This was the first time I've ever seen two players hugging each other after the match. Very rare in table tennis. Normally they only shake hands for a millisecond, which looks really aloof and impersonal. Nice to see two players who really respect each other as two men with the same passion for the sport...
Very theatrical and cool to see the US open on a channel I subscribe to. 8>)
Hello Adam
@grandkarate Your said beliefs are correct. The NCTTA is a growing organization that is making great strides with collegiate table tennis. I actually have been running the Southern California division for the past few years & will continue to. Our division has grown every year since I started USC's Ping Pong Posse & helped UCLA form a club to get a region going. We are working to get in High Schools, then middle schools, then elementary. The sport is very popular, it just needs organization.
Wow, you had an account 10 years ago!
There is no doubt Kamal is really good because his routine and techniques are quite offensive. Keinath was just a little too cocky for me, but in the end, that was the best shakehand I've ever seen, or a hug to be exact.
thanx ttprovider i was looking for this one..
@justin90876 Good question. As an American who loves table tennis and wants to grow the sport, it's an important question. I think the country needs to see how this sport can generate money in the US. I think that's the motivation for many things in the US (generally speaking). Maybe getting it into our schools would be a good start. We're working on teams leagues as we speak. It's a step in a long journey. 8>)
Great match - Thomas was a squealing jerk during the match, but to his credit showed good sportsmanship at the end.
nice style of play by Kamal & really great come back :)
Nice collection to see!!!
I would like to see old type exbition matches with funny exbitting action yet playing perfect game. Have you got any to exhibit
could you upload the semis? i heard they were pretty good too
much more show in the US
we couldn't expect less from the best player in India, good job Kamal, you sure beat some ass!!!!
@adambobrow I believe there is a collegiate table tennis league but it is not that big, instead of integrating it into schools we need to expand it.
Where are all the top players? US Open is not the same anymore...
what a match!
Upload Under 9 Finals! GO KEVIN LI :D
@gravedigger02 no that isnt rare^^most european players do this^^
nice playing by achanta
@ersguterjunge467 Doesn't really happen that much though
@bartek4443
I'm just asking the question overall. American players, when compared to players from China and European players, are not good.
@kmml1972
Thomas is not from the U.S
Thomas is a german playing now for Slovakia and he is deaf.
@xSauseBrausex he moves like a bobblehead
A lot of "method acting" by Keinath i suppose.
oh really....i am currently my college champion for consecutive 2 yrs....i dont think so u really hv any knowledge about TT....my comment was just fun worth...got it??
2:52 jumping keinath :D#
the point 6:01 makes the match watchable....:)
@grandkarate Yeah, he sure beat his ass by winning by the most narrow margin possible in the sport after a come back. Kamal did beat Chen Weixing's ass if you wanna look that up though.
This s great . and also i'm proved to be an indian
@abhishek14d ._. oooomg college champion. so good ._. sike.
@livingeasi tell me he looks just like a manic Kevin Costner
Why are they so happy ? they must have won a lot of money lol
@danielyoon05 hahahaha.....rofl
Thomas he tried to use "monkey and angry face" tactics to win this match but he couldn't. Check his play in other videos he didn't have this unsportmanship tactic.
@kenneyy88 i know he is not but when he is here sucking it up he sure acts like one....no excuses win period..
i agree with the majority, the red dude is uber annoying! carrying on like an old chook while Kamal is just awesome. like roger federer
Keinath is worse than me out there...yelling shit at himself after every lost point
You have to know, that Thomas is deaf.
keinath the clown
guy in red... get over yourself!
wow keinath's technique sucks. completely using arm
Have to say, like some others here, found Keinath a bit of an ass...
no, he was an ass.
I like Achanta's game
@justin90876, The answer to your question is fairly simple. Maybe you know the answer but wanted to ask aloud all the same.
It is not part of American "culture" and as such does not cultivate players from a young age, developing them with great infrastructure & competition nor does it draw the most talented athletes to it as there is:
a. no glory in it
but really
b. NO MONEY in it
I'm so glad Kamal won. Keinath is my least favorite player in all of tt. Nothing personal, his spastic style is just so ugly to watch, makes the sport look silly. *(not remarking about his ability in any regard, just don't like the way it looks)
