Airsoft berettas with full auto capability usually jam in full auto. It's a common problem amongst all of them regardless of brand. WE, Rossi and Umarex.
You can get springs custom made to literally any spec you want, so if you can just find out the type of spring is broken in your gun, and custom order one to the same size, weight, and tension from a spring making company. It shouldn't cost more than $30 at most. You don't need one from the airsoft gun company, they just get them from spring making companies anyways.
I have the Sig M18 but the only difference is the slide and guide rail are longer. Both work the same though. On the M17, the hop up is changed by rotating the guide rail when the slide is locked back. You can also remove the slide by rotating the frontward lever in front of trigger guard on the side of the frame when the slide is in the locked position. One you release the slide forward (HOLDING IT so it doesn't fly off!!!), you can rotate the gear connected to it to change the HOP or compress the guide rail out and rescrew it to its state where closed fully so it sits flush with the front of the slide under the barrel. You can then remove the barrel assembly and work on the gun further if needed. I don't know if this will help anyone but there you go.
