusively for harry mack reactions. I listened to you freestyle once, a long time ago. Maybe its because i compared you to harry, but i thought you were just mid. Like 6/10. So i would come and watch you react to harry, and skip most of your freestyles since they didnt entertain me that much. Then for the first time in months, i finally gave you another shot, and sat through the freestyle. And man. You have evolved soooooo much. I was thoroughly entertained, and now ive watched your freestyles on the last 3-4 videos. Props to you. Your skills are shining brightly on my day, thank you for shining and making my day better.

I've followed Harry Mack from the time I first heard him. Seeing his podcast had me in shock how he can read everything that gets typed and continues rapping at the same time. His cadence is unbelievable and I still can't figure out why he isn't mentioned more when discussing the best Rappers ever. I just think he doesn't get his fair share of respect not to mention clout.
